The Meshy API has been really helpful to me. I've been using it in agentic loops and pipelines to create assets for a game. I'll create a reference sheet for a character, object, or building. Then, I will give Meshy the key image from that reference sheet to generate the model. I tried to do this with open source models before this. The quality is no where near as good as their model. This is true for both high-poly and low-poly meshes. Meshy is speeding up game dev for me immensely! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me personally, the API is great but the UI just has so many buttons and settings. It takes a very long time to use and could use some streamlining. I would try to minimize the number of clicks and time that are required to get to a prototype / low-poly / preview model. A fast pass version of the output would be great to get an idea of which direction the 3D model is going in before you submit for the full generation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
