Microsoft planner has all the features I need in a collaborative task planner, with the added bonus of seamless integration throughout office 365. As with all things Microsoft, new features and innovation are slow to progress and it can be easy to feel 'locked in' to certain parameters, e.g. plans must be linked to a team, etc... It will be better to send a notification to the person when the task is assigned. The comments section has some character limitations. It will be difficult to assign the date to sub-tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing i like is to assign project tasks to the team mates who are actually capable of doing that and can also change that if required. Also provides the real time updates from the team when they update about their tasks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When marking task as "done" it disappears from the checklist sometimes which creates problem

I like the way Planner enables efficient teamwork and effective communication. It makes it easy to share files between members through chat, video calls, audio recordings and desktops. I find Microsoft Planner to be very limited when it comes to filters, alerts and a powerful search function. In addition, I'm often surprised by the regular updates, which conveniently require an active Office 365 Business licence for a successful launch - which can prove difficult if you don't always have a reliable internet connection.
