It get integrated with AD so easily and helps to identify,detect and investigate the threat coming from all the directions. Be it inside threat or the outside threat.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Identity?

Although chances are less of having any dislikes but having the OS and security from the same vendor sometimes create conflicts in terms of having best security practices. The management console could use some work. It doesn't really have a great UI. It takes time to go through each of the tabs to find what you are looking for, but it does have what you are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

it provides a whole extra layer of insights and security to azure and your on prem ad servers. it allows you to get hybrid cloud insights that takes id security to the next level espically when intergrated into the other defender products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Identity?

MDFI requires a significant level of permissions and changes on the DC's to be able to pull the relevent logs and this can also increase the cpu and ram usage on the servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Identity?

It is so realtime that I am able to identify any threat immediately. Due to its integration with web browser, I can have safe browsing. It's cloud based protection is most liked because all files are now stored in cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel Dependency on Active Directory should be addressed:

Microsoft Defender for Identity focuses on protecting on-premises Active Directory environments.
