**What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

Microsoft Defender is very useful in terms of application, network, and email security. I am using it in my company to protect our applications and email from threat and phishing attacks. Its dashboard will show us the issue in our infrastructure, so from one point, you can see the issue related to the security in your infra. You can make policies to protect your application and assets from security risks.
It has a connector feature that will give you the strength to connect it with other applications as well. The integration is easy as you only need to make connectors and the application will integrate with this.
You can reach out to the support of Microsoft for any issues, and they will resolve them ASAP. You can go for paid support as well.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

First of all, we are using Defender in our company for email threat protection. We have made inbound and outbound policies for email filtering and Defender is doing a fabulous job on this. It protects us against fraud emails, Phishing attacks, and any suspicious links or documents shared by our internal users to external or external to internal or internal to internal as well. It has a whitelist feature that we can use to whitelist our trusted vendors and users.
It is very easy to set up and use. Its integration with other cloud platforms like Mimecast is also very easy, you just need to make a connector and it will accept that feature. For any query, you can contact support with just a few clicks and they are very supportive of this. You can create multiple policies on this for your environment, you can protect your cloud applications from threats and a lot more features are there that benefit a lot to my environment.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?**

Sometimes it does not accurately track the threat, I have seen it has released some suspicious emails and has not shown a security risk, but it is very low, I will say its SLA is more than 99% but yes, sometimes it fails to meet our expectations.
The support team of 1st level, if you are not going for paid subscription, then they will not provide their best engineers to handle your request.

**What problems is Microsoft Defender for Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is benefitting us to secure our infrastructure like Network, Applications and email security. It helps us to define policies at one place and then we can manage all policies from one central point. For application security, it shows the security risk associated with the applications. Their security feature will show you the risk associated with the application and users as well. It controls the email flow from inside to outside and inbound emails as well.
