## Microsoft OneNote Reviews
  ### 1. OneNote as personal catalog resource

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander P. | Frontend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Structured notes that allow to store some data yu make research for in convenient way
three levels of hierarchy (notebook, folder, note)
Search through all the notepad

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Not clear why I sometimes get conflicts - usually conflicts happen when I added something from the mobile version of OneNote.
It is hard to insert something to the note top if there is picture where (I usually leave empty line before inserting picture to be able to insert on top after)

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, it is not a problem I solve - I just use it as a catalog to keep links/texts/quotes for topics I am personally interested in. And it is easy to find them through search later. Kind of pinterest but I like OneNote more for that purpose
Also keep there some minor working notes
And notes for workshops/online courses I passed to be able to refresh them later in mind if needed

  ### 2. Organize your thoughts and notes in a better way.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vipul G. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

> I really like its support on multiple devices and also the fast synchronization.
> You can write your ideas and personal insights and can lock them so no others can see them.
> Or if you are working in a team on some project or if you study in a group you can make a notebook in the one-note and can share it with your peers so they can also view and write there.
> You can use it on any device, I use it on both my PC and mobile.
> You can easily manage all the things by making different sections in a notebook and there's even more to it you can make pages in sections as well.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

> The thing I don't like about it is it provides an almost infinite canvas to write things add pictures to it but it feels overwhelming on mobile phones where you have a small screen.
> It would feel handy if you have a stylus and one more thing if there would be a feature to integrate both OneNote and Microsoft to Do together.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

> You can use it on multiple devices so consider using it on laptops and mobiles for faster sync.
> You need to have an outlook account to use its share notebook feature with your mates.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

> I use it to write down my ideas and some notes from the web.
> I like to learn things on my device so whenever I have to save something from the web or write down some keynotes they were only stored on my laptop and it was hard to get those things when I don't take my laptop along with me but with the easy and fast synchronization of OneNote I can easily view those content from my mobile.
> I also use it to work with my peers we have a shared notebook and we write the common todos and some code samples on it so others can also view it.

  ### 3. Intuitive platform, but the layout is very basic!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paola F. | executiva de contas, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Division of notebooks, customization possibilities, and editing in the same format as other office packages, the ability to draw, record audio/videos, and include attachments and images!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The layout is very basic and simple, it could have a more attractive appearance. Additionally, it could have a workspace view that doesn't take up so much screen space!

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

If you are looking for a platform with various customization possibilities, this one meets your needs! The most important thing is to test it for a while, so you can get an overall view.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform helped me a lot in organizing and personalizing my notes, due to the ease of having everything in a single program. Another benefit is the ability to send notes by email, so I can share them with my colleagues.

  ### 4. Easiest way to take notes and organise it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi C. | Agency Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

One note is one of the easiest way to take notes and organise it in one place. I have been using onenote since five years and everyday it's very useful for me to track small notes for my agency. The best thing I like about onenote it is it is very easy to use in very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The one note app in the Play Store is very buggy and it is very slow when installed in a Android phone. The website version is also very slow there is not nothing particularly I dislike but they should improve their Android app.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest problem is organising all the notes and this is where one note help me everyday to organise all my notes at a particular place. It doesn't take time to write notes it's very easy and very quick to use.

  ### 5. Take notes and more with OneNote

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sagar K. | Business Development Support Executive, Information Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote helps me to keep my data and my client's data organized and ready to use. I like how we can almost add anything to it and use anywhere and anytime.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I have been using OneNote off late and I am loving it. I don't have any complaints. I don't want anything to change.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

I recommend everyone consider using Microsoft OneNote to organize their in-house data.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a freelancer, I have collected contact data of selected companies for a couple of my clients. I can easily add and edit data with OneNote and share the same with my clients for them to use. All my clients have appreciated my way of organizing the data in OneNote.

  ### 6. A great, flexible note taking application, if you are in the O365 ecosystem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike C. | Associate Manager, Instructional Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote, let all other O365 applications, work best when paired with the other tools in the ecosystem. With onenote, your note taking is totally flexible to your preference. There are shortcut keys to enable you to jot a quick note without leaving what you are working on. Collaboration is also a power feature - sharing notes with colleagues and making sure everyone is on the same page!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Coming from evernote and icloud notes, I wish onenote had a preference to have more of a word processor interface. Perhaps its my OCD, but the modular way of adding notes and being able to move them around with like text boxes took a bit of getting used to. I also wish there were more whiteboard esque features for use on ipad with apple pencil. Would love to import my Kanban and agile boards and sketches without having to add them as images.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking collaborative notes that integrate well with my current workflow. I have been able to rely less on my memory and lean in to a note taking methodology.

  ### 7. Simple software for notetaking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine M. | Project manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The most helpful thing about OneNote is that it allows me to organize my notes in a customizable way. The notebook tab function enables me to organize my notes by job function and meeting type. I am able to find and edit my notes quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The only issue I've had with Microsoft OneNote is the syncing feature. I have a more than adequate wifi connection, and One Note still has problems syncing my updates. After this occurs, I usually lose the notes I've typed.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Microsoft OneNote is a great, simple-to-use software for note-taking that I use daily. Please consider it for organized note taking to aid in project management.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote allows me to collect notes over time for different job functions, meetings, and collaborative projects. This time-based function helps remind me of past progress on projects and helps me with project management, ultimately improving deliverables.

  ### 8. My go-to task management application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megha G. | Content Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I am completely dependent on OneNote for keeping a track of my work. Since my job involves working on multiple projects, I use OneNote to create Notebook for each client. It helps me keep everything segregated and trackable.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Since it is a Microsoft application, I feel some of the features do not work on my Mac but apart from that, this application has been my life saviour.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping a track of my work and finish everything within the set deadline. It has enhanced my productivity in the past few months.

  ### 9. Decent simple-to-use note taking app

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Very simple - nothing complex or too fancy. Can click in and print anywhere on a page. Tabs make it easy to organize

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Nothing really to complain about. It does what its intended to do

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic note taking for business

  ### 10. Best tool for notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wandy Amaury R. | Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The most I like it's that you can have multiple notebooks, inside those notebooks can have multiple sections, inside those sections you can have multiple pages and inside of each page you can have all notes well organiced. You can paste information from different sources and it will remain the original format. Also, you can synchronize the OneNote between all your devices including smartphones.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The mobile application is a little slow and the synchronization has a kind of delay.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Improve mobile application.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Store all my important notes well organiced.
Synchronize all my notes between all my devices.
Share some notes with my teamwork.

  ### 11. Great tool for keeping everything in one place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The ability to create pages and notebooks to keep everything organized + it's mobile version. particularly for the iPad, which allows for handwritten notes to be integrated.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I would like some templates for note gatherings to be made available. Similar to Goodnotes. Or at least an integration with Outlook. With all the tools available for Microsoft, it feels more siloed than synergized.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

There's so much to explore on productivity and organizing notes.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Note taking + cloud allows me to work on mobile, on my tablet, on my laptop - whenever i need to take down notes - without the fear of losing my files or losing access to it should my laptop be unavailable.

  ### 12. Useful in both business and personal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine M. | Owner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

At first, I was very overwhelmed by the many features of this program. I was kind of having a panic attack during my training. Truly though, this is a program that you need to just play with for a while, and brainstorm this different ways that you can use it. I have been able to apply it to my work projects, and also create another notebook for quick references of the things I need to remember. I also own a pet sitting business, and have discovered that this is a great way to manage my client base.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Right now I can't get it to link up with the one note app on my work phone, but I think that is more of an issue with my company security policy and not a program issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Take the time to play around with it and figure out an organization system that works well for you.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to be very organized and on track with my goals. The company I worked for didn't exactly have the best system for my to track connections with my customers, nor take notes for project management. One one helps me with this.

  ### 13. Great for collaborative notes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsie D. | Communications and Alumni Relations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote updates in real-time for everyone working on the book, so it's a great tool for a team all taking and sharing notes at once. You can also plot emails, pictures, and other files right in the interface, which is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The organization of tabs across the top is a little confusing, and I find myself just searching for every page I need, which can get tricky if you don't remember what a page is called.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When my whole team is in a meeting, we can all take notes at once and type to each other as we are in the meeting. You can also make certain pages private, which we do for each of our personal one-on-one meetings with our manager.

  ### 14. Not your classic School Notebook

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rogelio V. | Airbnb Host, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Notebook is a relatively easy to use software to take notes, jot down ideas, write a novel, or a list, or just about anything that needs to be written down. One of the features I like the most is the ability you have to set passwords for individual notes within the same notebook. Which allows you to write private content which can only be accessed by knowing the password. I also like the way that the notes are organized. OneNote gives you the ability to create Notebooks with Sections that have Pages in it. The fact that each level of organization is customizable is a really cool feature. You can even write your notes using pictures, or drawings, etc. etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Though it keeps your notes organized and is customizable, OneNote would benefit from a face lift. I like the detailed organization but I can see how the intricate level of organization could be confusing. Also I dislike the way that OneNote displays the levels of organization using a table/column format. It works for some content but not for others.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an Airbnb host and having Microsoft OneNote has allowed me to organize each guest's trip, which in turn has helped me to make each reservation personal by adding small details that come from the conversations/interactions we've had. additionally Microsoft OneNote helps me get my classes organized.

  ### 15. OneNote is better for organised notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote template is excellent, and the best part is the data sync can be done on different devices.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Overall Search is not that good, searching sometimes with keyword doesn’t help and it takes time.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote helps take notes in an organised way; you can create a hierarchy and make notes on one page, its helps in organising the notes in proper sequence and sync between the devices.

  ### 16. Perfect for note taking and windows compatibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CLAUDIO N. | export manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

It's perfect for note taking during meetings and classes, all notes immediately synchronized with the cloud and available on all my devices. You can divide note books granularly and take notes also with the pen if you have a laptop that supports it, it's very useful to communicate concepts that are hard to write, and just with a single stroke

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The option to share the same document and draw or note all team together is a bit useless, because of the delay between the input and the synchronization with the others. For that one google drive and its documents are perfect, but you can't write with the pen

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking notes synchronized with the cloud that I can take wherever I go, well divided and where I can draw with the pen of my laptop

  ### 17. Awesome tool to manage notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad Rashid R. | Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

We can store the notes of text and images as a notebook page. We can create multiple chapters and those chapters can have n number of pages. Using OneNote life became easy to keep short and long notes or useful information.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Sometimes the width of the page goes very long specially we paste any image, there should be an option where we can set the width of the page.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need not to memories soo many things. OneNote makes the things handy for me on mobile and desktop.

  ### 18. Great for organizing notes and reporting data. Could use a more smoother dashboard.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina M. | Mass Merchant Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I enjoy organizing my key accounts in the different notebooks. Accessing other people's shared notebooks has been very helpful as well. It has all my statistics for each of my vendors logged and allows me to maintain recorded history of all the weekly notes has maybe my work structure more organized. Management has even commended my efforts and use of OneNote as far as reporting.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I dislike how confusing the tabs are, and the notebooks are when I am trying to jump between each book. OneNote did an update recently that changed the view of all my notebooks. I am not sure as a user where to fix this to its original view. I prefer the old version better.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to keep a log of each week, month, quarter, and year for all my key accounts. It has helped me have information ready for forecasting to upper management. I have gotten much acknowledgment for my organization in OneNote, and my OneNote structure has provided insight to other colleagues a system for handling their strategic accounts. We have been able to resolve a lot of organizational issues with Onenote.

  ### 19. Good for sharing team's notes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eber C. | Director de proyecto, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Classifying notes using notebooks and sections is very useful. I especially like the way of organizing blocks of information in a sketch-like form in order to be understandable. It's nice how you can keep notebooks for personal use or for every different team. And since it's stored as a file, it can be easily stored on SharePoint or OneDrive. It also works great with the rest of Microsoft 365 products.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Honestly, the way of tagging blocks of information is not easy to use. I've struggled to use tags, so I simply don't anymore. It can also be a bit sluggish to load compared to other services. Navigating on the web version can be unconfortable, especially if you have blocks in all directions. On the other hand, It lacks some sort of organization help. For example, I would like that elements connect somehow when placed close to each other.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

You have to make sure you know what you're your needs are. Mictosoft OneNote is very good for drafts, meeting notes, and a few other situations, but lacks too many features that, in my opinion, are important for an enriched notetaking app. I would also recommend always keeping notes over SharePoint so they are accesible to the whole Team/Department.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team and I use it to work on guidelines drafts together before posting them on SharePoint. Since its part of our Microsoft 365 plan, I use it to write my meeting outlines. It has proven useful to write meeting minutes and sharing them to the whole team. Works nice keeping an archive of those minutes as well. I've liked how fast you can start typing drafts and outlines and keep them safe.

  ### 20. Advanced note-taking application

**Reviewed by:** Harsimranjeet S. | Analyst-IT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

It has many advanced features that helps to store data in an organised way.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Search in OneNote is a bit complicated and has limitations.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessing notes to other devices is possible with OneNote. I can access my notes through mobile too.

  ### 21. One Stop Shop for all your Product Management Related Needs if you are a project/Product Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I especially like OneNote's ability to provide an open canvas where we can write text or paste snippets in the form of png or jpeg images. One can even export them to a PDF file for note sharing.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

What I dislike about OneNote is that it doesn't sync well with the OneNote files in the onedrive/MS 365 version of the OneNote. It makes it harder to open a Onenote document that multiple people can edit simultaneously.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Its a great software of choice for note-taking and information collection canvasing purposes.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually do a lot of meeting minutes as a Product Manager. OneNote makes it extremely easy to paste screenshots while taking organized notes. Moreover, since outlook is the most preferred way of sending emails in the corporate, oneNote copy paste works extremely well since its part of all the same software suite.

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Whenever I have an important document I don't need but don't want to discard, Onenote will store it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

When it gets full, I have to remove potentially important past-used documents.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

If you need to store information for later use, this is a great place to store it. I can't tell you how many times I have come back to find important notes that I needed.

The best thing about it is integrating every device through your Microsoft account. They also recently incorporated a feature to sort your notes alphabetically, which I find very helpful. I love that I can mix, copy, transfer, and share everything; it is incredibly versatile.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It can get a little fidgety and slow. Sometimes it has trouble synchronizing between devices. The format of the paragraphs and everything overall should be easier to use, more intuitive, and have more options.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Have it logged in constantly, and make sure to have everything synchronized if you'll be without internet.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a writer and a singer, so it helps me access everything I wrote or placed there no matter where I am. I don't lose my notes anymore, and I use a lot less paper than before.

It can be shared with anyone within or external people without any problem.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Whoever has used OneNote never hates it. It just got features like sharing, autosave, etc. I can create my daily diary with OneNote.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to note down and everything. I used it for a project meeting and noted down the detailed feedback from my client. Later I can share with anyone.

  ### 27. Great shared space for capturing notes and data

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

As often as I have used OneNote, I have yet to discover something that I don't like or that is missing.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use OneNote for Project Management (tracking work, tasks, and timelines), and I also use OneNote for meetings. The benefit of using OneNote for projects is I can share a workspace with team members and keep everyone abreast to project tasks and deliverables.

  ### 28. Microsoft OneNote - Business Use Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

My favorite feature of OneNote is its ability to co-author notes within pages of the application across multiple users. This has been an incredibly valuable feature in my daily work when I meet with members of my team or different departments of my company - we can all add agenda items, add comments, and make edits to meeting minutes on the same page, and all of those updates appear real-time. OneNote also automatically designates which user has added which notes by highlighting their initials next to their comments, which also brings clarity to documents where multiple users have added content.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It's not always easy to share OneNote pages with a new user to invite them to collaborate on a workbook. I've found that creating a new workbook and sharing it that way can work, but it hasn't always worked 100% of the time. There have been instances where myself or someone else needs to give permission for the user to contribute to the workbook even if I've already invited them to join the notebook.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote primarily allows my team and I to collaborate effectively and efficiently on working sessions and company meetings. Whenever I pull a large group together for collaborative meeting sessions, OneNote allows all attendees to contribute content and notes to the OneNote and provides collaborative documentation of all discussions and next steps after the meeting. I also use OneNote to organize my own personal meeting notes whenever I join work calls and need to remind myself of next steps or to-do's for myself.

  ### 29. OneNote is good...

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kala F. | Technical Support Representative II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like that you can keep everything very organized. I love the search feature so that I can find things quickly and not have to remember where I put them. (Sometimes things have two or more different tags that are needed, so putting it in one notebook and being able to find it quickly is awesome!)

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I don't like that if you change the name of the notebook, it doesn't automatically update, or ask to update, the name of the file on the computer. It can get confusing for customers.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I keep tons of work notes in this program because our e-mail is automatically deleted after a certain amount of time. Sometimes you need that information for longer than it's kept in email, so this is a great way to keep it and have it for the long term.

  ### 30. OneNote update

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe F. | Director of Revenue Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Ability to copy/paste and take notes all over the page for future reference. The tool also allows you to move items around easier than Word and also gives you multiple effects.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Not able to access on my phone/tablet to have full use of the cloud. As I said, I wish this would come across like Trello where regardless of sign in the notes carry over.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

If you are looking for an office product and one that is usually approved by IT this product meets that requirement. The tool still has potential.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documenting information better for training purposes

  ### 31. Better than Expected

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote is great because it allows for freeform note-taking that can be transferred across devices and shared with others. Also, the sticky note feature is useful for desktop and can be edited from the mobile version.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The synchronize feature for OneNote is often behind and regularly fails.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Don't use it if you need regular collaboration, but for storing individual notes and occasionally sharing with others, it is excellent.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can take notes and make logic trees on Microsoft OneNote that I can share and reference as needed.

  ### 32. Easy to use and Intuitive user interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed Anas K. | SAP Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Great design and additional features with Easy to use user interface, which makes it likable. Organizing feature helps in segregating tasks simple and easy to remember.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The customer support could be better, with the name (MICROSOFT) it carries the support is inadequate. Also, it is a heavy app, so if you are using it on a low configuration machine, it could be eating you RAM.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me organize all my daily tasks in one place, which makes it easy to accomplish my daily activities faster. Also, it helps to take notes during meetings and calls for points to remember.

  ### 33. OneNote lets you develop and organize info to share

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote fits perfectly into the Office suite if you're a Windows Microsoft user and especially if your company is Microsoft-centric. You can think of OneNote as a notebook of Word pages assembled into a structure. But it's simpler to create a quick OneNote page since perfect formatting isn't the primary goal. It's also great for quickly creating notes you'll reference later, so you don't need to bother with formatting.

For functionality, its most important strengths are:

* Strong Search features, by words, icons/tags that you can search like a table of contents
* Creating pages is easy, and while you can create a page exactly where you want it, it's not required. You can move them at any time.
* Linking between pages, down to individual paragraphs is strong
* Inserting tables, images, files, links to external documents or URLs

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The product is extremely stable - in both senses of the word.
It's easy to train a new user on OneNote because it just works.
However, OneNote seems like the "red-headed stepchild" of Microsoft Office, so it doesn't get much love from Microsoft. Any enhancements in the (infrequent) new versions are minor features. They haven't added any major features in years.
Contrast that with the latest Notion upgrade, which allows you to add grouping (aka control break) to a database/sheet/table, which is very powerful.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it primarily for taking notes for work I'm actively doing, organizing my ideas, basic software design, open/completed tasks, etc. I introduced it long ago in my IT department for documenting business practices, which we use pretty heavily.

  ### 34. Microsoft one note review

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

A few improvements that would make one note better is it should be easily integrarted with other apps. Also my team should be able to add or edit notes. Connecting it with Microsoft teams also would be very beneficial.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Amazing tool

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One thing I can specify which is a con is the fact that its got an average customer support

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote is a computer program that allows you to keep track of your ideas in a digital notebook. It quickly scans papers and uploads them to OneNote. You can browse through your notes quickly and simply. OneNote notebooks may be shared with anybody. On the plus side, you don't have to store your information because it is saved automatically. You only need a free Microsoft account to use this app. All of your information is kept safe and secure. It may be used on any device.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Some features found in other word processing tools are not available in OneNote.and text formatting possibilities are limited. Also, because the document saves automatically, it's a little more difficult to save several versions of the same document -

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

OneNote is a new tool for me, but I like how simple it is to use and navigate between documents and information. If you're looking for software that does that, go no further.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can provide the read and edit access as per your need. Not everyone can access the document without prior access provided by the owner of the document which makes this application extra ordinary.

  ### 39. Perfect for note making

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shivani b. | Article Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

One note by Microsoft is best for taking up notes; You can also make notes on a PDF. Moreover, it's easy to access it as its cloud-based software. It's straightforward to understand and use for the new. It's pretty easy to track your work, and you can also write with your handwriting. One note is the software of Microsoft is trustworthy and secures information. It also encourages collaborations, making things easy while working in teams. You can also save clippings, attach screenshort, and even audio files.Overall its been a great and morst powerful tool. Its altogether awesome experience using the one note.

Sometimes it's hard to find the notes you have saved, and importing another format of documents into one note is often tricky, as it supports only specific formates.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

If you're looking for a tool for note-taking and organizing your note-taking, then it's the tool to get your hands on.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My most significant benefit from one note is that I take notes when brainstorming, and preparing information architecture is easy—being easy to take down notes at the time of user surveys and consumers feedback. Its been a great part of my work to note down the raw data and resources. I even share these with my team mates, with lot easer.

  ### 40. User-friendly and easy to organize

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandria S. | School Psychologist Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like that it is easy to organize a lot of information in one place. I can keep files for all areas of my work within OneNote, and I can organize them to a very fine degree. I also like that OneNote automatically backs up / saves while I work so that I never loose anything I start, and I don't even have to think about it. You can also share Notebooks with others so that they can also edit and view the same projects.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Some functions that are available in other word processing programs are not available in OneNote. For example, it is hard to make a detailed or well laid-out table, and there are fewer options for formatting text. Also, one downside to the fact that the document automatically saves is that it's a little harder to save multiple versions of the same document - you would have to copy and paste the docment into another part of OneNote.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

I would recommend using Microsoft OneNote! I would recommend using this to organize all of your files. However, if you need to make a complex table, I have seen others recommend you create the table in another program (such as Word) and then copy and paste into OneNote as OneNote doesn't allow very many options for editing tables.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am no longer spending lots of time searching for files. I also don't lose the information I store in OneNote because it backs up automatically as I edit! I am able to collaborate with other Microsoft OneNote users by sharing my notebooks with them.

  ### 41. Microsoft OneNote is a time saving program when in charge of different events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

What I like best about Microsoft One Note is that I can type and save my notes under one program. I am in charge of a lot of projects that require "to-do" flow charts. I can go to One Note to create and save all of my flow charts in one place. Furthermore, I am able to create tables with individual information for upcoming events. This helps me to keep up with who is participating or not in the forthcoming events.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I have not found anything major to dislike about the program. A simple explanation of each feature would be beneficial. Longer tutorial videos would be helpful also. Whoever created this program had in mind all the individuals who needed one place to keep their notes.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

I would recommend Microsoft OneNote to anyone who wants to put basic information, to do lists, flow charts, projects, spreadsheets under one program.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the program of not using Excel, Powerpoint, and Word to create and save my flow charts, to-do list, and business notes. I can use One Note and put all of the information that I need under one program and not three different programs. The benefit that I have realized is that I can email other employees information using OneNote.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather A. | Business Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

One Note has infinite ability, it seems. My best use of it was collecting all the intricate details of a complex job where I wore a lot of hats. The software allowed for easy organization so that I could group responsibilities, etc. I was able to hand my replacement a robust and beautiful collection of everything she needed to know! My favorite thing is that I can start typing anywhere on the page, and then rearrange stuff later. Now if only Word did that...

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Nothing, nothing at all. It's slick, well thought out, and beautiful for those of us who love the organization.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to keep all relevent information together, and rearrange as needed. It's the best little binder I've ever owned! The only thing it's missing is a colorful cover (kidding... it doesn't need that. Honest.).

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas S. | Project Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

It is part of Microsoft's ecosystem, so it works well along other MS softwares, such as: MS Teams and MS Outlook. Hence, the notes are easy to share and convenient for collaborative work.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

You are limited to few options when it comes to editing your text. Also, the "invisible" line that serves as a container for your notes can be troublesome, since one can't see it.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick meeting notes or simple notes are easy to share among teammates. The benefit of having your notes saved on the cloud and in sync with your Microsoft account is the best.

  ### 48. Microsoft OneNote is very convenient for taking notes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Myra H. | Senior Software Development Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I love that Microsoft OneNote is very organized for taking notes. It has folders to keep all notes organized in different groups. It also has excellent integration with Microsoft Outlook meetings. If I want to take notes for a meeting, there is a convenient button to send my meeting to Microsoft OneNote. Then, it automatically generates a note in any desired folder with all meeting information, attendees, time, attachments, description, etc. Microsoft OneNote also has an excellent search tool that makes it easy to search through all my notes and find what I am looking for.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I dislike that Microsoft OneNote's search is not perfect (e.g. it's not as powerful as a Google search). I also dislike that Microsoft OneNote can share your personal notes/folders with others on accident (it generates a link that others can access) which is problematic if you want to keep your notes private.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

I would recommend using Microsoft OneNote for all notes, especially for business purposes. I would recommend creating different folders to categorize your notes in an organized way. I would also recommend taking advantage of the seamless integration between Microsoft OneNote and Microsoft Outlook. I would also recommend using Microsoft OneNote for convenient storage in the cloud. It is excellent that you can use Microsoft OneNote on any device, and it also has a handy mobile app to make it easier to access. The search feature is also very useful to quickly find past notes that may have important information that you would like to refer back to.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we are solving with Microsoft OneNote are to take notes that are easy to refer back to. All notes are stored in the cloud which makes it very easy to access from any device. I also use the Microsoft OneNote mobile app that I can refer to during presentations/meetings instead of having it open on my laptop while sharing my screen. Microsoft OneNote is super easy to use keeps everything very organized. It has powerful features for sorting, searching, etc. too.

  ### 49. One of the best apps for NOTE taking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerome T. | Research Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote is an excellent application. It has replaced my to-do list and helps me keep track of my projects. It syncs with all of my devices without a hitch.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It has a history of issues with Android devices of mine. Also, keep in mind that the cloud is relatively small if you decide to use it for large projects.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it whenever I can, gathering all of my notes in one place and accessing it whenever I want with any device I own. This will be useful if you work remotely or move around a lot at work.

  ### 50. If you have OFFICE 365, give OneNote a shot

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aravind R. | Lead Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

-Floating text boxes with checkboxes
-Rearrange text boxes with ease
-Drag and drop excel files, word files etc;
-Insert live table from excel that updates after edits
-Embed notebook with in MS teams channels as a tab

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

When sharing with others the whole process of opening the shared notebook is clunky and involves navigating to a menu to find it. A better option would be for the notebook to show as soon as it's shared and a notification from the program that it is available to open.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replaced writing down reminders, project progress info, deliverable dates on a notepad.
By using multiple sections, pages, note taking is now streamlined. This information is handily available on any computer so pulling up information on a project is very easy in a meeting.
