It's easy to create a task with the regular fields you'd excpet from a task planner. Due dates, tags, adding colleagues to tasks, uploading documetns, and commenting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Microsoft Planner? It's more advanced features are severely lacking, such as notifications for anyone on a task. For them to get notified via email, they have to comment on the task, which is quite unhelpful when working on important projects with strict deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. It is really nice that Planner can integrate with Teams, Outlook, and certain Microsoft products. The downside is, that if your company controls your planner and permissions, they may not have that enabled, so you may be stuck checking many places for your tasks. For example, in multi-step tasks, you cannot assign interim deadlines. It would also be nice to have tags and more options to attach documents or rich text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Feels like this product was rushed to launch in an effort to keep from losing market to Asana and Trello. More careful thinking and decisions re functions were needed, not just slapping together parts from both tools.
