**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Microsoft Forms are used in our company to send organization wide surveys and gather responses. The best thing about MS forms is that it is easy to use and customise. The questions can have splits into them - i.e. based on the responses of the user, the questions to be shown to them can be decided. Also, since this is a part of the MS suite of products, we at an Org level need not go for another third party tool for survey pusposes. Also, gathering responses in an Excel format makes it easy to collect the data and analyze, in addition to the basic analysis that the Form offers.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

Nothing to disklike in the software, in particular, as it is easy to use and understand both for the survey maker and the survey user. Some improvements can be made to the UI and sharing mechanisms of the survey. Also, if auto reminders can be sent by MS Forms to participants who haven't filled out the survey till date but are on the sharing list, that would be a great feature too.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using MS Forms to build online Forms and carry out an Org Wide Survey where upto 5000 employees answer it and give their responses. We do surveys with multiple choice questions where single or multiple answers can be selected ; text-based questions and number based questions. All these inputs can be obtained in the MS form and can be analysed. Also, since we use it within the organisation, we have a function to directly capture the name and email address of the Employee who is filling the survey and this helps in better audit and mangement of the surveys.

We are using forms internally for Employee decisions. We have used it to take a poll on whether our staff is likely to get vaccinated, we've done polls on fun things like department lunches. ### 35. Microsoft Forms Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

I like that Forms is well integrated into the MS Ecosystem and is being used as a service component to other products like Teams and Excel. I also like the multi-lingual model of the form builder.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

For us, it is missing three really big features:

* Strong layout control
* Robust conditional logic
* The ability to reference/utilize external data sources

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We find it most useful for quick, linear surveys for internal data collection.

 ### 36. Easy to make forms for less complexity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

I like that MF is very easy to use. It has a good interface , some good themes and templates to use from. And there is also an option for easy branching, which is good for simple forms.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

It is not really good wherein we need to apply conditions like 'show this question if this option is selected' . If there are complex surveys which needs a lot of conditions, it can't work.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through MF you can make the survey in as fast as 5 min. If it's an easy survey it can be made in a less time and it also has feature of template and themes which are really good and beautiful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Forms is really simple to use, has a much-improved user interface and great "pre-built" question and response types to make the creation process quick and bias-free.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

There are some quirks about where you set up the form and the impact that has about which system you can route the data to, for example, there's a special process you need to use to integrate with Microsoft Power BI.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forms helps us gather information from individuals about how things are going (measuring the current state) and where they would like to see things change (plan for the future).

 ### 39. Best Free alternative after google form

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shovon K. | Business Analyst & Sales Force Automation Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Now Microsoft form is way better than before, and with the organizational subscription, it works best.
I use this very frequently to collect data and feedback. Also, use it for complaint registration.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

Noting to dislike but expect some designs.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I collect data with it for free and with unlimited capacity.

 ### 40. Easy Marketing and Communication + Inhouse intelligence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin J. | Business Consultant and Sales Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Microsoft Forms has created an easy way for us to update in-house forms and documents. But the best feature has been being able to create surveys and forms to keep in touch with our customers and welcome feedback from them easily and effortlessly as well as update customer information.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

Forms is simple and easy and there is nothing not to like. It works well and one of the features I like when creating a survey or form, for example, is that lets the clients know how much time it will take to complete the form or survey. Which I believe creates more incentive for the clients to do so.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better Systems and Customer Communication, as well as in house operation has been increased with quality and efficiency. And this in turn has increased business performance.

 ### 41. Advanced way to collect and use data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald L. | 2D Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Microsoft Forms provide a great application that can help in collecting and managing data, it provides a great system to present the data as well in a dashboard format which is very useful while fetching any specific kind of data.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

Forms provides a unique approach towards data collection and management and since everyone is used to using something else we find forms a bit odd and thus a little hard to use and setup

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Forms has made it very easy for us to collect data from indiciduals specially through quick surveys. It has also helped us in creating small quizs through which we are able to colect preferences of a particular person and then use this to provide better support and features.

 ### 42. Easy to use interface...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle S. | MTSS Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

I like the easy-to-use interface once you get the hang of it. It doesn't take much. Currently I work in a Google Workspace environment, and so comparatively, it's superior. I like the branching aspects especially, customization of submission message, ability to apply themes and uploading capabilities. It's great! It worked well in my classroom and position as a club advisor (intricate voting ballots during remote learning).

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

While I ike the branching aspects especially, it could get confusing at times. I am not sure how to better organize that system, but I remember thinking it was a bit overwhelming at times. Also, I would love the integration of uploading and MS OneNote.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned before, this was a lifesaver when it came to schoolwide voting of class candidates, but this is really a special case. Otherwise, I love how it can support easy grading both automated for MC and short-responses.

 ### 43. Easy form creator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yousef L. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

You can use Microsoft Forms for creating standard forms or simple surveys or quizzes.
It's easy to make and use, and it does not require any technical experience.
It gives you a wide range of form components with nested conditions.
You can separate your form into pages to make it more comfortable for the users.
You can integrate forms with databases you have through power apps.
Easy to view form's result or to generate excel sheets.
Easy to share your form with external users, but if you have questions with attachements, users will be asked for office365 to log in and fill the form.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

Users will be asked for office365 to log in and fill the form if the form requires attachments, limiting anonymous users.
I am looking for more complexity with the matrix questions.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting information directly into ready excel sheets.

 ### 44. Forms is a great way to poll your team or generate quizzes for on-boarding new employees

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Forms is a simple and easy way to create quizzes, polls, or other questionnaires that you can distribute internally and see the database of answers and scores. The user interface is very simple to understand and implement. You can even add pictures to your forms.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

Forms had some security issues when we implemented it at my company. After creating a very long quiz, an error was displayed that I was unable to resolve internally with my IT team and I was not able to share the form with others.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Forms:**

Forms is a great way to poll your coworkers or create quizzes for knowledge retention or assessment.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using forms to quiz new hires during the onboarding process about information and skills they learned during the previous week. We reinforce the knowledge and can review the answers together simply.

 ### 45. Poor Analytics Capabilities

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Traci C. | Associate Creative Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Microsoft Forms is what my company allows us to use for company-wide surveys.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

The survey design is not very customizeable. But the worst thing is what happens after you get the data. It drives me crazy that if someone selects "Other" and writes in a response, then you can't easily find and read all the "Other" responses. You have to search through the spreadsheet to see if anyone wrote something in just by eyeballing if it's different from the standard responses. Also I just wish all of the analytics were a lot smarter--tell me what I need to know.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Surveying colleagues on their opinions on the environment. We got a lot of responses.

 ### 46. Great platform for creating polls!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjay T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Microsoft forms is an easy to use, simple interface that allows you to create polls and quizzes. One can create questionaires and check the scores and answers easily. It has a great way of presenting answers in the forms of charts.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

It has some security issues and the survey design is not customizable. There is not much that I dislike about Microsoft forms. It is an easy to use app with all the basic features.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Forms:**

Highly recommended app for creating forms and surveys.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has now been easier to create small polls and questionaires to know the opinion of clients and their interests. The colourful templates add up to the design of the questionaires very well.

 ### 47. Microsoft Forms New User

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

I like that you can branch questions using Microsoft Forms. I previously used Google Forms for all of my classroom and work-related surveys, but after using Microsoft Forms, I see that it has this advantage. I also like how the responses are presented in word clouds and charts.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

I don't particularly appreciate that it takes time to learn how to branch questions. I wish there were a tutorial, or it was more accessible.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Forms:**

It takes patience to get used to the platform. The time invested in setting up a survey is worth it after seeing how well the program organizes responses.

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Forms to survey a population about a shared academic experience. I am learning that the responses are organized in an accessible way, and the graphs and word clouds generated through Microsoft can be used for presentations in the future. In reviewing responses, I like how you can hover over "more details" and "insights" to see information related to the survey responses.

 ### 48. Review Microsoft forms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allen O. | Data Analytics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

The ability, ease and flexibility to construct form , manage and share it , is definitely an advantage

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

There is some form of rigidity with the options which I can't just get around

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Forms:**

Microsoft forms is of great benefit in obtaining, managing survey related data. It can also be integrated with other Microsoft office tools

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to extract and manage data from surveys is definitely a benefit

 ### 49. It has limited features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zikhona Siziphiwe D. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Forms?**

Well, I like that it comes with the Microsoft 365 package, so no extra payments, also, it's easy to use and it's great for our short organizational surveys or polls

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Forms?**

The downside of Microsoft Forms is that it doesn't allow for a lot of customization, if so, it's not as simple as type form, it does not make the user's experience interacting with it that great

**What problems is Microsoft Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I said earlier, the benefits would be that we don't have to pay extra.

We use it for internal polls for votes of either awards or elections of some sort.

We are using Microsoft Forms for survey and also submitting daily updates for any task or project for standup meeting.
