After using OneDriver for years, what I like most is how easy it makes file access and overall collaboration across teams. It’s convenient to securely store, share, and work on documents from anywhere, especially when working remotely. I really like the peace of mind that Microsoft OneDrive for Business provides. It's super simple to manage files as long as they're not code-related, which is important because large files, like videos, go into OneDrive without any issues. OneDrive handles even large file formats effortlessly, which was a relief when I was working on a lot of videos and imagery for the company. It's great that everything runs in the background; I don't have to actively manage syncing—it's automatic and reliable. Additionally, the integration with Microsoft Teams is very smooth. Well, in my experience, anything that has to do with repos and code it has to annoyingly be zipped up because if you leave a repo unzipped, then Microsoft OneDrive for Business just goes crazy with trying to copy all the individual files in that repo. I've had that happen before, and I found it at the wrong time when we were in the middle of transitioning our laptops and we only had a couple days left. It was extremely painful finding, oh, I've just bunged up my whole OneDrive by adding a repo. Now it's gonna take a crazy amount of time because of the sheer number of files. And just the fact that it's a repo itself seems to confuse OneDrive and make things difficult for uploading. So yeah, don't do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I like how easy and customer-friendly Microsoft OneDrive for Business is. It's pretty easy to navigate through, and I also like that you can access any work you've ever worked on, whether for business or personal use. As long as you have access to your OneDrive, it's convenient to access your files. It's a great tool for cloud storage because you can put as many files on there as you want without worrying about storage size. It's also very easy to utilize, especially when you're traveling or working on multiple projects, allowing you to pick up where you left off easily. What I like about Microsoft OneDrive for Business is the ease of storing and accessing files from anywhere. I don't need to carry a flash drive or hard drive because all files are stored in the cloud and can be accessed via laptop or smartphone. I also like the file sharing feature which is very easy. I just need to send the file link to colleagues without having to send the file repeatedly. Additionally, I can control who can view or edit the file, making it more secure and controlled. Another thing I like is the version history feature, where I can view and restore previous versions of a file if a mistake occurs while editing a document. This feature is very helpful, especially when working in a team. In terms of security, I feel safer because the data is stored on Microsoft's servers and not just on one device. Things That Are Less Optimal About Microsoft OneDrive for Business: Dependence on the Internet. If the network is slow or unstable, the upload, download, and synchronization processes become slow or even fail. Synchronization sometimes has issues, such as slow updates, errors (files not updated), and version conflicts when many people edit simultaneously. Storage is limited depending on the plan used, so if there are many files, the capacity quickly fills up. Navigation and file management feel less practical if there are already a lot of files and the folders are too deep, making it time-consuming to find certain files. Uploading large files takes quite a long time, especially if the internet is unstable. Integration is sometimes not perfect; files do not immediately sync with other applications or require manual refresh. OneDrive for Business integrates very well with Microsoft 365 applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
