I primarily use PowerPoint in giving presentations by only putting basic information on a slide and talking around it, in these cases that lead to a discussion it can be really easy to add discussion points onto the slide or in the notes for each slide. The Presenter mode is fantastic in helping keep a flow - I can make slide notes that appear large so my detail can go there rather than on the slide, I can also see what is coming up which helps my flow.
