**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rupali M. | IoT Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft planner is the platform where you can add the buckets of multiple plns which is quite useful and easy to track the status as we can mark the progress and prority level, note for the the particular bucket, as i mentioned above we can also mark the progess and prority level for the same. The another interesting feacture is that we can add comment for the backet for clear understnding and the file attachments also.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Planner is always useful but for microsoft planner, a user should have the access of planner that maybe not possible for everyone and the platform is quite confusing for the begginner candidates like the fully navigation of the planner. The user should have basic knowledge of the patform so that they cn use the planner in efficient way.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is usefull as we can easily edit the label of any plan as per requirements. we can also check the chart where overall bucket and its progess status. Micrsoft planner also provide the schedule category where an individual can check the plan and add directly from there. Moreover we can share that particular plan with teams or particular person which is quite benefial when we are working in a team.

  ### 8. Best Tool to keep track on your projects, work, task by assigning to your team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pushpak P. | Co-Founder and Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

The best part is creating tasks, and creating buckets. Give the additional note to Tasks like Importance, Comments, Multiple sub-task, and tick mark once complete. There are number of features which are used for individual or small team members

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

There are No advanced features where. No reminder to task to give notification after assigning the task. No graph representation of the task, No voice notification if we want to assign to one particular task.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to keep track of the assigned task, it helps to segregate tasks among your team or colleague. Keep your all task planning for now and future up to date.

  ### 9. Great tool for workload sharing and monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor K. | Product evolution and deployment Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Planner is great for sharing tasks between team members. You can create so called "Buckets" and put in them topic related task cards. Then appoint the card to a team member(s), appoint bullet points of activities and set due dates, importance of the task. Once a bullet point is completed in can bi stricken through and this adds to the completion % of the whole task Card.
It is really helpful tool to plan regular, repeating activities that need to be shared with others. Helps with progress monitoring.
Planner can also present task Cards due dates on a calendar and you can get insights on performance of tasks - how many were out of date v/s how many completed on time.
It also sends notifications to outlook for outstanding items and due deadlines.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Would love to see Microsoft Planner integration with Microsoft Teams. With a deeper conenction to the teams created and files shared on the same platform.
Microsoft brought in To Do lists and tried to integrate them with Planner, but there is a massive loss of view of the Task Cards from the planner.
As well as the different aspects of each task/project. It just fails to work smoothly in my opinion.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Planner has answered many of my personal day-to-day needs for better organization and planning.
It helps my team massively in knowing what jobs and activities we need to perform, as we have multiple projects.
It makes it easier to share specific objectives and duties while helping managers to monitor the progress of remote teams.
The deadlines and responsible member features help a lot with aligning the team direction and vision of development and workload.

  ### 10. Great team management tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

This tool is great for collaborating. It is easy to create projects, tasks, and deadlines. You can assign tasks to team members, and there's even a comment section to manage questions/updates/details.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

There isn't a way to set a reoccurring task, so adding those tasks weekly or monthly is tedious. I also wish you could delete or update the note section of each task as project requirements and urgency can change.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With my team being fully remote, Microsoft Planner allows us to collaborate better. Our team can easily set, manage and meet expectations. Having a user-friendly experience also ensures we quickly onboard new team members.

  ### 11. Using Microsoft Planner for meetings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft Planner is easy to use and powerful enough to keep my information organized. I use it for meetings, and it provides a shared Agenda/Action Items/Discussion list for all to see.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft Planner is simple, and that is perhaps also a reason for slight criticism. I would like to have a WYSIWYG interface when inputting the Notes for a planner card. Currently, I have no way of formatting the text within the Notes section.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Planner provides a virtual whiteboard that can be shared across teams. We can add items before meetings, and increase productivity by providing shared visibility.

  ### 12. Great tool for planning and assigning tasks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I like everything about this tool. We can easily assign tasks keep a tab on our tasks assign them to appropriate individuals can show the urgency, due dates etc which are needed to handle various tasks.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

I like everything about the app. It is very helpful. I think the app has served all the objectives . It would be great if it could automatically send reminders in case the due date is missed.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has some amazing features like importance of the task, labelling the buckets, making the buckets, color coding the tasks, we can group them differently. It can also show graphs which are indicative of various parameters.

  ### 13. Great for planning and ticking off tasks.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antoaneta S. | O, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

It is very simple to add new tasks and input as many as needed details about the task and can visualize the whole picture. Compared to others is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

The little tabs open for new tasks are quite space taken and it might be useful to be more like bullet points, I guess as an option. When the task done has been moved and not visible.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

It is an easy-to-use tool and it helps to jump and start using it without any worries.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working on new projects with teams and adding all tasks which are required to build schedules and actions. Assigning it to all stakeholders has been brilliant and can follow on changes.

  ### 14. Straightforward, easy to use project management tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

1. Since it is a Microsoft offering, you already know that it is user-friendly and compatibility is high.
2. It works just as well on both computers and smartphones so you don't have to scramble for your laptop when you are on the go.
3. Works well for both personal and lightweight projects plus enterprise-wide heavy projects.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

1. Well, subscription-based solutions are not for everybody so it is not entirely surprising that some users, especially those who already don't have Office 365 licenses, will opt for the free solutions to manage their projects.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

If you are already an Office 365 user then you should be using Planner, no question about it.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Collaboration and accountability are made easy. You can work on the same project with many people and they can all have access to all your plans. This increases productivity when accountability is involved.

  ### 15. Planner review - Easy to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshal R. | PM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

The Microsoft planner has a very simple and intuitive user interface. The planning of any task becomes easy with the Microsoft planner. The Kanban board is also very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

The detail project planning is not available in the Microsoft planner software like other very detailed project management software available in the market. If you are looking for detailed one, then planner may not work.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The user friendly interface and ease of defining the tasks and their details becomes easy with the Microsoft planner. The monitoring of tasks helps in identifying the bottlenecks.

  ### 16. A great tool included with your O365 Suite

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

It makes it super easy to create projects, manage task schedules, and delegate work to your team. Plus, it works on your computer and your mobile.
The best of all is that it is free with most Office 365 Licenses, so you're essentially getting more value with what you're already paying.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

There is not much to be disappointed about with Planner because planning is what it does best. There are a few limitations mainly on the customisation side; otherwise, it's excellent.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Creating Projects
- Planning Tasks
- Setting deadlines
- Identifying KPIs
- Clarity among team members

  ### 17. Well Integrated Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandra P. | Administrative Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I love the way it keeps my tasks and my colleague's tasks well tracked. It's so nice to organize them using buckets. You can create many plans and arrange them as you need. Labels are great to add another layer of segmentation to your tasks. I have especially appreciated the ability to add documents in a task, which is also added to sharepoint. That makes it possible to the whole team to collaborate on that task. You can add comments and even subtasks. Planner has another screen in which you can see only the tasks assigned to you, no matter what plan it belongs to.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Not being able to create automated tasks periodically has been a bit frustrating. Power Automate is not an option form me, so I wish it was native to Planner. Notifications have been very unconsisting. On the other hand, it only lets me add documents that are in my Team's documents folder. Other SharePoint folders are not available.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

Make sure you keeep it connected to a Team. Allso, make sure to implement other Microsoft 365 tools that work with Planner.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track our team's tasks using Planner. We've seen the benefits when organizing projects. It definitely improves our productivity since everyone knows what to do.

  ### 18. Task planner by Microsoft

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh S. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

No, I do not have any dislike as of now. I am using tasks daily.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

If You are Microsoft user, than try for Task planner

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using task to maintain to Projects status and progress and all update from the team and Clients.

  ### 19. Delegate tasks at east with Planner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

If your team is already using a variety of Office365 apps, then Planner is an excellent addition to your workflow. I can easily assign tasks with deadlines to specific individuals that they can be alerted to and focus on. This allows me to plan out the tasks for a given day or project without syncing up with my team members first.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Your IT team will have to set up the access permissions for Planner based on your organization's structure. This can lead to some missing permissions during the setup phase, which might not let your team all see the same items at the same time.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

Planner is highly recommended as a way to keep track of your team's work using Office365.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Planner to keep track of tasks and responsibilities across multiple shifts, both day and night. I do not need to wait until the night shift crew arrives to see what they are working on, what they have already completed, and what they have due later today.

  ### 20. Microsoft Planner, Manage tasks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rizwan K. | Assistant Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

This tool integrates with other O365 products like Teams, outlook etc which makes it more useful. We can create and assign tasks to our colleagues, and easily track the progress of the tasks.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

We have to purchase O365 license which are costly.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking our daily and weekly tasks assigned to our team, we can show the progress to our manager and never miss the important tasks.

  ### 21. "Microsoft plan management tool"

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh S. | Management Trainee, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft planner comes free with a Microsoft business account. It is easy to use. Easily assign a task to your team member.
You can create any planner dashboard based on your requirement. Inside, a dashboard bucket under task is assigned.
When a new task is assigned to a member, he/she will notify by mail message. The task contains detailed info of the issue. Planner auto close task property if the business does not raise any issue within the time frame.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

With a planner, you need to create a task and need to assign a task to the developer. So, manual intervention is there. other than this on dislike

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used a planner for project management and issue tracking purposes.

  ### 22. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wandy Amaury R. | Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I love the easy use of this software to manage team tasks.
You can create new tasks, assign them to a team member, add due dates and comments quickly.
And the best is the integration with the Microsoft ecosystem; every update in Planner has notifications on Outlook and Teams.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

I wouldn't say I like the task doesn't have child or parent tasks like other similar applications.
You can not assign points to a task to use scrum methodologic.
It's no scrum compatible.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

Add child and parents feature.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage working tasks in a non-scrum team since the project wasn't about software development.
Assign tasks to different teams member inside a medium project about software implementation.
Manage support tickets for internal software users.

  ### 23. Good tool, good price. Although with some opportunities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosanna Paberli J. | Business Analyst / Product Owner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Creation of boards. Organization of the agenda, notification to resources when a task is assigned to them. Be able to use tagging for each task according to priority.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

I don't like that you can't configure all the fields used in an agile methodology; they are simple kanban. The tool doesn't allow you to create subtasks for a parent task.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of the workflow. Identify bottlenecks, and be able to take action on this. Manage the task backlog.

  ### 24. Microsoft a simple tool to plan you and your team tasks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan H. | Jr RPA Developer , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft Planner can help you by simply adding cards with the specifications of the tasks that you have pending. You can decide if you want to see them by bucket, list, board, calendar, and it even has charts where you can have detailed information of the number of cards completed, pending, and not assign, distributed by the team.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

It's required to have an Office 365 account to use the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

If you need a tool to track your and your teammates' work without designing a complex logic and already have an Office 365 account, then trying this tool is a good move.
Take into count that it works better on smaller teams with 3 - 8 members.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility of the pending, in progress, and completed tasks from you and the rest of team.

  ### 25. This is the best planning software than ever before

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooks S. | Senior Cyber Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft planner is specialized in making several plans and documents. It is very simple to use. It does not put its users in complexities. It enables its users to schedule their tasks and set alarms for reminding its users about the scheduled tasks and plans. Users are also able to set the tags of their favorite task. It is really flexible. It can be easily operated on a number of devices without trouble-shooting issues. It takes less space and excellent in managing tasks.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

In the lengthy list of pros, it has some cons too. It can only have 20 items in the check list. If a task is assigned to a number of people and you want to address or say something to a particular one then you are not able to do so. It does not have any feature like that. It require some technical knowledge to use.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find its features are really amazing. They all are up to the mark. The developers have designed it to favor its users. It enables me to schedule a number of tasks at a same time. I am grateful to the authorities for providing such convenience.

  ### 26. Lists to share with coworkers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | Landscape Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Planner integrates well with teams and with other Microsoft applications. Dates are easily translated to Outlook as well. Linking it to these other applications is fairly seemless.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Planner is easily forgotten by users who aren't interested in using apps and technology. Being a separate application, it isn't always in their face where its use is easy to become habit.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping a task list that is viewable and editable by others on my team is the primary use of this app.

  ### 27. Great Project Planning and Collaboration Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I love being able to create tasks, subtasks and assign them to multiple users. Along with some simple automation from Microsoft suite, you can ultimately innovate your IT help desk. We stopped using Jira and implemented this because it feeds the tasks and requests directly into our Sharepoint and Microsoft cloud. Additionally, I love that it automatically creates a calendar and graphs; this has helped our director level track productivity and project output.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

There is a learning curve to use all of the capabilities. I would recommend watching the Microsoft How-To videos and reading through their documentation before implementing for a big-scale project.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

I recommend watching the Microsoft How-To videos or even Youtube the most effective ways to use it before implementing. There are a lot of features available for you to track your tasks and your team's tasks like an expert.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Microsoft Planner to solve task management and project planning. We can project the workload each week and even for months ahead by using the tasks feature. Additionally, we understand the team's workload by being able to see how many tasks they're assigned and how far along they got.

  ### 28. The Perfect Planning Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam L. | Senior Architect, Law Enforcement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

The planner tool keeps our teams' tasks in line and on target. We no longer struggle to finish projects when we see the entire roadmap from this tool. It also matches up with Microsoft Project to that we can make adjustments and forecast correctly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

It would be great if this tool were open to regular Office 2019 and above users with consumer accounts instead of requiring an enterprise license, but a great product always needs funding to continue to be great.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deadlines used to be missed entirely or go beyond their allotted time limit, but that no longer happens when tasks are being completed and delegated appropriately.

  ### 29. Microsoft Planner is fine for straight-forward project planning and/or flow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Planner has an easy-to-use interface and integrates well with Teams. I specifically like the Kanban style approach or layout - which is widely used in technology organizations today.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

The interface could be more modern looking or intriguing, and I definitely didn't have a lot of success trying to re-open a closed project. It wasn't very clear how I could go about doing so.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Microsoft Planner for communications planning for our company intranet and company-wide communications (articles, etc.) It has worked well & it has smoothed out the process (from draft to final document to final release) for our organization.

  ### 30. An excellent project planning tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** susanta r. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

The best thing in MS planner is that it integrated with all other Microsoft products in Microsoft 365 suite. We can assign task to the member by creating different group for different team and that can be tracked easily. You will get notified by an email in outlook if any changes has been made to the task assigne to you.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Functionality-wise it's not that much robust as compared to competitors. Desirable features are not there. We cant add photos for reference to the task.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

If you are in Microsoft suite, then it will be easier for you to use MS planner.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have created a basic Kanban board to map tasks to different teams. We are using multiple stages by giving deadlines in each step, and we used to follow those tasks in our Teams channel. It helped us a lot to meet our goal.

  ### 31. Switched from Asana to Microsoft Planner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris V. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

Planner is great for its integration with the other Microsoft Office products, especially SharePoint. I previously used Asana and had little issue moving to Planner, although it did take some getting used to. It's simple and clean, and has many useful features for organizing tasks within each plan, and the overview tab ("My Tasks") is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Because of the "group-based" system, attaching files through Planner is a little cumbersome. I would like a way to change the default upload location for any files that are uploaded through Planner, rather than a) letting said files clutter the Documents library or b) having to upload the file through SharePoint then go back through planner to link to it.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using Planner, we are able to have both a birds-eye view of everything that needs to be accomplished for each project, while still being able to "zoom in" and see all the necessary details all in one place.

  ### 32. A very good way to keep track of your team's tasks and projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eber C. | Director de proyecto, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I've been using Planner for a while, and its implementation in my team was so natural. I love the use of buckets (more less like Trello... but better in my opinion). You can create them and adjust them depending on how is your work style. The labels help you organize your tasks and sort them if you need to. The ability to copy a link to a specific task is convenient. But what I love most is its integration with Teams and Sharepoint. You can add a file stored in your SharePoint to a task or add a plan to a Teams channel. That is wonderful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

I understand that you can use Power Automate to schedule and create tasks automatically. But I think that this capability should be included in Planner itself. On the other hand, I find it a bit tricky the way tasks are showed on Teams. Instead of buckets, "list" is the default view, which makes it confusing if you're used to buckets. And though you change it, it goes back to "list" eventually.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

Just use it if you have an Office 365 account and need to keep track of your team's projects. Notice that if you want to get the full benefit from Planner, you'll need to use Power Automate with it.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are heavy Microsoft Teams users. So Planner was the best way to centralize all tasks and projects. We use Planner, for example, to determine what each team member will do in the creation of a document and then work on it together using SharePoint. Sometimes a task seems too complicated, so we divide it into sub-tasks using the Checklist function.

  ### 33. Best business activity organizer

I can easily organize my day cards, and my manager can keep track of everything and extract reports. Visually it is straightforward to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

limit for creating tags. Apart from this point everything is perfect

the daily organizations, before the planner, nothing was organized

  ### 34. *Project Management Guru*

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I honestly love love love this tool for assigning and managing tasks. This platform allows you to to send requests that include the deadline and details around what the task requested is. You can add in who the request is to, who it is coming from, details on the item, and what overall task it stems from, the overall deliverable or goal. Very seamless collaboration tool. Pricing can be reasonable for this product, with an MSRP around $15.00. Integrates effortlessly with other Office 365 apps. Price shown above includes additional apps from Office 365.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Although this platform is great, to use this platform, you must have Office 365 Business Premium, Business Essentials, or Enterprise account. No ability to use the @ sign that mentions those users to be altered of the message, no filtering tools, no search bar, and no timer tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

Make sure that this integrates with what you have and also that you have Office 365 Business Premium, Business Essentials, or Enterprise account. If not, it will not work.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits that we have experienced are, ability to stay on task, proper documentation of tasks assigned, an email pings or alters that member of the task force team of the task(s) at hand. This keeps the team on task and on schedule really well. Microsoft Planner is a great collaboration tool to maximize engagement on tasks. It supports and manages team efforts, but it lacks many features and functions that competitors offer.

  ### 35. Microsoft Planner - perfect for small-medium scale project collaboration

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

There is nothing that I dislike about this application, even with its limitation. It just serves its intended purpose.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

If you are into project management that do not have so much intricacies and complexities, Microsoft Planner is just right for you.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Planner enables project managers to visually monitor the status of their projects, the people who need to perform certain tasks, and what deadlines to beat.

Microsoft Planner helps me optimize my day and reminds me of anything that I need to complete. It reminds me when I have tasks due and if they are late to getting finished. It makes it easy to collaborate with coworkers. It also shows me upcoming meetings/items I need to complete.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

Microsoft Planner does send me multiple reminder emails; this is a good and bad thing. Sometimes my email gets full, and I delete these emails. I, however do like the reminders for items I need to complete.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a much better planner due to this tool. I have many reminders of things I need to do; it helps me not procrastinate. I know precisely when items need to be completed and what's coming up next.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Planner?**

I appreciate the ability to have multiple boards, with a board for each team of which I am a member. This capability is significant for my role, where I work with the systems design team, as well as the systems development and the users. Also, making it specific to a bucket is fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner?**

I wish there was an obvious way to make tasks repeating. I have several tasks that I do on a weekly or biweekly basis.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Planner:**

Definitely use it in conjunction with Teams so that everything is found in a single app.

**What problems is Microsoft Planner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planner in Microsoft Teams makes an excellent workforce hub in a single app. Putting tasks in each board visible to the entire team helps keep every member aware of the collective progress, and also ensures we know which team member to contact if we run into a particular issue relating to an assigned task.
