"Empowers with Interactive Dashboards, Minor Integration Lag"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

I love using Microsoft Power BI for its interactive dashboards, which help me track my business performance and enhance my decision-making abilities. The automation of my reporting strategies is a huge plus. DAX, or Data Analysis Expressions, is extremely useful for custom calculations and makes complex tasks like measuring year-over-year growth easier. I appreciate the automatic sync feature as it saves me from having to manually update files all the time, it’s efficient to just refresh and see all the updates. The initial setup was very straightforward, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

It gets slower sometimes when I'm working in the integration of multiple datasets. Connecting multiple data sources is difficult if the formats of both have a lot of discrepancies, and it also slows down the reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really great; I’d love to see it implemented more in my workplace."
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

One of the best things about Power BI is how intuitive it is. Even without formal training, I was able to start building dashboards right away. Creating charts is incredibly easy, and the final result looks very professional and visually appealing. It’s a great tool for presenting data to stakeholders who value clarity and design. What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

The Login Process: Accessing the user account involves too many steps, which can be frustrating.

Limited Presentation Mode: It’s disappointing that the presentation mode is only available on the web version. Because of this, I usually end up sharing my reports in PDF format when sending them to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Power BI from an Analyst’s Perspective: The Good, the Bad, and the DAX"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

One of the greatest strengths of Power BI is its seamless integration into the Microsoft ecosystem. For an analyst already working within Azure, SQL Server, or even just Excel, the connectivity is unmatched. It’s not just about moving data; it’s about the familiarity of the interface and the ease with which you can publish reports to Teams or SharePoint. Furthermore, the breadth of visualizations—both native and community-created—allows me to tell a compelling story that resonates with stakeholders, regardless of their technical literacy.

The true magic, however, happens when you have a well-constructed semantic model. When the backend logic is solid, the "drag-and-drop" simplicity of the front end is incredible. It empowers business users to perform their own ad-hoc analysis and build their own reports on top of the data model I’ve created. This self-service capability is a win-win: users get their answers faster, and I can focus on deep-dive analytics rather than tweaking minor chart formatting for every request. What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

The biggest “trap” for beginners is definitely DAX. At first glance, it looks just like Excel formulas, which is really misleading. In reality, it’s a completely different animal. The underlying logic is fairly complex, and it’s very easy for a newcomer to get overwhelmed—or, even worse, to calculate something incorrectly because they didn’t understand the formula’s “context.” It’s a steep hill to climb before you start feeling confident with it. "Transforms Data with Seamless MS Integration"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

I like Microsoft Power BI for its wide range of data source integrations. It easily connects to databases, APIs, and files, allowing me to use my data quickly without extra setup. Power Query is also a feature I appreciate, as it helps me clean and prepare data simply. Its integration with Microsoft services like Azure, Excel, and Teams enhances my experience, making sharing and collaboration with others very easy. The initial setup was easy, I'd rate it an 8 out of 10. Overall, I would strongly recommend it, giving it a rating of 9 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

It's slow sometimes when the data model is not optimized, and also DAX is hard and confusing. For speed, Power BI gets slow with big data, so it would be nice if it gave better auto tips to fix performance issues. For DAX, it's kinda confusing at first, so clearer errors and better built-in help would make it way easier to learn and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Power BI Makes Real-Time Dashboards Easy with Seamless Excel & Cloud Integration"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

Microsoft Power BI is easy to implement with strong integration across Excel, SQL, and cloud services, making it highly usable for daily reporting. It offers powerful visualization and DAX features, reliable Microsoft customer support, and is frequently used due to its automation, refresh scheduling, and scalability for both small teams and enterprises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

Power BI has some limitations when it comes to working with very large datasets, where performance can become an issue, and it also requires Power BI Pro to share reports. I’ve found that advanced DAX calculations come with a steep learning curve, and overall customization feels less flexible than with some open-source BI tools. "Turns Raw Data into Interactive Dashboards Fast with Seamless Microsoft Integration"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

What I like most is its ability to quickly turn raw data into clear, interactive dashboards. It integrates smoothly with multiple data sources, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem, and it supports real-time data refresh and easy sharing. The range of visualization options, along with strong drill-down capabilities, makes it straightforward to analyze trends and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

The biggest drawback of Power BI, in my experience, is the learning curve around DAX and more complex data modeling, which can be tough for beginners to pick up. Performance can also slow down when working with very large datasets, and some of the more advanced features require a paid license. If performance optimization were improved and the pricing were simpler, it would feel even more user-friendly overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Power BI Turns Complex Data into Clear, Shareable Dashboards"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

Power BI makes it easy to turn complex data into clear, interactive dashboards that support better decision-making. With seamless integration with Excel and other Microsoft tools, a wide range of data connectors, and AI-powered insights, teams can quickly uncover trends and share reports securely across the organization.

Using Power BI makes working with data feel less like a chore and more like storytelling. I can pull in numbers from different sources, build dashboards in minutes, and clearly see patterns that help me make smarter choices. What I like most is how simple it is to share those insights with the team—everyone stays aligned without needing to be a data expert. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

Microsoft Power BI is a powerful tool, but it does come with a few drawbacks. For beginners, the learning curve can feel steep, particularly when you start working with data modeling and DAX formulas. Performance may also slow down with very large datasets, so you often need to put in extra effort to optimize reports and keep them responsive. Licensing is another pain point: it can be confusing to navigate, and many advanced features are locked behind premium plans that increase overall costs. And while it integrates very well with Microsoft tools, using it with non-Microsoft platforms frequently requires additional connectors or third-party solutions. Overall, it’s a strong product, but these limitations can make adoption and scaling more difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Data Integration and Automation"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

I really like the integration of sources and data modeling features in Microsoft Power BI, which make it easy to use different sources like SAP and Microsoft OneDrive in one place. I also appreciate that I don't have to fetch, merge, and model data manually from different sources anymore. The initial setup was very easy, with no issues, just downloaded from the MS Store. Everything looks good for me as most of the reports are customizable and can easily be shared via Power BI Service. I gave it a 10 for how likely I am to recommend it to a friend or colleague. "Powerful Visuals, Easy Integration but Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

I use Microsoft Power BI to turn raw data into easy-to-understand dashboards and reports, which helps me track performance, spot trends, and make better decisions using real-time insights from different data sources. I appreciate how it makes sense of large and scattered data by bringing everything into a clear, visual dashboard, saving time on manual reporting and simplifying the understanding of trends and performance. I like that it's easy to create interactive dashboards even without deep technical skills. The connectivity is great too, as it integrates smoothly with many data sources like Excel, SQL, and cloud platforms, making data refresh and analysis simple and fast. These features save me a lot of time because I can quickly connect to different data sources and build dashboards without complex setup. The interactive visuals make it easy to explore data, spot issues, and share clear insights with others. The initial setup was also quite easy and straightforward, allowing me to connect to my data sources and start creating reports without much difficulty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

One thing that could be improved is the learning curve for advanced features, as some functions and DAX formulas can feel complex for beginners. Also, performance can sometimes slow down with very large datasets or complex reports. It would be helpful if Power BI had more guided tutorials and simpler explanations for advanced features like DAX. Better performance optimization for large datasets would also make the overall experience smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
