What do you like best about Microsoft Build of OpenJDK?

The fact that it is based on OpenJDK source code which is an open-source repository where different people can view the implementation is the most fascinating part for me because I like open-source projects. Also, it extends updates with the new versions of Java making it always on the map and a real competitive choice for any programmer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Build of OpenJDK?

I might seem conflicting with myself right now but I find that it's open source also a cons somehow because this makes enterprise support less than as if you are running paid like an Oracle JDK.

I face some problems with IntelliJ Support but I guess the stability will happen over time with more contributions and fixes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Build of OpenJDK solving and how is that benefiting you?

Supporting most of the Java libraries with standard implementations and support for various architecture environments - Mac, Windows, Linux, etc... as I work on different Operating systems whether I m freelancing on my personal laptop or working on the board with there computer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A great universal tool which works with most of Macs and windows. It makes developing apps so easy and also so easy to debug errors.

Microsoft build OpenJDK is no cost and and comes with Long term support distribution of open source Java. Its also includes binaries for Java 11 available on x64 server. Microsoft build comes with backported fixes and enhancement for security and performance. Its support multiple of OS like windows,macOS and Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Build of OpenJDK?

Every thing about Microsoft build openjdk is good.. but there are some problem i am facing in this No ARM based macOS binary at this point, medium term support releases of OpenJDK are not support, Docker image is not available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Build of OpenJDK solving and how is that benefiting you?

Overall Azure subscriptions cost reduces by removing the cost passed to other vendors for JDK lincesea. Backported fixes and enhancement of security and performance. What do you like best about Microsoft Build of OpenJDK?

It helped Java Professionals like me to download and install the open-source JDK. Eventhough using Java 11 and above for personal use does not require licensing Still I prefer using JDK like Microsoft Build of OpenJDK Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Build of OpenJDK?

I do not find it in list of JDK that can be downloaded from IntellIJ. I have downloaded Azul, Amazon Correto open JDK from IntellIJ but not microsoft build Open JDK Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
