EDGE is integrated into Windows, meaning it's free with every installation you make. It integrates easily with all other Microsoft products and allows you to import data from other browsers. Microsoft's jump from INTERNET EXPLORER to EDGE is a giant leap forward but still lacks a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Microsoft Edge? Microsoft Edge is built on the old Internet Explorer technology, where nothing goes right. Most websites misbehave around it if you can get them to load first. It is by far the worst internet browser I have ever used. No one would ever use it if it were not bundled within Windows for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Microsoft Edge solving and how is that benefiting you? Microsoft Edge is, to me, the spare for the spare tire. I usually use it only once, and that is to download MOZILLA FIREFOX after a fresh Windows installation. Edge is a serviceable web browser that allows you to visit all the websites you need, and usually doesn't have any issue displaying them. Downloads work fine and the interface is clean and modern. Edge always seems to be lagging behind Firefox and Chrome with the latest website features, which can occasionally make websites appear differently on it. It is the Windows default browser and does not like to let you switch to another one. Windows always tries to prompt you to use Edge. Also, the default search engine, Bing, is not as good as alternatives. It is also rather slow to load up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Edge: It's free and comes with Windows. Chances are you will be able to try it for a while to decide if you like it. "Microsoft Edge, while better than it's predecessor, it's still behind competitors" 1.5/5 What do you like best about Microsoft Edge? Solid from a security standpoint and it's easy to use. Nothing really stands out as far as features and functionality is concerned. Can be EXTREMELY slow at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Edge: While moving in the right direction, Microsoft Edge is still inferior to alternatives like Chrome and Firefox. That being said, as far as security is concerned, it's the best browser available, safer than both the aforementioned alternatives.
