I found Modelsim to be better than various other simulators as it gives better control than ISE. I simulated different Verilog designs using it. It has always been my go-to. **What do you like best about Siemens EDA?** It is the lite version of Questasim and provides most of the basic functionality better than other simulators. **What do you dislike about Siemens EDA?** Extended functionalities of QuestaSim are missing. Support for UVM is also not there. Including all these things would be better. **Recommendations to others considering Siemens EDA:** It is suitable for RTL Verification. But if you are looking for UVM support, consider buying QuestaSim. **What problems is Siemens EDA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I did task-based and direct stimulus verification when I was training myself in college time. It was much better a simulator than ISE, in my opinion. It allowed us to integrate Modelsim into ISE, and we can use it as a default simulator. ### 7. Working on it for any sort of verification along with functional or code coverage is a great idea. Although I felt the user interface is little cluttered up for small screen sizes. **What do you like best about Siemens EDA?** Its fast. Much faster than few verification platforms that I have seen. **What do you dislike about Siemens EDA?** Its interface is too cluttered up. It needs some sort of redesign. **What problems is Siemens EDA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am not currently using it, but have used it earlier for rtl verification, functional and code coverage, assertions check, UVM TB design.
