The interface is powerful but dense; distinguishing between 'User Settings' and 'Enterprise Applications' requires significant documentation reading. Also , it allows centralized user administration and management for all the microsoft solutions i.e Office 365, teams, power apps, azure portal etc. The upsides are: 1. One place to manage identity and track users/activities. 2. Can leverage exisiting on premises Active Directory. (Easy integration with on prem AD) **What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?** The least helpful things was it's kind of difficult to learn at first if you have never used microsoft products and active directory. Also, developers find it difficult as compared to other solutions to integrate with it for authn authz stuff. The downsides are: 1. Steep learning curve for non microsoft users 2. Need to use powershell for automating and scripting which many don't like. 3. developers find it difficult to learn as compared to other IAM solutions or identity as service solutions **Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Entra ID:** Choose Microsoft AAD if one or more of the following conditions are true else there are other good alternatives as well: 1. your admins are already working with AD 2. you use microsoft solutions all over your org 3. you have and on prem ad for user management 4. you solutions are integrated with or are on microsoft cloud 5. you are comfortable with powershell **What problems is Microsoft Entra ID solving and how is that benefiting you?** It makes its easy for me as an administrator to keep track of all users across all microsoft services. Also, different aplications are leveraging as an IAM. Hence user creation, management has been centralized and is very smooth. It's easy to set up, just need to check the MFA option on your login policy. Then you need to get cell phone numbers on each user profile. **What do you dislike about Microsoft Entra ID?** There is no way to combine some users with MFA and some users with a standard authentification (We don't have all customer mobile phone). Sometimes the Azure Portal is not responding well : the website is slow and some tasks failed. Azure is providing some customisation on their login page but some text or fields cannot be changed. **Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Entra ID:** Azure Authent is easy to implement and configure, the standard version is free if you have a small volume of users and login. But there is several limitations. Be careful when implementing this product : we don't find a way to mix MFA and single factor authentification Azure premium subscribtion is needed if you want to get automatic suspicious connexions alert and if you want more than 7 days of login history. **What problems is Microsoft Entra ID solving and how is that benefiting you?** We hope to add more security on our authentification, to prevent unauthorized access, fishing, piracy. We actually not activate MFA for customers for the moment but we hope to do this in the next month. Multifactor helps customer to renew their forgotten password as a self service.
