What do you like best about Microsoft Excel?

I have used Microsoft Excel for quite some time. A handy tool. What I like the most about Excel is how versatile it is. Whether used for creating complex recipe formulas or tracking budgeted sales versus actual sales, it can easily be tailored to virtually any situation and accommodate both beginners and experienced users. Additionally, its open tabs at the bottom make accessing multiple spreadsheets simultaneously a breeze. Moreover, with features such as copy-and-paste capabilities from other documents and simple printing options, getting data into Excel quickly and efficiently is second nature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Excel?

Microsoft Excel can sometimes be difficult to use due to the lack of detailed instructions and tutorials for some of its features. More transparent explanations would help me better understand this program's full capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Excel?

What problems is Microsoft Excel solving and how is that benefiting you?

I typically use Microsoft Excel to generate bulk posters for campaigns or projects through Canva. The process involves creating a spreadsheet (CSV file) with multiple variations of the poster content, where each row contains a unique message, headline, or other text elements for the posters. After preparing this CSV file, I upload it to Canva’s bulk creation feature, which automates the process of generating numerous posters at once. Canva automatically inserts the unique messages into pre-designed poster templates, creating a set of posters, each with different content but a consistent design.

This approach saves time and ensures consistency across a large number of posters, making it ideal for producing visuals for events, marketing campaigns, or educational materials. By using Excel for the initial data entry and Canva for the design, I can efficiently manage large-scale poster production with personalized or varied messaging. What do you like best about Microsoft Excel?

Microsoft excel has been a crucial tool for me for many years now. It helps me handling out complex tasks with speed and efficiency. Its user friendly interface and range of functions help in carrying out most challenging tasks very easily.

One of its remarkable development is MS Excel's integration with One Drive and Share point. This has significantly improved the way our department works with important documents especially for invoicing and marketing data management. For example, both the marketing and accounting teams can now access and update shared files at the same time, making sure that the information is always up to date and accessible. This has made our data management process significantly faster, smoother, and more efficient than ever before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Excel?

I dislike it when working with Large sheets, sometimes the system crashes or slows down. Also, it some times takes time for some team member to get used to use Share point and one drive effectively and managing permissions as to who can edit and who can only access can sometimes be tricky. Any mistake can lead to data issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Excel solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft Excel has streamlined my daily tasks and allowed me to complete various tasks in minutes what would have taken hours manually. For instance, using Pivot tables and VLOOKUP, I can quickly create detailed sales and performance reports that provide management with all the required information needed for decision making.

Also, with its integration with OneDrive and SharePoint has allowed all team members to collaborate on files in real time. This has eliminate the need to emailing files back and forth which has significantly reduced delays and making sure that everyone has immediate access to current data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Excel?

It helps us create a dataset which's technically a spreadsheet. It is one of the most easiest tools we can use to create complex spreadsheets. It's grid structure, formulas, query functions, various functionalities like Pivot charts and tables, graphs, etc are really top notch and important features that really reduces the manual intervention. Excel also can be used as a database and can be converted to a relational database. In the modern world, it also provides cloud integration along with multiple office 365 apps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Excel?

So far, I could say, formula and functions for advance calculations really creates complexity. As no one have that much time to recall those. So, Excel should provide some smart way to improve this formula things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Excel solving and how is that benefiting you?

As we know, when it comes to Spreadsheets, MS Excel only comes to the mind first. From creating spreadsheets, databases, summarisation, etc to integrating the excel sheets/files to cloud services like Sharepoint or onedrive, it simplified all the manual efforts. Nowadays, creating spreadsheets and making them available across the cloud is very necessary, so excel really tops the list. Excel also follows the security like permissions to access the file, modes of file opening, etc. Integration of Sharepoint with Excel, really helps to share files with a single sign on on Teams and Outlook.
