What do you like best about Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management?

From personal experience, Microsoft defender vulnerability management has got much better over time. Compared to the nunber of issues it used to have 3-4 years back, now its much more dependable for safety of your computer. Ofcourse, there are still more matured third party defenders out there but they hide behind an extra level of paywall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management?

There is still loads of improvement that can be done, specially around the UI changes made in windows 11. Things have become a bit more complex for new users & UI can be more streamlined. All the Dials and Dashboard and clear information as well as instructions on how to remediate possible vulnerabilities really make it easy to shore up any weaknesses in your network and device security. What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management?

There are something a little TOO much information. Some people might find it a little daunting at first. MS tries to make it a little easier with a couple walk throughs, but ultimately you just need to put in the time to learn the interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We didn't have a clear view of where our weaknesses were on an endpoint perspective. WIth MS Defender Vulnerability Management, we can now see how secure our network is and what next steps we need to take to remediate issues. When you don't have dedicated cybersecurity staff, that view into your weaknesses and walkthrough on remediation makes it really easy to get a handle on things. Since we already had MS Business E5 licensing, it's already rolled into our costs, so why not use it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft defender vulnerability management is a feature which is very useful to check enduser vulnerabilities and mitjgate those vulnerability. We can not export data over than 1 lakh data , there are many vulnerability associated with any software, that we can't export through defender easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

It really provides rich information ( real time ) related endpoint vulnerability and it's mitigation. The interface is really good. It can be used to deploy changes across the devices. It has the intuitive intelligence to detect and respond to threats.

To use the application, some additional training is needed.

Integrating this tool with a 3rd party tool is completely difficult.

Lot of applications and dashboards are available, some times it is difficult to extract data from the dashboards ( confused ). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

This tool helps in automatically identifying security threats and rapidly managing them. This enabled the support and security team to save cost and time.

I couldn't find a way to remove the offboarded device.
