Sitescope is helpful if you want to setup URL monitor.

Interface is not user friendly. We can't make any changes to that.

Technically, an easy-to-deploy solution to manage and monitor infrastructure without the need to set up agents throughout the environment. It has low overhead on the environment and is an easy-to-use solution for support teams.

**What do you dislike about OpenText SiteScope?**

Licensing can be tricky when handling several monitor types across your infrastructure. Cost-wise, it can be less competitive compared to similar solutions. The UI could be improved as well.

**What problems is OpenText SiteScope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to understand monitoring for every piece of infrastructure in our environment. Maintenance and support is top-notch, very reliable tool that helps identify underlying problems inside our infrastructure.

Generating results quickly - spending less than two days to really monitor an extensive set of devices and applications is a boon. Application, device and URL monitoring all in one tool means I can spend less trime on configuration and more time on my actual job.

Reporting could be better with some form of integrated report builder.

Monitoring a few web-based applications and servers - Linux and Windows.

Ability to automate checks in multiple ways using different tools.

Some of the algorithms are too binary.   If a certain sequence of events are not followed results may not be correct.

Near real-time monitoring of multiple  systems grouped by functional areas.

Micro Focus SiteScope enables easy log management and a very reliable tool for remote monitoring. Manual performance optimization functions are amazing, and with Micro Focus SiteScope configuration or the alerts depending to the business, requirements is fantastic. 
Generally, this is an effective Microsoft services monitoring solution with a very short learning curve.

**What do you dislike about OpenText SiteScope?**

From my entire experience with Micro Focus SiteScope, all have been good, easy configuration and easy learning.

Very required workflow automation system, easy performance monitoring and it provides plenty active functions with easy usability.

Sitescope is a threshold event-based platform the allows real-time visualization for IT infrastructure, applications, and services. It is really helpful in monitoring the service , infra we have. We have observed so many issues and eliminated those with the help of sitescope.

**What do you dislike about OpenText SiteScope?**

Nothing as such just that if there could be monitoring for web application too would be really helpful.

**What do you like best about OpenText SiteScope?**

Micro focus is a very to easy learn and use tool.

The tool can be quickly picked up and implemented without any complexity. 

The micro focus support team responds very quickly on any tool issues and provide good solutions and suggestions.

My career started as Micro focus automation center, and now I am happy to see the Demand in market once the individual gains right type of experience.

**What do you dislike about OpenText SiteScope?**

The tool needs to become freeware so larger groups of people learn its ease of use and the great features of tool.

Micro focus has great demand for experienced individuals in market.
It's easy to implement and use, it Wil best decision to start at this tool for being of automation career and for reliable future.

I use microfocus tool to automate many bank applications as :windows applications, Web applications and mainframe applications.
All automation was quickly implemented with team and saved a lot of regression time for the project.

It is very important that the production grade applications are monitored round the clock.

Some information is not complete in the manuals from MF

i really like that it has out of the box monitors for win and linux and also app related monitors like websphere, etc..

i dont like that its heavy weighted and got bugs that takes the dev team alot of time to fix

monitoring non-prod/prod systems and the main benefit is that sis is a one stop for all monitorimg you need for all infra and apps level

Many templates with monitors out of the box. Also in the monitors you can implement many technologies are including.

The software needs to be restarted frequently.

Best to implement alongside with OMi solution.

Integration issues with other software. It can be perfectly integrated with BSM or OMI in order to receive events or alerts in a console.

Java based, not bery stable solution, hangs periodically

SiteScope does not need deployment of agents on monitored servers, has good tool for Windows and Kinux monitoring

It is based on Java, mor than, it is some custom buld of Java and you are not able to open WebIU from anywhere
