"Comprehensive solution to protect Active Directory from identity attacks"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Identity?

Microsoft Defender for Identity easily identifies suspicious identity-related attacks or possible attack vectors without advanced configurations.

The built-in collection of users, groups, devices and audit logs from Active Directory, makes it easy to find what change has been made, by who and when it was made.

The ability to automatically remediate and disable a suspected compromised user identity keeps the response time and attack vector low.

Having the integration and working together with the other Microsoft Defender products, you can get an overall view of a targeted attack and correlate events and alerts from both the user and device side, with the collaboration tools in Microsoft 365. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Identity?

The cost of Microsoft Defender for Identity, as a standalone product, is at the higher end of similar products. To make the purchase justifiable, you would most likely have to look at a license-bundle where the Microsoft Defender for Identity is included, and utilize the other solutions that also are included in that bundle. Like any security solution, there is a possibility of false positive alerts, where legitimate activities are flagged as suspicious.
