## Meteomatics Reviews
  ### 1. Meteomatics Service Review – Strengths and Feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prakhyath H. | SVP, Head of Tech and Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Meteomatics?**

The Meteomatics platform is technically solid, capable of handling complex weather and climate data requirements at scale.
Offers an extensive range of global weather, climate, and environmental datasets, making it versatile for multiple industries and regions.
The API is comprehensive, easy to understand, and integrates smoothly into existing workflows. This reduces onboarding time for developers and data teams.
For a large portion of the geographies we worked with, the data quality was high, consistent, and dependable over time.
The platform’s adaptability allows for custom queries and diverse data formats, which is valuable when working with varied client requirements.

**What do you dislike about Meteomatics?**

While the technology is strong, the pricing structure is on the expensive side, which can be a limiting factor for long-term adoption.

Regional data inconsistencies: In some regions, like Mexico, we encountered discrepancies in the data. The Meteomatics team’s support in resolving these issues was limited, leaving us to manage client concerns ourselves — something we believe the service provider should have taken ownership of.

Delayed problem resolution in specific datasets: In the India region, we faced issues with Planet datasets. Only after raising the concern were we informed about the harmonized datasets as a solution. This was a useful discovery but came late in the process.

Need for proactive communication: More advance alerts or guidance about potential dataset issues and recommended alternatives would save time and prevent disruption.

Dedicated or region-aware support could help address localized data problems faster and more effectively.

**What problems is Meteomatics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing high resolution and daily frequency data compared to free providers like sentinel and landsat..

**Official Response from Joana Jaeckel:**

  ### 12. Accurate weather data with helpful support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Maritime | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Meteomatics?**

I've primarily used Meteomatics to pull weather data, and their API is very impressive with the huge amount of data available, and it's all very easy to access. Also their customer support have always been helpful and accommodating whenever I've needed assistance.

**What do you dislike about Meteomatics?**

The only problem I had when requesting data was that the API requires the parameters in the URL to be separated by commas - which is different from the CSV files which use semicolons. This small inconsistency is easily overlooked and can prevent the API call from working. It would be a great if the system could also recognise semicolons in the request URL to help avoid this issue.

**What problems is Meteomatics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our clients often require weather charts so the weather data is used as the data source for these.

**Official Response from Maria Krupinska:**

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Meteomatics?**

Generally very easy to use, fast and complete set of weather parameters, and sufficiently accurate. We employ meteomatics historical data and predictions, especially solar irradiation for prediction crop performance in greenhouse production systems across the globe. Predictions sapflow rates (transpiration) based on the GHI and DHI are generally >90% accurate. Likewise for temperatures, wind direction, and precipitation.

**What do you dislike about Meteomatics?**

Limitations to the number of API calls rather than the amount of data per call forces us to adjust our workflows to avoid optimise the use of the API. Access to historical data up to -1 day is a limitation at times as well.

**What problems is Meteomatics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling greenhouse growers to have insights in expected plant performance based on predicted irradiation and outside weather conditions. This helps to make choices on specific actions and preempt conditions that may lead to crop damage or suboptimal climate steering.

**Official Response from Joana Jaeckel:**

> Thank you for your great feedback! We’re happy to hear our data supports accurate crop performance predictions in greenhouses worldwide. Your input on API call limits and historical data is much appreciated and helps us improve.
Looking forward to continuing the collaboration!
