"Saves me from spooky "
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

The authentication process on Microsoft Azure takes security to a level most would dream of. If I wasn't using this level of security I would be spooked out of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

What is there to dislike about security? other than the amount of memory it uses, there isn't much to complain about after it's done doing it's job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The only MFA Solution we even considered after reviewing our options."
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

Microsoft offers one of the most reliable and cost effective MFA solutions we could find. You have the ability to choose txt message, phone call or smart phone app for approving log ins. There is even an included self service portal for users to modify their own options.

Payment options are nice, you can buy blocks of users or Pay-as-You-Go based on the number of active users that month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

The initial deployment was confusing, the documentation was difficult to find and dispersed across several sites. We didn't receive much support during the deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Future of Identity as a Service"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

The vision is hands down the best feature of Azure Active Directory. Imagine a world where you don't need to build another authentication system for your next app (big or small); that is the direction AAD is heading in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

While I understand preview features are subject to change, I'd have to say the dislike is the clarity around implementation when undergoing changes. This issue is actively being addressed with more and more code samples being posted to github, but at the rate the offering is evolving it is hard to keep up with the communication and documentation, especially regarding bleeding edge features. "Implimented and configured Azure Active Directory"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

Very quick and easy to configure and setup and implement. Azure AD ties together Office365, Exchange Online, and Azure to allow single-sign-on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

Microsoft offers no direct migration path to move Azure AD to a premise-based AD structure. This type of migration can be time-consuming for a small company and nearly impossible for a larger organization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Azure Multi-factor Authentication Service is fast to deploy and inexpensive for limited deployment"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

Simple, fast deployment. In my case I was able to install on two servers for redundancy, import desired users from AD, and point my VPN servers at it. The built-in radius server works fine. I've used it for a couple of years now and it's been a reliable service.

Pricing is great for a small number of users.

Phone based authentication adds about 20 seconds to login time, but for occasional remote access that hasn't been a problem. Our users typically login remotely no more than once per day, and they've had no complaints about the additional login step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?

For a large number of users it's probably better to find a solution with a cheaper price per-user. Users needing to login many times per day can be annoyed by the requirement to interact with this service every time they login. For example, using SMS authentication requires that you copy the unique key you received into a response SMS message. If your phone requires a PIN to reply you will first have to enter that, followed by the response message. It's fine for occasional use, but a worker needing to authenticate multiple times a day may become annoyed. In that case it would make more sense to use certs or something else that identifies them without requiring their participation. But for our use, a handful of users needing remote access it's been a real timesaver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
