It allows our business to easily create different dashboards which we have displaying various information around the office and production area

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

sometimes it can crash and require the user to go to a specific URL for it too work which is inconvenient for the dashboards

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 2. Power Apps!! Create an App without Coding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamed Adil S. | Processs Data Engineer at Shell, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

The best thing about using Power Apps is creating an app without coding.
The Drag and drop interface is much easier.
Knowing a few excel functions would be sufficient.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Templates used in Microsoft Power Apps do not have good Visualizations; also, though PowerApps has the functionality to convert Excel files into Power Apps, its visualization is not good enough.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of creating an app within the organization without the knowledge of coding is excellent.
My organization was solving the problem of noting down the data at the site for raising any request since we have limited availability for the same.
Then that data can be viewed by the office team and uploaded to a system like SAP or Oracle.
We are currently working on future enhancements to incorporate Power Apps with SAP so that any request can be completed through the power apps itself.

  ### 3. Easy to create new app quickly with numerous data source.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivek P. | Cloud and M365 architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

1- Easy to create a new app with low developing knowledge.
2- You can easily connect with many data sources like excel, SharePoint, Dataverse etc.
3- Support for mobile and desktop app creation.
4- Support of modern controls and AI makes it even more usable

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

1- Per user plan is quite expensive
2- You cannot customize the existing controls much.
3- App works well with delegation limit of 500 but beyond that it start showing performance issue

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PowerApps helps quickly create new desktop/ mobile app for any requirement without any prior coding knowledge. It supports lots of connectors, which allows connecting with so many apps inside office365 suite

  ### 4. Powerful tool with a lot of quirks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon Z. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Power Apps have quite a lot of features allowing you to create forms/applications with very little code. I like the way it integrates not only with the power platform as well as so many divergent sources. Among other sources, we integrate Power Apps, with the Power Automate platform, SharePoint and SQL.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

It is very quirky. Often you have to struggle with the product to get the desired outcome. A real common example is the layout of fields in a form. Once you understand how it works, it's a little easier, but it's not an intuitive WYSIWYG, drag & drop interface as you expect. But hundreds of little quirks take a lot of frustration and time, but once learned it's easier to create apps.
Another dislike is the fact that Microsoft sometimes updates the platform, causing regressions in the apps and forcing reconnections to data sources in apps that were previously working.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Power Apps throughout the organization for various applications; two examples are a system for requesting paid-time off, and another example is an internal ticketing system.

  ### 5. Experience as PowerApps Consultant and Architect

- Low code and No code development
- Seamless integration with other 365 services
- Huge pool of Connectors apart from 365 services
- Build Tier 1 and Tier 2 apps like Timesheet, and Leave Management for your organisation

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

- Licensing part (No external integration)
- Only one developer can work at a time
- Threshold limit is too less; we have only 500 as the first round of the threshold and upto 2000, compensating for the performance

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily business needs
Apps for users who don't need coding knowledge but still want to customize the forms
Easy integration with other systems without spending too much time

  ### 6. Good Option For Low Code No Code

The best thing with powerapps is that it teaches you how to create quick and easy applications for any need you may have, from generating tickets, posting information to a sharepoint list, without the need to have an adequate level of programming.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

The bad thing about powerapps is that the quick and easy solutions are only 100 percent functional with microsoft products for this you must have licenses of the products, you must also take into account many things for the stability of the app that is not saturated and that the application becomes slow, and if you want more features you must get fully into the programming language that handles powerapps.

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

It's super quick to start developing in Power Apps. Everything is ready to use and with just a few clicks, you can start without worrying about the infrastructure. This could be ok for small internal projects, but in my company has proved to be a show stopper when addressing mid-size projects or taking smaller ones into production.

The licensing model. Once you have baited and start using the product, which is almost free and you start having some dependency (time invested, resources, knowledge...), suddenly costs start rising in an unpredictable way that we couldn't understand.

We can connect ample resources of data sources like excel, outlook, Microsoft dataverse, dynamic 365, SQL Server, SharePoint and more and built apps more meaningful and powerful.

I like that different pieces of software and information can be brought together in a app or program to make the running of processes automated. I personally have used the app in several situations to increase productivity - in my case as a form is submitted, it will automatically generate a pdf file of the results formatted to my clients email.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

I would love more tutorials and support to be given by the Microsoft team as for a new user, it was tricky to understand. Over a number of YouTube tutorials by other creators, I was able to successfully navigate through the process.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am increasing my productivity by automating processes allowing me to spend more time in what matters. It reduces my manual input to gather information together.

  ### 35. Good and bad

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Canvas Apps are super powerful and a great way to develop internal line of business applications.
Model-Driven Apps are great for quick data entry applications but don't expect anything more.
Portals support multiple authentication providers and allows you to build "apps", really basic websites, for external users.
The Dataverse is a powerful and easy way to build a relational database.
Connectors to other services and products are really powerful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?**

Canvas Apps are only for internal users, you cannot expose them to consumers outside of your organization.
Model-Driven Apps are just Dynamics CRM forms and the experience is just as frustrating. These model-driven apps are also only for internal users.
Portals are very painful to use and is not a low code solution. You'll need web development skills to use Portals which defeats the purpose of a low code platform.
Not all data types from Dataverse is supported equally among the different types of Power Apps.
Power Apps is supposed to be easy to use, even for users who aren't professional developers, but it's really not.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Build common workflow applications to digitize and automate government processes.
