## About Mezmo
Mezmo built an AI SRE agent that helps SRE and platform teams manage production environments with greater context, control, and trust. It supports autonomous incident detection, investigates incidents, identifies likely root causes, generates post-mortems, and turns repeatable operations work into governed agentic workflows on-call teams can rely on. The agent runs on AURA, Mezmo’s open-source agent harness, and is grounded by Mezmo’s real-time telemetry pipeline. Together, they give the agent task-ready context from logs, metrics, and traces instead of raw data dumps. Mezmo keeps production AI inspectable and controlled. Teams can connect their own models, integrate existing tools through MCP, run workflows on their own infrastructure, and audit every plan, prompt, and tool call. Mezmo is built for SRE and platform teams that want to bring AI into production operations without giving up control, context, or trust.

## Mezmo Reviews
  ### 1. Detailed and valuable logging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

It's easy to set up, the interface is brilliant and the price is friendly.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Sometimes the real-time logging takes a little longer to process and show. But overall, it's pretty good.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging is a very important element to keep track and debug issues.

  ### 2. SaaS logs solution for affordable price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Perfect pricing that suits our needs. Also possibility to backup logs for history on amazon.
Easy setup with k8s.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Filter on logs could be better.
Web-based UI (as on all SaaS logs) could be laggy.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A centralized place for logs in our company

  ### 3. LogDNA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Live view of multiple hosts/app at the same time, quick and easy filtering of search results, histogram rendering of your search results, webhook integration. In most respects superior to LogEntries which I also have quite extensive experience with.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Exporting via email is somewhat cumbersome. I understand the process is hard to make 100% instantaneous due to data volumes, but I'd prefer if I could stay in browser or even produce exports using a CLI. My main reason for exporting data is to do further analysis using CLI tools, so having a more direct route between LogDNA and that types of tools would be cool.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Think about your log retention period, lowering that a bit let us save a bit of money.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring multiple interconnected systems at once, and understanding traffic flow between them. Identifying and understanding errors in our systems. Troubleshooting individual problems users may be facing etc.

  ### 4. Easy to setup application logs and provides easy integration with apps like slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Easy integration for applications and notifications

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

clicking links from Slack does not take you to the log and you have to scroll or search

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a one-stop logging solution for multiple apps

  ### 5. Neat Logging System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan-jumbo V. | Lead Front-end Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

A very clean and elegant UI and Ux used.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Very linear allowed features in free plan.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

It is just best to use

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeps track of my system logs and info, and saves me costs. Yes, am benefiting financially and very productive.

  ### 6. Actually, I presented LogDNA to my Team and everyone loved it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

board and the screens, I really love how I can see what happened day to day. Really nice to be able to see the patterns and see where the spikes are coming from

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Not that much that I do not like about LogDNA. There is too much good things to make something really stand out to you that is a bad thing for LogDNA. Its truly a great tool

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Get it, its worth it.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With my team we are able to get alerts from the errors before the users reach out to us to let us know about the error. I love I know before they do and can have the issue fixed sometimes before they reach out.

  ### 7. LogDNA for testing purposes to check logs from services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrey T. | QA Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like UI, usability. Quick and simple with huge possibilities for personalization

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Sometimes when log is huge I see some performance issues. Search can take a lot of time. Also it will be greate to create custom tabs for log window

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

The best easy to use tool for monitoring

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy error handling. I see every trace record and can understand if something goes wrong

  ### 8. Flexible and Insightful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stewart M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Simple integration to kubernetes and ability to filter based on tags

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Could be a little quicker in displaying logs, but can accept it for sheer amount of logs going through the system

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use LogDNA to diagnose and find issues within our sites, we manage multiple sites and all are handled through LogDNA

  ### 9. So easy that I've actually started logging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phillip S. | IT Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

It's simple to set up for many different log sources.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The LIVE tail indicator icon is a little hard for me to see if it's enabled. It would be good to have a little more control over how and where logs are exported.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

If you just want easy, LogDNA is, in my opinion, the only way to go. I'm using it to ingest logs from routers, switches, Docker containers, Cloudfront, nginx, and MySQL. If you don't like the way some types of logs are being parsed, you can set up your own parsing rules. The custom parsing setup page, once you figure it out, is a brilliant work of art.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's pretty easy to get just about anything to ship logs to LogDNA. Since it's no hurdle, it's now trivial to make sure every device or piece of software I use can output to LogDNA. Since I can also have LogDNA export all those logs to an S3 bucket for me, I now have centralized logging with infinite retention.

  ### 10. I like LogDNA tool for its simplicity, awesome UI and easy integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like the UI application itself, its ability to traverse across the logs, show a message in context, the Kube stats information, and filtering.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I'm struggling with search experience. Whenever I want to start searching using the "search..." field, I want to have a typeahead search not for fields only but values.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My primary use case is troubleshoting. The main benefit for me is getting the logs from all pods of one app. Usually, I look for a specific error message and then get the additional information at the same time to understand what was wrong.

  ### 11. All your logs in one place!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matias B. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Concentrate all the logs of my microservices in one place.
I can set some template for field gathering and build monitoring dashboards

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Maybe is a bit slow at the beginning to see the first lines of logs, but is not a big problem

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Yes I strongly recommend to others using LogDNA.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can monitor some metrics direct from my logs, for example how much time takes each step in a large algorithm

  ### 12. Leverage LogDNA to more quickly address server failures

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Ease of use is the best feature. However, the data visualizations available have made it much easier for us to pinpoint server failures. I definitely recommend.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

It did take me a little longer to familiarize myself with the platform. I think an improvement could be adding tutorials reviewing features and how-to guides to hit the ground running.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using LogDNA to read logs to better identify server failures. Yes, the financial benefit is substantial compared to our previous log reader Splunk. Our performance has improved since we are able to pinpoint issues much faster than before. It has vastly improved our operations.

  ### 13. Powerful logging for a friendly price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA is a very affordable service, easy to set up, and the user interface is really excellent.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I have been using the service for many years, and there have been some stability/uptime issues, making it not always 100% reliable for real-time logging and alerts. We've considered switching a few times, but every platform has it flaws so as LogDNA brings good value for money, we decided to stay.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging is very important feature to keep track of events and debug issues when they happen.

  ### 14. Excellent Logging product and at best price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raman b. | CoFounder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Simple platform and flexibility to configure webhooks, slack integration for errors/warnings and AWS for backups.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Only monthly billing plan and issues setting recurring payment from India

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidated Logging, Realtime reporting of Issues

  ### 15. LogDNA provides all of my logging needs in one neat package

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like the fact that all my logs from various disparate components are in a single place

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I'm struggling to figure out how to extract and aggregate data from my logs into useful metrics.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have visibility of my systems logging output which in turn gives me immediate notification of errors.

  ### 16. Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Logging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate R. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Clean integration with Heroku; simple setup and highly affordable!

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The UI sometimes gets weird, and the search bar scrolls off the screen.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am finding and debugging issues with web applications. LogDNA allows me to access the needed logs of critical failures with minimal effort.

  ### 17. Quite comprehensive tool for logging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The UI is great, and the ability to make structured queries also helps a lot in finding what you want. Also, it is very easy to share links to contextual logs with colleagues since all the query information is in the URL

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

If our software has any bug, the LogDNA bill might get big due to unintended intense logging. It would be nice if LogDNA had any mechanism to filter out useless, repetitive logs

Also, the python client we use a lot to send logs from our applications outside of the cluster could use more love in Github!

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring our applications in a complex and heterogeneous environment (Kubernetes cluster + on-premise processing). We also use it to share relevant issues among coworkers.

The tool is convenient, has good UI, and improved a lot our communication and workflow

**Official Response from Gordon Jen:**

> Hi there! We have read your review and truly appreciate the candor and feedback. We do--have in fact the ability to filter out useless/repetitive/unnecessary logs.

These features are fully available on our annual plans. If you're interested in learning more, please do let us know!

  ### 18. Very useful for debugging

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like the timestamp searching. It allows me to pinpoint asynchronous code to view our system in an extremely granular way. The tagging functionality is also very useful.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The color scheme can be cumbersome. Some of our error logs are very long, and it is inconvenient to read with linebreaks. The scrolling is also sometimes very slow but I think that is an issue with our error logs than it is with LogDNA.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to gain real time understanding of the interaction between our microservices. This includes job queuing, job submission, license checking and storage access.

  ### 19. Enable users to see log data in real-time

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek P. | Business Intelligence Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

You can see log data in real-time, which helps debug purposes. In addition, the search feature is very robust.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

There is no ability to export data as a CSV. Export exclusion makes understanding historical data difficult because it continuously streams live information while deleting older entries.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most recently, we were able to see the actual hosts tied to IP addresses because we had an issue with masking. This feature allowed us to increase our Web Vitals score because we could identify accurate Googlebot IP addresses.

  ### 20. Wonderful experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renat E. | Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Ability to search logs across several applications

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Not all integrations correctly parse input log files (Elasticsearch in Kubernetes), so stacktraces spread in multiple lines in logdna

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- single point of logs collection
- seach across logs
- alerts on exceptions in logs

  ### 21. Decent logging tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nessa N. | Senior software engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Ability to search exact and approximate terms. The service and level filters are straight-forward and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Sometimes the search functionality lags but there's no indicator. It's unclear whether there's no log or the service fails to identify it.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually search for specific errors or debugging logs to find the stacktrace. It's most useful for real-time debugging in production env.

  ### 22. Incredible value for the price, with some room for improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Sole-proprietor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA's service is the most affordable SAAS product in its class and, while not as feature-rich as some competitors, provides more-than-ample functionality for observing and querying server and application logs. Instrumentation is dead simple, as is creating views, graphs, and custom dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

While fairly intuitive, LogDNA doesn't have the best UI under the sun and could stand some improvement. I have also had an ongoing issue with being forcibly logged out after making minor settings changes (though I thankfully do not lose my changed settings). I don't have many complaints beyond that, however. I could always stand to be happier but I'm perfectly content with this product.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

If you're a small company doing big things, SAAS platforms can eat up a significant amount of your revenue, particularly those priced on providing a slew of features in their product you'll likely never touch — as many observability platforms geared towards the enterprise do. LogDNA gives you exactly what you need and no more at an absolutely unbeatable price point when compared to all of their closed-source competitors. It's frankly even cheaper than self-hosting an open-source competitor.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a provider of managed web hosting services, LogDNA has made it much more convenient to stay on top of my servers and clients' applications, as well as to spot the source of unexpected outages.

  ### 23. An awesome platform to aggregate and search for all of your server logs.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratyaksh G. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Here are some points:
1.Give better& deeper insights.
2.Saves time while searching for errors.
3.Provides plenty of cloud-level integrations.
4.Search Retention a great feature, helps a lot while working on large projects which might extend to longer durations.
5. Also, recently LogDNA rolled out a new feature named "Browser Logger", which enables frontend developers to capture frontend log and diagnostic data, which helps to gain insights about user experience and is valuable to optimize the services.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

From my experience, I am quite happy with the offerings provided by LogDNA but the customization offered with respect to color presets of log levels can be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

It's really great service to help save time and gain deeper insights into your application logging. And with recent enhancements of "Webhook Alert Integration," it offers further enhancement and customization of alerts, which seems to help a lot.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me in the following ways:
1.It helps in troubleshooting, by providing a "live streaming tail" feature which works pretty well when diagnosing issues.
2.Helps in monitoring the state of the applications.
3.Being a student developer, exporting the log details helps me keep track of the manner I resolved an issue, so helps me in learning as well and helps to enhance my skill set.

  ### 24. LogDNA enables us to effectively keep track of our web application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

It's easy to setup, and the web interface is good.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Sometimes large error messages go missing in our logs (max size).

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

I would recommend LogDNA to anyone needing to track the health of a web application in real time. I'd also recommend it for tracking down errors and bugs.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We monitor a complex web application in real time. It allows us to see the health of application, and quickly track down errors.

  ### 25. Great docs and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I really like the documentation and support that I've received from LogsDNA. Also important is that it supports the Flutter framework, though that took a little work initially to get going.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Ideally, I could have gotten my Flutter project up and running in one shot, but it just took a couple of tries to get it hooked up correctly.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like the tailing function that you can the latest logs quickly and easily. The search is really good. There's some other things that the support engineers demonstrated for me that I haven't tried out yet, but I really do like the UI when searching the logs.

  ### 26. Great service for near realtime logging / server logging

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I can easily aggregate logs across environments and applications and get a 360 view of the logs that are generated. I can also filter out specific logged items using exclusion rules to control costs.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Having a web session open all the time - it sometimes loses connectivity between the browser and the logDNA service, so you need to refresh it throughout the day to see new information come in. This makes the blue dot in the browser tab favicon, fairly useless.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

LogDNA is a pretty simple and easy-to-use system. One of the reasons I like it. The focus is to view logs in near real time and they've stuck to that, which I appreciate. I need them for just this, and they are a leader in the space. There are other solutions out there that will "profile and analyze your data using AI", but seriously, that isn't terribly useful if you actually want to triage things. For example, you start seeing a bunch of errors occur, your alerting system alerts you... how is AI going to provide more helpful information than that?? :)

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving the problem of realtime log analysis and triage. Every SaaS company needs insights like this.

  ### 27. Amazing value, great user interface and fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Unlike other centralized logging solutions, LogDNA's service caters for businesses of all sizes due to their initial birch plan only costing $3 a month. Really easy to use and set up.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I can't really think of any downsides, as there's nothing that I can get from another centralized logging solution provider that i don't get from LogDNA

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've setup the LogDNA agent to parse all of the log files that i have on a Digital Ocean droplet, i was surprised to see how often hackers are trying to log into the server using SSH now i've got the visibility. If there's ever a problem that needs looking into, LogDNA is now my first port of call.

  ### 28. Best cost-benefit ratio in any logging provide I have used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Intuitive user interface; helpful support (even on lower tiers); terraform support

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Logs sometimes lag a little behind (although that might be caused by Heroku from where we are ingesting logs)

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility in all application logs

  ### 29. Great way to search/filter/view logs and attach alerts in convenient and easy way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Quick filtering;
searching across different apps;
convenient view of details (pod, namespace, etc);
alerting;

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Moving between dates when search for logs;
select of different log levels sometimes aren't applied

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Just try, and you'll have an experience of the easy, quick, convenient and powerful tool for storing, search and monitoring logs

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy way to find errors; quick search in the past logs; monitoring of logs with convenient alerts

  ### 30. We have been using the services for a few years and are satisfied with what they have delivered.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Simple and easy to use Logging system with search storage and other great functionality

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I do not have any dislikes at this time so there is nothing to add here.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we needed a way to track all our logs and manage them and search etc. LogDNA does it

  ### 31. A good log solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

* Useful filters are available while searching.
* LogDNA has a modern fast web UI.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Nothing that's important to me. I understand that the kubernetes implementation is still being developed.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding problem root causes.

  ### 32. Good value logging platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Good interface for viewing and searching logs, better value than competitors, good slack integration

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Sometimes logs take a while to show up and had to write our own handler to prevent php exceptions going over the 32000 bytes limit.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to monitor the status of our systems from one place

  ### 33. Great Log Aggregator for K8

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Query on the live K8 logs is very helpful. Also the we can filter the logs specific to a deployment.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Missing Platform metrics for Kubernetes.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a log aggregator for our K8 workloads. LogDNA comes in handy with the connectors for k8, which streams the logs in real time and we can query the logs.

  ### 34. Best log management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Live Tail, ORG structure per service/env and quick assistance /response from LogDNA support team.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

They don't have REGEX matching in the live tail and sometimes search returns results even though the string doesn't match with data.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Application downtime by making use of alerting feature.
log Trends/graphs using dashboard feature's .

  ### 35. Awesome UX, great UI and awesome features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gligor G. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like the views you can create your own ones and look only in the logs you need to find where is the problem. And on top it's simple.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I want when I have the option for my account on my device to be remembered, also maybe two-factor authentication would be an improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Best log tool i have used

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly for logs. I am saving time with the views and the filters, when there is a bug.

**Official Response from Braxton Johnston:**

> Hey Gilgor!

Fantastic to hear you are enjoying our intuitive approach to logging! Our team strives to make things as simple as possible for developers like you 🙌

We did want to note that we recently released two-factor authentication for LogDNA. You can find more details on getting it setup at https://docs.logdna.com/docs/user-preferences#two-factor-authentication.

And as always, if you have any questions on getting this working, reach out to our awesome support staff at any time or myself at braxton@logdna.com!

  ### 36. Great for indexing, debugging and monitoring!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio E. | Enterprise Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The ingestion is really easy! we use Elastic Beanstalk (EC2) in AWS, so we just installed an agent and it automatically send all the logs to LogDNA, it also classifies them with server names and environments.
The search functionality is very easy to use also, we use it to debug our application and we can track the use of all our application, find error messages and jump between dates.
We also have some lambdas that are relatively simple in code but are really high usage, so they where good candidates to use use the API and send some metadata and on each log line we can see important data to track the error, developers like so much that feature!.
The other great thing is the boards. When we have big events of high usage we graph all the log messages that we consider successful, warning and errors, so we have a graphical representation of the performance and success rate.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The only thing that I would like it to have, is a way to upload a file manually, some times we have old logs or logs from some test environments. Besides that everything is ok

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have elastic beanstalk servers in different environments (test, stage, prod US, prod Europe) and they have many autoscaling servers inside, so we needed a solution that can consolidate logs from all servers into a single understandable format.
The benefit is just that, we can search all sources in a single interface

  ### 37. hands down best hosted logging service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robby V. | Software Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Real real-time! Dashboards, alerts, json parsing and a modern interface are just some of the key features that I love about LogDNA. I have used many other logging systems and this has provided the best experience that just works.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

No issues to declare. Every time I have ever had a question, it's been answered promptly and thoroughly in a time sensitive manner.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Off-site log shipping has made it possible to diagnose rare critical failures without harvesting logs from several machines. One case specifically a machine was completely lost including all data, we were able to reconstuct what occurred and prevent it in the future and that would not have been possible without LogDNA. Everything is in one place and much faster than other methods of log aggregation.

  ### 38. LogDNA review by Shahar Mor from Peer5

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Logs are available in near real time, UI is responsive and looks good

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Time format in the time filter is not explicit, no autocomplete for known fields like "file", "host", etc

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Production log tracking, alerting based on log events.
Its very easy to use LogDNA for correlating logs from several systems at the same time

  ### 39. LIBAL Deutschland GmbH handling logging with LogDNA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

We have a lot of single-tenant applications and viewing logs from different sources is a pain. With LogDNA and Heroku we are able to have one logging dashboard for all of our apps running on Heroku which helps us to use our resources at our best effort. Also, I never experienced a better way to search in a specific time range.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

It appears that sometimes not all of our apps get loaded in the sources filter of the dashboard. That would be very nice.
It would be very nice if LogDNA would identify stack traces in the logs and if I search for example for "Exception" that the consecutive lines get automatically listed above the generous first error message. I then always search again in the timeframe to see the complete stacktrace of the logging message.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Perfect logging in Heroku infrastructures.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We like the filtering of sources, apps, and log levels from multiple single-tenant applications.
The performance of LogDNA is very good and there is no additional setup when using Jhipster, Heroku, and LogDNA. It just works out of the box, production ready. Like developers want to have infrastructure that just works. The overall access for team members in our heroku account is super easy and does not provide additional effort using a top Log-Management solution. Even junior developers are able to trace errors and get into touch with enterprise logging features and how to use them with no training.

  ### 40. logDNAThe Logging solution I choose

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad K. | Sr.Back end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Simple sdk integration of our nodejs server that is available right away on npmjs , easy searching quires that includes inclusions and exclusions , aws S3 automated data back where the data -after hosting duration ends - will be backed on an aws s3 bucket , customized dashboards in which you may save you filters for quick access , multiple levels of logs that are uniquely represented. and much more.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

In fact I am pleased by logdna but I hope that deeper JSON keys are more supported , sometimes if the query is 4 to 5 levels deep in the json object , logdna fails to get it, but this is a minor thing.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

I highly recommend using LogDNA for storing and analyzing server logs.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

logdna is my eyes on my server , every error is logged in it , most of the bugs solved in fact was spotted on logdna

  ### 41. We send logs. LogDNA parses logs. We can search. (In short: it works)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chip A. | VP of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Simplicity. We send logs (via Aptible). We go and search for those logs when we need to. We had to do minimal setup to make it work. Setting up archiving to S3 was a breeze. (We used to do our own Elasticsearch thing. It was horrible.)

Oh, alerts! It is very useful to get alerted when we have certain types of errors in volume. It has helped us be aware of problems very, very quickly!

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

There are times when there's an ingestion delay (or an indexing delay), and it can be hard to tell where the problem is. It isn't always LogDNA, but sometimes it is. Sometimes it is in our logging system before it gets to LogDNA. But there's no easy way of seeing that.

Because we have a HIPAA-enabled account, support and account management is a little...different. I have access to usage data that the account and support teams don't, even though the aggregate usage data isn't PHI.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best thing is that we built a link from our internal exception reporting which goes to Slack that has a key that we can search on. So, we see an error, click a button in Slack, and we open up LogDNA to the request that had an issue.

We do a little bit of graphing and analysis with LogDNA, but we don't use it extensively. It seems to work pretty well, but we've mostly just used the logging functionality.

  ### 42. Simple yet powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reilly S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA excels at logging. It is not a one-size-fits-all system that tries to do everything. This focus creates a level of simplicity, reliability, and efficiency that is not present in competing tools.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Ideally, there would be tighter integration between the core logging UI and dashboards. Threshold alerts on minimum / maximum counts of log events would also be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

There are a dizzying number of tools to choose from for application monitoring, logging, and instrumentation. Before reaching for shiny new tools, try stretching logging as far as it will go using something like LogDNA.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging (front and back-end) for diagnosis of customer issues and ensuring application health.

  ### 43. Deep analysis and fast search and filter. Great graphs and panels

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Breno U. | Leader Technology Founder of Startup, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

- time view of events help measure how many times an event occurred
- filters are very fast and the range on dates is great
- notifications are a plus but very interesting to keep an eye on a problem that might not be solved
- graphs are gorgeous
- panels help to get a quick overview of important numbers
- ability to filter log lines by tag, server, app and level helps a lot
- automatic parsing of lines according to standard programs

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

- Exclusion Rules are a bit difficult to get right
- I gave up parsing syntax because it was a little complex.
- better parsing to allow to group more lines that are similar or correspond to the same problem
- possibility to hide parts of a line according to parameter ex: hide browser agent from Nginx strings
- it would be nice to have a way to group multiple apps together and view them as a group

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

great way to archive and have fast insight to your logs.
helps debugging problems in production very effectively.
allow you to create panels to keep certain metrics in check.
notifications can help you check if an error occurred.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- live preview of server logs and erros
- archiving of mail server logins
- web server log archiving to s3
- fast debug of lambda connections with web server
- insights on usage of services and improvements

  ### 44. LogDNA is a great logging tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like that is easy to connect with Java applications and that I can create alerts basing on logs.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I like everything in LogDna. Really. It is nice and convinient.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

It is a great and convenient tool.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I investigated lots of logs from distributed Java API, it has all information that I need, including k8s things. Benifits: k8s fields in logs, alerts.

  ### 45. Amazing product that helps us debug issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Easy to use interface, great integration with s3 and other storage providers for archiving logs

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Its cumbersome to use LogDNA with heroku add-on

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us identify issues in our tech real time, and push quick fixes

  ### 46. A good debugging tool for web app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

It's easy to set up and get started; we choose how we wanted, and or what issues we want we want and need to log. The pricing was also reasonable.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The log window font size is small; however, I could rectify this by adjusting the browser font size.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From our research, LogDNA worked well with Heroku, which what we are using for our web app, which exactly what we discovered after we set it up. Additionally, the pricing was reasonable

  ### 47. Amazing UI and Product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The UI is amazing. The search capablities are fantantisc

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Can be a little overwhelming onboarding the first time

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems with our services. LogDNA makes debugging easy

  ### 48. As a startup, it was easy to get going and does what we need.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The search functionality is powerful and was easy to learn how to use.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I think the pricing tiers could make more sense than it does. It is hard to scale up with LogDNA gradually. They make you spend a lot of money for more than seven days of data retention. I think this could get in the way of us growing with them potentially.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed better server-side logging that Sentry couldn't do for us.

  ### 49. Essential Tool for Modern Developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I really enjoy the ease with which i can create a stream and view the logs for multiple applications in one place giving me the ability to search for trace ids, account numbers etc across multiple log sets. Using this tool my ability to troubleshoot support issues, test functionality of new development has increased exponentially. I recommend this tool to anyone who is looking to improve the ability of their team to fulfill requirements in a modern development workshop. Using this product across teams in my organization has also made researching interactions between products and shared infrastructure significantly easier.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

At times it can take a little longer than I like for a stream to load.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using trace ids we have been able to trace single transactions across multiple application logs all from one view sparing us the frustration of searching through individual logs one by one.

  ### 50. Good Log Experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. | Tech Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The UI and look and feel of the system were very welcoming and nice to look at.
Also, the ability to handle saved logs and searches was pretty useful when needing to come back and look for something from a past search.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

IT was very difficult to move around logs when they were massive. Often the platform would crash or it would be difficult to track down similar logs.

The search function was very hard to get around to when working with ate ranges, it would not really work as expected and the dates and you would get results from different dates no matter what range you have chosen. This is actually very important since more often than not, you are required to search for very speific timelines when something occured.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

It is a good product for systems that do not log too much information altogether from different services of the same system. Would recommend using it for small to medium-sized projects with very focused and narrow logs.

The search function overall was not as easy to get around to when trying to understand over the caveats of working with date ranges.

The live data is not very fast so probably would want to make sure that you do not need to get immediate data or sensitive data that needs constant monitoring right away when using this service.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing out of the extraordinary different than any other log systems.
