**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

OneDrive for Business integrates well with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem that we heavily use, making it convenient to store, access, and share files across Teams, Outlook, and other apps. File syncing and version history are easy to access, and the storage space offered is generous for our business needs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

The user interface feels outdated compared to platforms like Google Drive. Navigating files can feel clunky, and switching between personal and business accounts is unnecessarily complicated. Microsoft could really improve the overall experience by improving account management.

It helps centralize and back up all business files in a secure cloud environment. This ensures that team members can share and collaborate easily, access files remotely, and maintain version control. It has boosted productivity and reduced the risk of data loss.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naman B. | Technical officer - Biostatistics and Programming , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

Microsoft OneDrive for Business offers a modern solution to storage and accessibility challenges. With OneDrive, I can access my official data across any Microsoft 365 app at any time, and I feel confident that my data is always secure. OneDrive for Business is an ideal choice for data storage and access, especially in today’s fast-paced and demanding industries.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

There are times when I'm not connected to the internet and I can't access my data, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the character limit for path and file names can be quite annoying at times.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onedrive helps me manage multiple tasks from any location and with anyone, making it easier to save time and boost my productivity.

  ### 6. Easy to Use and Integrated with Microsoft 365

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Facilities Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

There are many good things about OneDrive, but one feature I find really useful is when sending emails with large files. Instead of attaching them directly, I can just upload them to OneDrive, copy the link, and share it. Another thing I like is the option to share folders and use them as a common space for teamwork, which makes collaboration much easier.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

Sometimes OneDrive for Business can be slow to sync, especially with large files or many small changes. Occasionally, the sync status doesn’t update properly, which can cause confusion. Another issue is that file path and name length limits can still cause upload problems. These are not major blockers, but they can be frustrating at times.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneDrive for Business solves the problem of securely storing and sharing large files without worrying about email attachment limits. In our team, we frequently work with large project documents, videos, and reports. Instead of sending these directly, we store them in OneDrive and share links, which speeds up delivery and keeps everything organized. It also solves version control issues because multiple team members can work on the same document in real-time through Office apps. Another major benefit is accessibility — with all files in the cloud, I can securely access project data from any device, which makes remote work and collaboration much easier.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sundaravalli A. | AI software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

What I like best about onedrive for business is how smoothly it works with the rest of the microsoft 365 tools. sharing files, collaborating in real time and keeping track of changes is super easy across Teams, Outlook and Office apps. I also love that my files automatically sync across all my devices so i always have the latest version whether i'm on my laptop, phone or using a browser. And knowing that it has strong security and compliance features gives me confidence when dealing with sensitive business information

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

One drive for business is a solid tool, but there are a few areas where it could be better. Sometimes syncing can be reliable especially with large files or complex folder setups which can lead to version conflicts or confusion. the way file sharing permissions work isn't always intuitive either, so it's easy to accidentally give too much or too little access. The web interface while functional tends to feel a bit sluggish compared to the desktop app. And for admins, managing storage quotas and tracking usage can be more complicated than it needs to be.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onedrive for business has really helped me solve some common challenges around file storage, access and collaboration. It eliminated the need for local file servers by offering secure cloud-based storage that i can access from anywhere which has been a huge plus for remote and hybrid work. It also takes the headache out of version control by automatically saving and syncing updates across devices and users so there is less confusion and fewer mistakes. The integration with microsoft 365 apps makes real-time co-authoring and sharing seamless, which has definitely boosted team productivity and cut down on email clutter. Overall, it's made my work more efficient, secure and collaborative.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajani D. | Test Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

1.Integration with the Microsoft is consistently cited as a top advantage , Because OneDrive for Business is part of the Microsoft , it works seamlessly with other tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. This allows for real-time co-authoring of documents, easy file sharing directly from within applications, and a unified workflow.

2.OneDrive makes it easy for teams to work together.

3.Allows multiple people to edit the same document at once.

4.Users can also set permissions and expiration dates on shared links, ensuring secure collaboration with both internal and external partners.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

1.When a user is syncing a very large number of files then the sync process will be slow down . This is particularly noticeable when a user is working with large files or deeply nested folder structures.

2.For new users, especially those not deeply embedded in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, the distinction between OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and Teams can be confusing. Users may not know whether to save a personal file in OneDrive or a collaborative document in a SharePoint-backed Team.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1.Before cloud storage, a business's files were scattered across different places: on individual hard drives, on local network servers, and in email attachments. This created a "data silo" problem where a file's location was often unknown, leading to lost time, duplicated work, and a single point of failure if a user's hard drive failed.

2. OneDrive provides a single, secure location in the cloud for all work-related files. This means an employee's important documents are no longer trapped on their local machine.

3. Can access our files from anywhere, on any device (computer, tablet, phone) with an internet connection.

  ### 29. Review of Microsoft OneDrive for Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishant K. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

The best part about OneDrive for Business is the seamless integration with Office apps. Editing and sharing documents in real time without needing to download them is a huge time saver.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

What I dislike is that it feels too dependent on the Microsoft ecosystem. If a client or partner is using another platform, sharing and collaboration can be a bit tricky.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneDrive for Business is solving the problem of file collaboration and central storage. Instead of emailing attachments back and forth, my team can work on the same document at the same time, which reduces errors and saves time. It also keeps all files in one place, easy to access from any device, which helps me stay organized and productive.

  ### 32. OneDrive for Business: Strong Integration, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica D. | Web API Developer, Gambling & Casinos, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

If you're already using Microsoft 365, OneDrive for Business is kind of a no-brainer. It works really well with Word, Excel, Teams—you name it. You can open a doc, edit with your team in real-time, and never worry about hitting “Save” again.

Need to share files? Easy. You get full control over who sees what, for how long, and whether they can mess with it or just look. Plus, you can access your stuff from anywhere, even offline—great for travel or spotty Wi-Fi.

Another plus: it quietly backs up your desktop and documents, so even if your laptop dies, your files don’t. Version history and the ability to recover deleted stuff also save the day more often than you’d think.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

Syncing isn't always perfect—especially on Mac. Sometimes it feels like OneDrive gets a little too smart trying to guess what you want to keep local vs. in the cloud. Admin tools are powerful but not always intuitive, and onboarding less tech-savvy teammates can take some hand-holding.

Great if you live in the Microsoft ecosystem. Solid features, strong security, and easy collaboration. Just expect a learning curve—and the occasional sync hiccup.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneDrive kills the old “final_final_v2_REALLYfinal” file drama. Everyone works off the same doc in real time, so no more version mix-ups or emailing attachments back and forth. Total game-changer for teams. It saves time, prevents mistakes, and gives peace of mind. You spend less time hunting files or worrying about backups, and more time just getting your actual work done. Clover’s cloud-based setup means you can check in on your business from your phone, at home, or halfway across town. Whether it’s a slow day or a sales spike, you’ll know what’s going on without being there 24/7.

Like most systems of this type the file sync can some cause issues when a single file is accessed by multiple people. It's not clear what the issues are from the error messages.

  ### 40. My review of Microsoft OneDrive for Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

As a Procurement Analyst, working in a dynamic and data-driven environment, I have had extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft OneDrive for Business as part of our broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

OneDrive has proven to be a reliable and secure cloud storage solution that significantly enhances collaboration, document management, and workflow efficiency across cross-functional teams.

OneDrive offers generous storage limits and scales well with organizational growth. As our procurement operations expanded, we were able to onboard new team members and vendors without worrying about storage constraints or performance issues.

With up to 5TB of space available, it significantly reduces the need to use our local drive, helping us save valuable disk space.

We can conveniently store all our files and call recordings in one place, making them accessible from anywhere—eliminating the need for physical storage.

Locating files is simple thanks to intuitive categorization by Media, Meeting, and People names.

If a recording is scheduled for deletion after its default retention period, you’ll receive a notification and can easily restore it from the recycle bin before it’s permanently removed.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

There is nothing I particularly dislike about it. However, with the integration of AI, there’s an opportunity to enhance the way files and recordings are organized—making the process more efficient and less manual.

Occasionally, the desktop sync client experiences delays or conflicts, especially when handling large Excel files with macros or linked data sources.

While the interface is intuitive, some advanced features (like shared libraries or conditional access policies) require user training to be fully leveraged.

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s been incredibly useful for recording and storing the majority of my meetings. The built-in transcription feature helps me generate notes efficiently, and it allows flexible access permissions—such as view or edit—for different users. Additionally, it serves as a central hub for all my official files, enabling real-time collaboration and eliminating the issue of multiple file versions that often arise with offline edits.

Given the sensitivity of procurement data—such as vendor pricing, contract terms, and compliance documentation—OneDrive’s granular access controls and enterprise-grade security features (including data encryption and DLP policies) have been critical in maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

With hybrid work becoming the norm, OneDrive’s mobile and web accessibility has enabled our team to stay productive regardless of location. Whether reviewing supplier performance dashboards or accessing archived POs during supplier negotiations, the ability to retrieve documents on the go has been a game-changer.

The version history feature has been particularly useful in procurement scenarios where audit trails are essential. Being able to revert to previous versions of supplier contracts or budget spreadsheets has saved considerable time and reduced risk.

  ### 45. Saving My Life One Autosave at a Time(Mostly)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

It just makes everything easier. Like, I can just share files with my team or anyone and we can all work on the same doc at once, and it saves by itself, which is super handy when we forget to accidentally save files or laptop shut down. I can get to my files from anywhere too, like on my phone or laptop. And if I mess something up, I can just go back to how it was before. It just keeps things more organized and makes working with others way less of a hassle.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

One thing I don’t like about it is that sometimes it acts up with syncing like files take forever to upload or don’t show up right away on other devices. And it can get a bit messy when there’s two versions of the same file, or if there’s a conflict. It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does, it’s kinda frustrating. Other than that, it’s alright.Saving My Life One Autosave at a Time

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, it just saves me the hassle. I don’t have to keep sending files around, and I can get to my stuff wherever i am and also we can share link of our files so that we can work on it together so that makes things way easier when I’m working with other people.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

Included with 365 E5 licenses. Integration with native macOS finder without extension/permissions prompts/etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneDrive for Business?**

Managing cloud only vs on device files is often confusing for end users. Finder integration occasionally requires restarts for service integration (native sharing etc.)

**What problems is Microsoft OneDrive for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneDrive replaces Google Drive for our user cloud document storage. The native finder integration and options for on device storage allows users with smaller machines to have access to individual shares as well as integrated Sharepoint access without using the browser.
