**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The overwhelment of trying to stay focused on my current task when so many carrots are dangling in front of me! It keeps asking me to sign in to get rewards. Evidently I'm already signed-in. Also, we can't let ChatGPT-3 replace human creativity or compassion. Please do NOT weaponize AI!

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me earn Amazon money while introducing me to new technology such as ChatGPT-3, which is ripping across the face of humanity like a clown brush gone rogue. What colors are we painting the New Humanity with?

 ### 7. Easy-to-use browser for Windows machines!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vidhya S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft Edge has significantly improved over the years, surpassing all other browsers in the current market. No installation is required as it comes along with Windows 10 and Windows 11 as ready-to-use software for users to start browsing with. Edge is optimized for the best performance, compromising visual design for better browsing speeds. Edge is customizable, catering to users' needs for extensions, themes, and tab groups. Edge's compatibility with other Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, 365, etc., makes it easier to use. You can open your Outlook account and see emails without logging in, as it's tied to your default Windows login account. Edge also gives you an easier way of conveniently managing and viewing all your bookmarks in a pop-up window. Edge offers the utmost security from any browser as its updates and security features are automatically installed during every Windows update release. Edge is also excellent for running browser-based software and applications like Zoom meetings, emulators, etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge's main issue for me is that it runs many processes in the Task Manager and uses up more than the average RAM needed for Firefox. Even if you close Edge, you can still see many of its processes running in the background, which is unnecessary if you're not using the browser.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Edge is my most-trusted browser for work, finances, and browser-based software. It's secure and entirely backed by Microsoft. I use many Microsoft products daily, such as 365, Outlook, Skype, etc., and Edge syncs with them seamlessly. Skype dialing on Edge is easy and convenient when making calls. Edge runs smoothly on any device, making it an excellent pair when running other applications on the side. When we work on Visual Studio Code, we can run Edge in the background for meetings or to browse without any CPU drain. Edge's homepage organizes all your most-visited pages and bookmarks for easy access. You also get the daily news, trending articles, and world info without searching for them. Edge also utilizes Bing as the default search engine, which can give you rewards. Edge integrates with Bing Rewards to offer you points for browsing, which you can accumulate and redeem for rewards later.

 ### 8. Great improvement over predecessor, potential to improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dushyant P. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Compared to its predecessor, the infamous Internet Explorer, Edge has modernized itself entirely with modern UI, extensions, browser dev tools, and its integration with MS Office products. Its RAM consumption is slightly lesser compared to the bloated Chrome, which is a big plus for developers who already push their PCs to their limits

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The default search is Bing, which doesn't hold a candle to Google Search (let's hope ChatGPT changes that). The Devtools lack some functionality and community support compared to Chrome Devtools. Extensions are available but not as common as Chrome ones.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Edge is running faster, but it has a longer way to go to become the number one browser. Being part of a firm that is based on the Windows suite of products, Edge is the mandated default browser, and it's helpful because of the close integration with related services like Onedrive, Outlook, Teams and Skype

 ### 9. Revamped and Refined: Unleashing the Power of Microsoft Edge

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Speed and Performance: Microsoft Edge is known for its fast and responsive browsing experience. It loads web pages quickly, runs web applications smoothly, and handles multimedia content seamlessly. Enhanced Privacy and Security: Microsoft has significantly prioritised user privacy and security in Edge. It offers built-in tracking prevention, secure browsing modes, and regular security updates to ensure a safer online experience. Integration with Microsoft Ecosystem: Edge seamlessly integrates with other Microsoft services and products,

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Limited Extension Library: Although Microsoft Edge has a growing collection of extensions, it still lags behind some competitors in the sheer number and variety of available add-ons.Compatibility Issues: Although Edge has improved website compatibility over time, there can still be occasional compatibility issues with certain web pages or applications. Cross-Platform Availability: While Edge is available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices, the feature set and performance can vary across different platforms.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Edge offers improved performance and faster page loading, enhancing efficiency and saving time. Edge includes robust privacy features like tracking prevention, ensuring a more secure and private browsing experience. Edge has improved compatibility, reducing glitches and rendering issues, providing a smoother browsing experience.

 ### 10. Microsoft Edge definatly has the edge a browser need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bishnu M. | Senior Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

There is a lot of improvement in Microsoft Edge compared to Internet Explorer in terms of features, ease of use, extensions and performance. Performance/ speed is excellent, same as Chrome, and sometimes uses less RAM than Chrome. The homepage is customization, which is nice. It works perfectly on mobile devices as well. It has all modern-day browser features like in-private mode, privacy control, bookmark manager etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The way Microsoft Edge evolved to compete with other popular browsers, it is difficult to find cons now with the recent version. However, I found it occasionally crashes, which is also common in other browsers. Also, more control over privacy about various user data collected would have been better.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge is a modern-day browser for internet users to access online content. I use it daily for my internet browsing. The news feeds helps to get quick updates, and also side widget with useful link gives easy access.

 ### 11. Microsoft Edge: the web browser with the best integration with Windows.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph G. | Information Technology Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft Edge provides a fast, secure and personalized browsing experience. The feature of Microsoft Edge I appreciate the most is its connection with other Microsoft products, such as Bing, OneDrive, Office and Outlook. This makes it easy to access my files, emails and documents from any device. Also, I like Microsoft Edge's Collections feature, which allows me to organize and save web information quickly and artfully, and Kids Mode, which will enable me to protect my kids from inappropriate content while surfing the web; another feature quite valuable for me is the seamless integration with Windows as when using Windows shortcut commands to switch apps this works to change tabs in the Edge which is super helpful in my day to day life.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

What I dislike most about Microsoft Edge is that it sometimes has compatibility issues with some web pages designed for other browsers, such as Chrome or Firefox. This can cause some features or elements to display incorrectly or not work as expected.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge helps me browse the Internet more efficiently and safely, as it has a built-in ad blocker, immersive reading mode, automatic translation feature and tracking protection. In addition, Microsoft Edge allows me to sync my bookmarks, passwords, history and preferences between all my devices, which saves me time and effort. And I'm looking forward to the new features that integrate AI.

 ### 12. It’s not your “daddy’s” browser. Fast, secure and slick.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

MicrosoftEdge has been a great experience in the past couple of years. It has improved its speed and added multiple security features that have allowed it to trust Edge. It can be easily installed on various platforms, from Windows, MAC, iPad, Android, etc. The interface is very easy to navigate, and you can quickly find what you are looking for. It easily integrates into our business, allowing passwords and bookmarks to be saved, exported, and transferred to different computers.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge tends to force upon you its search engine. At every occasion, it wants you to search through Bing. Even after changing the default to Google, it periodically asks if you want to change it back, which is annoying. A few years back, Edge was extraordinarily buggy and had many glitches that they would not resolve for months. But lately, it has gotten better. The integrated snipping tool is very annoying. It allows you to capture screenshots, but you can save them directly from the browser.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a browser that can use company emails as the login to keep track of all the bookmarks and passwords. We need a corporate solution for web searches. The ads are a bit annoying, and the extensions are minimal. But overall, it is a robust solution for businesses.

 ### 13. Edge is browsing evolved

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nilton N. | Managing Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

The ability to install/use Web Apps. I love the Web Apps feature in Microsoft Edge.
I don't need to install any software to be able to work and socialize. On top of that, all my web apps are synced, so I can easily log in to Microsoft Edge on another device, and after the sync is complete with just a click, my Web App is ready for use; how wonderful is that!
Let's not forget the password manager, which includes the suggested strong password option when registering a new account across the web.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Is there a downside? Really?
I have not come across anything I dislike so far, and I use Microsoft Edge not only for socializing but also as a production tool, as all my work Apps are Web Apps based on Microsoft Edge.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I change computers twice a year due to work-related conditions and the most annoying thing for me, and I believe it's the case with most users. It's the deployment of the application. It takes me around three days to set up a new computer the way I need it for production - it's a time consuming process.
Now, with Microsoft Edge, I can do the whole process in a few hours and ready to produce.
This is productive because the process is less time-consuming, and I can quickly be available to tend to my customers needs in no time.

 ### 14. We've come a long way, but a bit late to the game

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranj B. | Lead Instructional Systems Designer & Systems Support, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

They have done a good job bringing the browser up to date from a speed perspective and design. I think there is a good potential to get newer computer users onboard as time passes on, but getting veteran users will continue to be an uphill battle.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

on paper, everything seems to be in place for Edge to be a default browser. But a bit late! At this point, personally, I have used the most popular competitor and since I have come accustomed to many of the features and synchronization of my accounts I'm not interested in switching to Edge.
To give them the benefit of doubt, I did switch a while back to Edge since I was impressed by the modern updates but realized that I had to go back to my previous browser.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Edge to test websites we develop to ensure compatibility. Although most of our day-to-day work is done on the competitor browsers, we must ensure that our products are Edge compatible, since many of our customers use it.

 ### 15. Microsoft Edge Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mouli C. | IT Trainee, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

The thing I liked the best about Microsoft Edge is it's speed. Microsoft Edge is blazingly fast and it has lots of features which will make it very usable. It's look and feel also changed a lot in recent updates which is a great touch to a already great browser.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The thing I dislike the most about Microsoft Edge is it's privacy. Microsoft Edge is not the most private browser compared to its competitors like Chrome. And one of the biggest issues with Edge is its lack of extension support. Those who wants to install plugins will have to wait until corresponding add-ons have been developed.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am benefiting a lot from Microsoft Edge because of its lightweight design and faster surfing. I used to face a lot of problems with chrome because it is very heavy, occupies a lot of RAM, and very slow but Edge solves these problems for me. I can search anything within seconds without waiting. It also got super-smooth scrolling which makes my experience a lot better.

 ### 16. Reviewing Microsoft Edge as a web browser

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jonnylou t. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft Edge is almost faster than Google. So you don't need to use another browser for searching in the web browser. And also, there are features in the web browser that you can't find in Google.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Actually none. You can use Microsoft Edge in an easy way.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can use the browser to open other applications on your computer, phone, or tablet. Because without the Microsoft Edge browser, you can't open a single website. In this browser, you can communicate and watch movies with friends.

 ### 17. A Sleek and Efficient Browser

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MUHAMMED Y. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

I have been using Microsoft Edge for the past few months, and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. The browser is sleek and efficient, with a clean and modern interface. Navigation is a breeze, and the browser runs smoothly even with multiple tabs open. One of my favourite features is the ability to sync my bookmarks and browsing history across all my devices. This makes it easy for me to pick up where I left off on any device. Additionally, the built-in reading mode is a game changer for me, as it removes all the clutter and makes reading articles a more pleasant experience. Overall, Microsoft Edge has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new browser.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

I haven't discovered any problems with utilising Microsoft Edge thus far. However, I'd be interested in themes that have attractive looks, as Google Chrome does.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge can benefit users in several ways. The browser's faster loading times and improved performance make it more efficient for users to navigate and find the information they need. Additionally, the built-in security and privacy options give users greater control over their browsing data, which can help them feel more secure online. The ability to sync bookmarks and browsing history across devices makes it more convenient for users to pick up where they left off on different devices.

 ### 18. Microsoft Edge : Powerful and Efficient browser

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar J. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

I have been shifted to Microsoft Edge in past few months and I must say it is the most efficient browser rather than other browsers. It's interface is pretty, like it gives the smooth impression on users. It get very convenient to use because it is integrated with Microsoft suite. It's RAM usage is kind of low than other browsers which makes it work flawlessly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The biggest disadvantage of Edge I feel is, it uses the Bing search engine as it's default search engine. Rather than this the browser is good I don't found any other issues.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As it has high support of document extension, I used it more for document viewer. It is helping me to browse faster and giving better search results. Also best past I like is, it shows the latest news and weather reports based on my location.

 ### 19. Microsoft Edge - Reliable, but sometimes misguided

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

A more modern, and customizable interface than other browsers. Speed of execution and browsing seems to be faster than chrome. Much easier to work with PDF documents.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Search engine linked with edge - bing may not perform as great as other search engines might.Although the interface is quite simple and good, but it sometimes feel much like a tablet which doesnt distinguish the product from a computer or phone or a tablet.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a microsoft ecosystem - be it an enterprise solution or even personal home subscription, the browser is a must. Chrome was industry standard for many years but starting with windows 10, I think edge has increasingly gained dominance and the need for chrome or an alternate browser is not so prominent anymore.

 ### 20. Edge consumes much less RAM then chrome and it is major improvement over Internet explorer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raja s. | Staff Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

It uses fewer resources and doesn't hang even if we open many tabs. This is much better compared to chrome which is resource hungry. And the edge home page also provides exciting news that is quite good.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

There are not many extensions available as with chrome, and the settings from chrome are not auto-synced, so moving them to the edge is a bit of an issue. Some of the google ecosystem services, like google translator, are not integrated by default, which has to be explicitly navigated.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Chrome used to hang every time the number of tabs went beyond maybe 30, which happens quite frequently. So, the browser used to hang, and then I had to kill it and relaunch it.
I don't see these issues with edge.

 ### 21. ""Surf the Web with Ease""

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CHITIKESI S. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

The best thing about Microsoft edge is that it is used for web browser surfing very easily and accurately. It is very quick and simple compared to other browsers. And it's interface is very good that it can be accessible by everyone.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The dislike about Microsoft edge is that it is mainly used in systems and laptops, it is not that much used in mobile phones. It is not extendable to other platforms. Reading feature is distracting. Some times browser gets crashed when more tabs are used.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Performance of the browser increased. Security and privacy concerns are rectifying. Productivity of the system developed. Better user experience, and integration of different products to the browser.

 ### 22. Very handy browser!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniela P. | Junior Content Creative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

I like how easy it is to use the interface is really pleasing and you can add so many widgets to make searching easier and you earn points with microsoft rewards.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

It can be slow to load searches sometimes but usually that is solve with a restart. Also, entertaining survey links or using multiple tabs causes issues and then you have to stop your work and restart.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slow searches but sometimes it has to do with VPN issues or internet connections then the actual browser and multiple tabs can cause issues and a restart is definitely needed.

 ### 23. Microsoft Edge - A less RAM Eater

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohanbabu S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

The default web browser in Windows 10, Microsoft Edge, is quick and up-to-date with current online regulations and has several unique features. Edge arrived with valuable features like the ability to annotate online pages, direct access to Cortana, and a mode that minimizes distractions when reading. Features like Tab Preview, Put Apart, extensions, and e-book reading were included in later releases. Edge is still a worthwhile option and a pleasure to use, even without these extra features. But, a few websites don't work well with Edge, and the browser's ecosystem of extensions is still relatively young compared to those of more established browsers.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Along with the rest of Windows 10, Edge is considered a service, which means it is always evolving as new updates are released that provide support for new features. This is especially helpful for Microsoft's Edge browser, which is still in its developmental stages and hence lacks many of the features of Firefox and Chrome, let alone the extensions-focused Maxthon, Opera, and Vivaldi. I've already complained about the limited number of available add-ons and the inability to conduct a search directly from the History panel. To add insult to injury, you can't use the right mouse button to set a picture as your background. Nevertheless, things are looking up with the advent of full screen webpage viewing in the Fall Creators Update.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it comes to compatibility with modern online standards, Edge is light years ahead of its predecessor, Internet Explorer. The newest release, part of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, includes enhancements to the Chakra JavaScript engine that allow for the use of the JavaScript features WebAssembly, SharedArrayBuffer, and Atomics. In addition, new CSS features like Grid Layout, object-fit, and object-position are now supported by the EdgeHTML 16 page layout engine. Edge has native PDF and Flash Player support. The Edge Test Drive website features demonstrations of several of the new features, as well as performance tests. The Platform status(Opens in a new window) page displays the current list of supported platforms.

Asm.js is a Mozilla initiative that enables near-native code execution, and it is now supported by Edge as well. The aforementioned Unity WebGL benchmark demonstrates how well it performs with the standard. In addition, WebRTC, a protocol for online video and voice calls, is now supported. This innovation enables Skype-like video and audio conferencing right in your browser. (Skype can even be used within the Edge browser.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge is an excellent browser with a simple and sleek interface also it comes together with the windows operating system itself, and it's also having the Microsoft suite embedded which makes it more convenient to use. One of the best features is while reading through an article if you want to search for something in between the article, you can select and left-click to search, by doing the same a side-bar will be triggered with the result so you can continue reading your article with a search bar including results side by side.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The thing is that the browser is too simple and minimalistic that it lacks user attention. For a user, the product should be engaging also competitors like chrome has a wider selection of plugins and extension. I personally feel the websites are more polished for browsers like Chrome, they need to work on the same and also test the compatibility of plugins as well.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me in my everyday browser search and also facilitating my work by combining office suite with a web browser also it allows me to have multiple user profiles so that I can separate out my personal and work life and manage them smoothly

Microsoft Edge is all good to use for all the fields people. The one thing I personally dislike about this browser is that the news section of home page is not look properly and make clumsy to understand as starting.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge solving many problems on time and with accuracy. That Sidebar search is very helpful for me that allows a quick search with having to open new tab.

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge has a very good user feel, I love about Edge is that since the upgrade from Explorer, It has got a better UI, Faster Response as its integrated with windows. But I use Edge as my default browser.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

A little improvements in the UI would definitely help.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The thing they did is recently Integrated all chrome plugins into the browser, that helps so much as we always had to download chrome and use it. Edge is very comfortable to use.

 ### 27. Browser with AI capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafakat K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft edge is the only browser in the market that has such nice integration with Microsoft suites and Windows. The new edge is completely out of this world with its AI capabilities such as text summerization, new chat based Bing and many more that is about to come.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

I don't dislike anything about the browser after it moved to chromium base, pretty much any thing I dislike is common to all browser. One thing that could be improved is support in linux. That would make it fully cross platform since I use Linux at home and Windows at work.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually perform code review, create JIRA tickets and have hundreds of browser tab opened for different tasks, for me Edge handled all things pretty nicely. Its resource utilisation is also comparatively low as compared to other browsers, hence allowing me to open more tabs on same hardware.

 ### 28. Futuristic

**Reviewed by:** Akif Q. | Territory Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Alt+Tab within the window is very helpful for working on multiple tabs. Download files can be opened without opening the download folder. The layout is easy to customise.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

One can not sign a PDF document if opened on Edge. The downloaded file name is not auto-incremented, hence I have to close the previous file to open a new file as the names are the same.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can work on multiple browsers quickly, so I can open a data file on one tab and copy and paste data rapidly onto the next tab to work on the data. When I open the Edge browser, a friendly dashboard sets me up for the work.

 ### 29. Personal experience with Microsoft Edge web browser

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh R. | Data Scientist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Some of the features that are often cited as being particularly appealing in Microsoft Edge include its speed and efficiency, its integration with the Windows operating system, its productivity features such as the ability to annotate and highlight web pages, and its security measures that help protect users from malware and phishing attacks. Additionally, many users appreciate the browser's sleek and modern design, focusing on the content rather than the browser itself. Microsoft Edge has become a popular web browser choice for many users.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

One issue that some users have experienced is compatibility issues with certain websites or web applications. While Microsoft Edge is designed to work well with most web content, there may be cases where it does not display or function correctly on some sites. However, this is a relatively rare occurrence, and Microsoft has been working to improve compatibility over time.

Another issue that some users have noted is that the browser can be resource-intensive, mainly when multiple open tabs. This can lead to slower performance or higher resource usage than other browsers. However, Microsoft has optimised the browser's performance over time and it generally performs well on modern hardware.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First, Microsoft Edge is designed to be fast and efficient, which helps users save time when browsing the internet. Its speed and responsiveness allow users to quickly access the information they need without waiting for pages to load or for the browser to respond.

Second, Microsoft Edge is integrated with the Windows operating system, which helps to streamline and simplify the user experience. This integration allows users to take advantage of features like Cortana, Windows Ink, and the Start menu, which can help improve productivity and workflow.

Third, Microsoft Edge includes various productivity features that can help users work more efficiently. For example, its ability to annotate and highlight web pages can be handy for research or note-taking. Its reading mode removes distractions to make it easier to focus on reading.

Finally, Microsoft Edge offers powerful security features, which help to protect users from malware, phishing attacks, and other online threats. Its built-in anti-phishing filter and sandboxing technology can help to keep users safe while they browse the internet.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Search results are not that great. Especially around results for buying pizza etc. I think you really need to take care of the location before you show up ads results.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't see a huge difference in terms of what edge is trying to do compared to Google search. The only bummer is that Google search is giving way more better results and understanda the timing for My queries

 ### 33. Best browser for IT professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun R. | Associate Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft Edge is a successor to the early built-in browser provided by Microsoft- Internet Explorer. And when compared to Internet Explorer, Edge is ahead of the race by miles. It gives a smoother connection, offers a load of extensions available in the Microsoft Store, and the easier integration of the Microsoft account to the browser makes it easy to track down the searches. Compared to its counterpart Chrome, Edge is relatively lightweight but as fast and responsive as Chrome. And major advantage is that it has less RAM usage as compared to Chrome, which allows us to experience a smoother functioning of the app. Edge is also a great PDF viewer, it supports most of document extensions. And Edge is highly compatible with the modern web.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The most important disadvantage of Edge is that it uses Bing Search Engine as the default search engine. If it comes with a more reliable search engine such as Google, the users need to change the default search engine manually. Even though edge contains a lot of extensions, it is not a wide stream compared to Chrome extensions. The community is growing day by day, but it is not big enough. And the constant notification of using edge as your default browser provides a negative impression on the browser.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge is mainly used for web surfing, searching the web for answers, and conducting cloud operations remotely. It is also used as a document viewer, as it supports most of document extensions.

 ### 34. Microsoft Edge is a great alternative web browser

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie M. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

I really like that Microsoft Edge is fast and does not take up a lot of RAM on my machine (unlike Google Chrome). Setting up the browser was very easy. The Bing search engine has also improved over time.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

I dislike that Microsoft Edge is not supported by some older hardware. There is also a lack of browser extensions (plugins) available for the user. This can lead to a slow down in some tasks that Chrome can do better.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge is solving the problem of being less resource intensive on your machine. Edge also has more private settings available to the user, which makes it more secure.

 ### 35. Speed of browser in Rendering and Responsiveness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravikiran Reddy C. | Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge was pretty consistently right around 1GB with occasional spikes.Edge is highly secured and privacy much easier for users from the moment they install the browser.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge doesn't offer better Add-ons or Extension as that of Google Chrome. In Edge users run into occasional incompatibility and it is irrefutably less convenient than just adding to Chrome from Chrome Web store.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a whole, from a business prospective, we use Azure which is offered by Microsoft and we got tie-up with Microsoft for making use of all applications among them Edge is one of the tool . As mentioned earlier it solves speed and Responsiveness etc

 ### 36. Microsoft edge: not a good choice

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph A. | Cyber Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

EDGE is integrated into Windows, meaning it's free with every installation you make. It integrates easily with all other Microsoft products and allows you to import data from other browsers. Microsoft's jump from INTERNET EXPLORER to EDGE is a giant leap forward but still lacks a lot.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft Edge is built on the old Internet Explorer technology, where nothing goes right. Most websites misbehave around it if you can get them to load first. It is by far the worst internet browser I have ever used. No one would ever use it if it were not bundled within Windows for free.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge is, to me, the spare for the spare tire. I usually use it only once, and that is to download MOZILLA FIREFOX after a fresh Windows installation. Other than that, just when I need to open the same site under two different accounts simultaneously.

 ### 39. Edge definitely isn't Internet Explorer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mickey J. | CEO, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Extremely fast, Edge seems to be considerably faster than Chrome these days. Edge also tends to work better than Chrome with most websites. I get far fewer issues with Edge than with Chrome. Edge is also natively integrated with my Microsoft account, which makes things considerably easier for me.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Customizing Edge is not as easy as with Chrome. At this time, there isn't as much variety of add-ins to Edge as with Chrome.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables me to access the internet, as well as access our company's intranet - without having to point it at our intranet. That's amazing!

 ### 40. Better, More Polished Chrome

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron B. | Technical Sales Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Disclaimer: I haven't used Google Chrome regularly in a while (2 years or more). Not sure what some reviews are saying but Edge is Chromium-based, not based on Internet Explorer architecture.
I switched from Chrome to Edge because Edge has better resource utilization, which is great when I have 50+ tabs open for all my classes and work. Edge has its own extensions, but it also accepts any Chrome extensions directly from the Chrome store, which is very convinient. Also, there are now tab groupings that help organize tabs across windows.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Not many cons, but the default search engine is Bing which is only minorly annoying. Also, sometimes Edge will have updates that add minor aesthetic changes/options that are only annoying or alter my previous aesthetic settings.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Viewing emails, PDFs, and other work.

 ### 41. Revamped MS Browser is now Better than Before

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ranielle m. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Edge has significantly improved after its revamp from IE10 and older versions. One notable improvement is the more sturdy browsing experience in terms of screen loading and lesser crashes compared to how it was before in IE. It has its own set of browser extensions, making it a hefty browsing tool.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Unfortunately, Microsoft collects a lot of data from its users; however, it allows opting out of data collection wherever possible. Compared to other browsers, this is a disadvantage for EDGE.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft EDGE browser is a tool frequently used in our team for online research and for using online application for software development. With its revamp, it’s more reliable now that how it used to in its predecessor.

 ### 42. My experience with Edge

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

The new tab, which gives options to customize what's to be shown, is the feature I like the most.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

The bing search results are not always helpful, which can be pretty irritating & tempting to switch to google.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use edge for youtube - playing on my monitor & also casting to my nest hub. I also use it to open Microsoft app links, view cricket scores, and browse work-related or personal doubts.

 ### 43. Microsoft edge, next generation browser

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nasreen P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft edge takes significantly less memory as compared to Google chrome and because of that it works flawlessly on my low spec home computer, while being faster than Google chrome

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft edge should have its own custom extension store exclusively build for Edge, It is good that it supports Chrome extensions out of the box, it would be great if microsoft makes their own extension store where they check for Quality before allowing to be installed on edge, apart from ability to install from Chrome

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Microsoft Edge, I browser for technical articles, with many tabs open, collecting bits and pieces from different sources and compile them together to form a engaging and correct technical content for our company.

 ### 44. Way better than Internet Explorer

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

Microsoft Edge has improved a lot from the times of Internet Explorer. It's now faster than Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, which were the default choices for many people.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have better options for account synchronisation and a simpler user interface. Microsoft Edge seems to be a little complicated and using an account to synchronize our data is difficult.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Edge is helping me browse the internet more efficiently and has become a faster application for the same. This enables me to complete my tasks more quickly without utilizing a huge amount of RAM.

When copying a link from Edge, it automatically creates a headline for it, which is efficient in sending links to other people. Edge features are easily accessible without having the need to configure them through settings, such as 'Web Capture' and 'On Screen Reading'. I also like how better the favorites are displayed. When using Edge as PDF reader, it allows you to freely edit them as well.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

So far, I haven't found any issues with using Microsoft Edge. But I'd be interested in having themes like how Google Chrome offer nice designs for their themes.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Edge for work and it allows me to do my work efficiently and productively. Its features are convenient to my daily work.

 ### 46. Unmatched Security Features

**What do you like best about Microsoft Edge?**

What I like best about Edge is that it integrates with Defender for Endpoint and we can manage security settings much easier and build a stronger security posture.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge?**

What I dislike most about Edge is the resources that it consumes. With only a few tabs and extensions running, it uses way to much RAM and slows down my over all performance of the computer.

**What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to save my bookmarks across different devices, having enhanced security settings, and creating faux apps for my desktop.
