**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

Microsoft Defender is a easy to use and easy to implement. The best benefit is it is inbuilt with azure cloud and also can be integrated with other clouds easily and provide a unified dashboard for all the clouds. It detects the threats, misconfiguration and keep the security check in real time. Along all this, it can also be integrated with many azure services such as Entra Id, purview which helps in seemless data flow and quicker incident response. There are also built in features for audit. Also, the azure support team is always ready to help out in case of any doubts or issue.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

The pricing can be little complex to understand which can get expensive if not managed wisely. Also due to overwhelming features, it hs a steep learning curve which can be time consuming to go thorugh. It does provide multi cloud support but it is best to be used with Azure services as it doesn't allow deep integration with other clouds.

**What problems is Microsoft Defender for Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without Microsoft defender, either we need to integrate the cloud with third party tools for scanning and monitoring the resources. Now microsoft defender provides inbuilt capabilities to do all this stuff.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

Honestly? I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Solid for Azure-heavy environments, but not the best choice if you're multi-cloud or need deep analytics out of the box.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

It's always lagging. And there is a 7 minute delay with everything.

**What problems is Microsoft Defender for Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Defender for Cloud helps spot misconfigurations, compliance gaps, and basic security risks across cloud environments. It's great if you're deep in Azure, but noisy and less useful for multi-cloud. Solid for hygiene and audits, but not groundbreaking.

**What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

Microsoft defender for cloud provides businesss with a unified platform to manage and enhance security across both cloud and on-premises environment, it offers pay-as-use model which might be beneficial for some user. It's real-time threat detection, seamless integration with Microsoft tools, and compliance management make it an ideal choice for organisations seeking an all-in-one security solution.

What I dislike about Microsoft defender for cloud is the complex pricing, which can quickly become expensive, and the overload of alerts, often leading to false positives. Additionally, the mukti-cloud support isn't as robust for non-azure platforms, the initial setups can be complicated for teams without cloud security setup experience

**What problems is Microsoft Defender for Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides real-time threat detection for workload and containers, helping identify vulnerabilities and attacks early. It's automated security recommendations improve protection without contant manual intervention. It also consolidates security management across cloud environment, it simplifies oversight, while the container monitoring ensures consistent security across all deployments. For me, it streamlined workload protection and reduces the complexity of security dynamic cloud environment

**Reviewed by:** Sunil Y. | Digital Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

The better side of defender for cloud was that it does it works perfectly fine, it was easy to integrate with my multivendor ecommerce website & application. We implemented defender cloud within couple of days. Even the customer support helped us with complete integration. We used it for couple of months and it prevented alot of spam and attacks. In short all the resources I was utilising on my profile were inside a safe security vault.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

The only drawback of this service I found was the costing of this service. I found it a bit on the expensive side and hence we had to drop it somehow due to budget constrain.

**What problems is Microsoft Defender for Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MS Defender helped me take care of my cloud resources and blocking threats to access my resources. I was worried about the safety of my source code and loopholes in them during the development phase but it MS Defender came in handy during the most critical scenarios.
