"If you've built integrations in-house, you know the pain..."
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

First and foremost, Merge saved our startup a ton of money. We had plans to hire 3 full-time engineers to build out integrations with the most popular ATS platforms over 2 quarters, but with Merge one of our existing engineers was able to get us started within a single sprint. It's rare that you find cost-savings and shortened time-to-live in the same vendor.

Secondly, Merge has some of the best customer support in the game. We are certainly not one of their bigger contracts, and yet it feels as though we get year-round, white-glove service. Our technical and support teams can always find someone on the other end of the line to debug issues or plan future work with.

There are very few tools that I recommend in my personal life to friends building companies, but Merge is certainly one of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

There are always issues when managing integrations with third-party platforms, but many times the issues are caused at the source (the downstream services) rather than with Merge. But because Merge is what internal folks see, it's easy for them to get a lot of flak for outages/problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very good and responsive support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Their support team is really fast and attentive. The platform is intuitive and simple to use. I personally work with a lot of integrations and the logs that we get are really handful to understand where issues come from, and the tool it's flexible enough to allow for new fields that aren't available in the main responses. What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

Sometimes it would be nice to know if the services they integrate have changes that might impact in our system. Maybe I'm not aware of a change log, but managing lots of services is challenging and it's difficult to know when they apply breaking changes to their APIs.

Also, sometimes it's a bit hard to look for a specific record by id. For example, sometimes we have issues with the Employee endpoints and it's a bit cumbersome to dig into the responses to search for a specific employee id and its employments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Merge makes complex integrations simple and fast"
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Merge allows us to integrate with hundreds of platforms through a single API, which has saved us countless hours of development work. We can now connect with ATS, CRM, HRIS, and other systems seamlessly, all without building custom integrations for each one. This has drastically shortened our integration timeline and enabled us to provide a much better experience for our customers. Features like auto-provisioning and automated data syncing have also reduced manual tasks, letting our team focus on more impactful work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

While Merge simplifies integration, the initial setup and customization require some time and resources to get everything aligned with our specific requirements.

Once configured, however, it’s very reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great and reliable partnership"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Definitely the support, timely responses, and readiness to troubleshoot and resolve mutual customer issues. The Merge team really does go above and beyond to collaborate with us as a partner as opposed to just offering the software for us to self-serve with. Dashboard is clean, easy to use and offers many features to track usability and troubleshoot any errors. Integration interface is straightforward and user-friendly. API testing access is a huge help to us when it comes to data checks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

The main downside to using a 'middle man' between systems in general is that more complex issues can take a while to troubleshoot and figure out where the issue stems from, but as both RG and Merge have good troubleshooting processes in place, this is usually resolved within a few weeks. "Amazing company solving a really impactful problem"
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Ease of us is definitely a critical piece of why we're successful with Merge. The customer support is just next level with this team as they have clear subject matter experts that help at each step of the way to make it easy to integrate. We love the breadth of their features as well, so we're always thinking through new ways to use the platform (enabling CRM integrations, Analytics, and more). Just AWESOME platform, amazing team, and a must-have solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

Not any downsides to think through at the moment. It's more internally how do we get the most out of Merge, which their team does a great job on sharing guidance on the journey. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful API"
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Documentation is clean, so is the platform and capabilities are added on a regular basis. The team is mostly reactive on our support channel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

For some specific providers we need to define custom logic, it would be great if it was trully 100% unified.

Also there is no way to use different webhook endpoints for Sandbox/Production environment so we need other Merge accounts specifically for our Staging / Dev environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Platform with Excellent Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Merge provides a comprehensive platform that supports nearly everything we need for our HRIS, payroll, and AD integrations. Their technical depth stands out, making complex connections easier to navigate. The standout feature, however, is the team behind the product. The Merge team is friendly, responsive, and consistently helpful, both in answering our questions and unblocking customer issues quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

While the platform is robust, fully setting up integrations for our customers, once they started using it, required more effort than initially expected. Merge’s support helped smooth the process, but it did take time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Happy with product and support"
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

We started using Merge in 2023 and have thousands of linked accounts. Merge's quality has been as good as can be, given the inherently unreliable systems they help integrate with. When there's a bug in the product, we feel confident that we'll get an informed response from their support team and real issues will be fixed relatively soon.

Moreover, for our largest customers that have had security concerns, their support team has hopped on calls with our support team to walk the customer through the process of linking and sharing minimal access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

The standard downsides of Unified APIs - for a few integrations, we had to build custom logic since the standard behavior that Merge provided didn't match customer expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Go viral without coding"
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Merge lets us reach users for all Applicant Tracking Systems and similar products instantly, without writing custom integrations for each Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

Nothing we dislike, but we would like to create integration links with our user's ATS pre-defined so that it feels a bit more like they are in our product versus going through a 3rd part integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great partnership with Merge"
5/5
What do you like best about Merge Unified?

Merge has been instrumental in helping us accelerate our roadmap. We were able to quickly add dozens of HRIS integrations to our product.

The Electric team has thoroughly enjoyed working with Merge. We highly recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Merge Unified?

There are a few more integrations we would love for Merge to add. The team is always collaborative and will work with us to add those integrations, but the main blocker is sandboxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
