Its flexible and rather easy to use.  Especially the voting features etc.  I can be used in many different settings.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

However I woiuld like to have mer possibilities to format the text in the slide especially in for exemple the 2x2 grid i.e. format the items and also the position on the slide.
In short - better formatting functions

The second imporvement is how to extract data - the data oupurt is some what cumbersome to analyse in different program.  I would lika to be able to have possiblities to adjust how th output should look like.

I would also like to have a live preview - that I can do adjustment and se the resluts live.

I would like to have it incorporated in a powerpoint presentation.  Te solutions today is not good enough - i you import the powerpoint presentation you are lacking the animation done in powerpoinit and the use of the webbased poweerpoint lack some features in poerpoint and not always accessible depend of your companies license.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I use Mentimeter to create knowledge check quizzes that are timed and competitive in my nursing class. It only takes me about an hour to create a ten-question quiz with multiple choice and brief written answer questions, and the platform adds fun for students who tell me they like the graphics. The results provided after the quiz allow me to see which areas students are having the most trouble with. It's very win-win.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

There's no real downside, but I do wish there were more than two methods for writing these types of quizzes, for instance, pick three statements that are correct from these four (you can't toggle more than one right answer in the current version).

I have also used the pulse-check feature with students and that helps me find out where their stress levels are and if they believe they are being taught the right things. This helps me to structure lectures and assignments.

Even as a first time user of the tool, it was very clear what I needed to do to set up my first poll. This went down really well during our webinar and helped us gain some insight into who we had on the call. It was visually appealing, and as we got the majority of delegates participating, I can assume that they found it easy to use too.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

I struggled with the integration with PowerPoint, as I wanted the poll to appear within my slides. That might be because of how our systems are set up, and probably not a Mentimeter problem.

I set up a survey that asked to feedback on the session, and I wanted to include a tickbox to confirm whether or not the comments from the respondent could be used for promotion of future events, but couldn't find a way of doing this.

Mentimeter provide the real time feedback as well as has variety of format to present. Easy to understand. Anonymity feature is also great.

Free plan is very limited. Along with that there should be option for offline mode. Even we cant export the data.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I teach online remote classes, and some students don't speak up in the discussions. The reasons vary from a fear of being incorrect in front of classmates to a lack of confidence in English. 

Mentimeter is a bridge that students are willing to cross without fear. The anonymity makes it easier for them to contribute. The variety of options, ranging from Wordcloud to open-ended questions, increases my options to engage students. The ready-to-use templates are a valuable addition.

Interactive and editing options also come in handy to add more flavours to the mix.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

There isn't anything to dislike, but there is always a scope for improvement, and that is what I would like to share.

Presenting to  MS Teams option is helpful, but it would be great if other remote classroom tools, such as Zoom, etc. could be included. In the future, having a direct link and sync option with the LMS, such as D2L Brightspace, will also be extremely helpful.

**What problems is Mentimeter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mentimeter gives a voice to students who would otherwise be reluctant to share their thoughts. It benefits me immensely as my courses are mostly taken by international students in synchronous remote mode of delivery. Online classes can become dull and boring without student engagement and participations. Mentimeter prevents it.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I find Mentimeter incredibly useful for enhancing classroom engagement. I love how it allows me to seamlessly add additional slides or links, like videos, to existing presentations, which keeps my students engaged. The straightforward setup and the ability for students to participate actively in lectures with real-time responses are invaluable. The capability to link to online sources within presentations further enriches the educational experience. I also admire Mentimeter’s ability to create a participatory environment, making lectures more interactive and engaging for both lecturers and students. The collective participation in the educational process enriches both teaching and learning, making it a tool I would gladly recommend. I have indeed recommended Mentimeter to others and would rate my likelihood of further recommendations as a ten out of ten.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

I think if I could actually add text or overlay into an imported PowerPoint slide, it would be really helpful. Right now, I'm just adding another slide right behind it or before it to change or amend what's in the existing file.

I use Mentimeter to add to existing presentations, engage students during lectures, and create a participatory environment. Its features allow linking online sources and engaging students improves their involvement in my criminology classes.

The platform offers a wide variety of question types, making it easy to create questions. I also find the interface intuitive and user-friendly.

I would really appreciate it if subscripts and superscripts were included, as they are essential for chemistry.

I particularly like how accessible it is for participants. They can join and respond on any device using just a code, no sign-up needed.The different question types, like the Word Clouds and live Q&A, make it a breeze to instantly see what people are thinking and to check if they're actually following along.

I wish there were more options to customize the mentimeter slides.

The huge benefit for me is that it flips the script: my audience goes from sitting quietly to being active, engaged participants. I can instantly check if they "get it" or what they're thinking, which lets me tweak my talk right then and there.

I appreciate Mentimeter's ease of use in facilitating quick student participation. The QR code generation and menti.com plus number option enhance accessibility, allowing students to join effortlessly. I find the diverse prompt types, especially open questions and word clouds, valuable for engaging classroom activities. Additionally, the ability to archive and share session results as PDFs is extremely useful for tracking and reference.

Many users want to embed their Mentimeter slides directly into PowerPoint presentations, but the integration is not smooth and tends to be a struggle, causing us to switch between separate applications during sessions.","When importing slides from other platforms into Mentimeter, they become uneditable. This lack of editability in Mentimeter requires additional steps if I need to make changes, such as revising text. **What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

Amazing way to interact with the audience and engage with students, especially in the Nordic context. It is very hard to encourage the students to talk during class/express their feelings. Mentimeter facilitates that. I am especially enjoying the anonymous Q&A feature: students feel safe and confident to ask questions this way. Polls are useful. LaTeX code support should be an industry standard and Mentimeter has it - well done!
I am not really working much with response analysis after the presentations but those interested will appreciate easy access and provided data.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

Sadly, sometimes the software feels a bit "raw" and unpolished. It would be fine for a beta version distributed for testing but not for an end product. Here is my list of negatives:
- Fields within bullet slides are limited to 140 symbols. Why? The text scales well and at 140 symbols you will have 1 word on the second line but the rest of the line cannot be used. I found a workaround to bypass the character limit but won't share it so it can't be patched.
- Same applies to "Quote" slide symbol limit. Why??? I want to use lengthy quotes sometimes.
- No table integration. If you are solving a Finance exercise and want to include a table with calculations, well, tough luck. Best you can do is paste screenshots like it's 2002. Seems like a major oversight.
- Export to PDF is ridiculous, it just converts everything to images! Selectable text, links in the presentation - everything is lost on export. I like posting the slides for my students to be able to check, but with Menti export it doesn't work! They just get a PDF with slide images, even search doesn't work!
- Some scaling issues: instead of a dynamic scale there is a discrete cutoff. At 4 bullets the text will be huge, at 5 bullets it is tiny with nothing in between.
- Very poor image handling! You can't add multiple images to a slide like in beamer-LaTeX or in (pardon me) Microsoft PowerPoint. And even when you add a single image, you can't adjust positioning or scaling, there are several presets which are all rather poor.
- Building on the previous point, there is no slide constructor. There are some templates but in general you can't have, say, a text box or a quote and then some bullet points. You can't combine different slide types and techniques. 
- Multiple other minor bugs and inconveniences not worth mentioning in detail - if devs are reading please reach out to me.
All these negatives don't cancel the fact that Mentimeter is a useful tool. I just wish it was possible to fix those issues and add some QoL features to make it actually pleasant to use.

The support team is nice but I don't feel like the developer team actively focuses on feedback. Some of the features I mentioned (like proper PDF export) have been requested for years with no real changes. If Mentimeter wants to become an industry leader, they really need to listen to the users and accelerate development to not fall behind compared to competitors. As a frequent user of Mentimeter (at a very serious level), it pains me that most of the feedback feels ignored. Hopefully, this review is a step in the right direction. Again, I am personally very open to talk with developers at any time, please don't hesitate to contact me.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I use Mentimeter on our monthly team calls.  It's a great tool to warm the group up and put everyone in a place to contribute to the remainder of the meeting.  

Some months I leverage the templates and pre-built slides provided by Menti.  Other months I build a quick deck with custom or team-specific questions.  Both methods are super straightforward and require minimal effort (but create maximum fun).

For us, it leads in to fun conversation and chatter during what would otherwise be dead time.  I've leverated multiple choice, word cloud and open ended questions- all with great results.

I often export the results and drop them in team slack- it's fun to have!

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

I really don't have anything negative to say about Menti.  It's easy to use from both Admin and end user perspective.

If I HAD to complain- I don't love switching between a Google Slides Deck and the Menti Presentation.  I do know there's an integration option- I haven't explored this, believe it's part of paid plan.

We have a team of introverts.  This tool gives some guidance for participation and encourages conversation as we kick off meetings.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I love that participants don't need to set up a login---or even click on a link---to access. My users also appreciate that their contributions are anonymous. It's much more phone-friendly than other interactive tools I've tried, and the learning curve is fast. I'm using it to replace Jamboard, and it's much simpler to implement and navigate than other replacements I'm experimenting with (like Figjam, which has a lot of features). I also like that I can reuse the access code to return to the board for 14 days. I can also see how it would be easy to merge a Mentimeter deck with my existing informational slides, and I like that I can implement different types of interactions  (answer, poll, wordcloud)  from the same slidedeck

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

Sometimes I like to have small groups working on different slides simultaneously, and I'm not Mentimeter has this capability, at least not within the same slidedeck.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I love using Mentimeter to receive feedback about my presentations, but also to get a bit of background info on our Trainees. I can ask creative questions, not just "Rate this on a scale from 1-5" but also let them brainstorm and write a bit about themselves. The tools offer a lot of options, no matter if you are looking for answers from just one person at a time or a big crowd. The new AI tools also seem very impressive and make reviewing your feedback easy and exciting.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

I wish I had more options on the designs of my slides. Maybe that will come with the Premium version as I am just using the free one at the moment, but I do find the available options a bit repetetive after a while.

**What problems is Mentimeter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever I would like feedback and I just hand people a piece of paper or ask them face-to-face, I feel like I would never receive authentic answers. Either people are way too nice, too lazy to go into detail or are afraid that their answer might hurt my feelings and affect our relationship. With Menti, the anwers are anonymous and I can let people write their own thoughts. Also, asking questions on certain parts of my presentation makes the feedback more helpful for me, while people don't have to think of what to write themselves.  It's easy and to the point, all while being more entertaining than a simple feeback sheet on paper.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

What I liked the best about Mentimeter is that I can reach younger students who are tech oriented. The results, gifs, graphics, and embedded videos are incorporating a learning style that fits what they grew up with. As an educator, it is important to modify our teaching styles to fit students. The timet er nails it in that regard. I also appreciate that introverted students are able to participate in class allowing them to overcome their social anxiety by showing them privately that they know the material and should feel confident in their answers.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

It was less intuitive to figure out how to download the slides. I wish I could have an option to download everything as a pdf AND ppt. I also think it would be interesting if the AI was able to automatically translate my text on the student's devices. So those who are contending with language barriers can understand the material.

**What problems is Mentimeter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mentimeter solved my problem engaging Gen Z and Gen Alpha students evolving learning styles. Younger generations in particular are learning through platforms like TikTok and taking quizzes. Mentimeter allows me to build content that fits with this new way of learning. A way that clicks with them.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

Menti really helps keep my presentations engaging. It is beneficial with larger groups where it is difficult to get them up and talking and sharing ideas with each other, as I can ask open-response questions through Menti and let them share that way.

It is also great in smaller groups, as I often plan times for them to get up and physically engage with each other. However, there are people who are not comfortable speaking up in group work and discussions like that, so Menti provides a safe place for them to share ideas and ask questions without anyone knowing it is them.

I have also enjoyed that with Menti, I can go back and create great documents capturing ideas and suggestions and responding to questions, which can be sent out as follow-up to presentations.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

I have not found any challenges yet. It has provided everything that I am looking for.

Menti is giving me another opportunity to increase engagement, increase opportunities to respond, and to give everyone a voice.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

Mentimeter is easy to use with my college students, who are attached to their phones or laptops. The QR code scan or accessing with the code at the top of the screen are easy to use and work well as long as you have internet access. 

I've used it in smaller settings to get a sense of audience opinions or needs, I like the word cloud feature for revealing shared language use and understanding, the comment function for people to share in their own words (and I just used the "identify themes" feature so I didn't have to group responses on the fly - a little glitchy with similar comments appearing for different themes, but overall a big help).

As a department, we've used menti in faculty meetings to mix things up and anonymously gauge ideas in the room - it's great for non-judgemental brainstorming sessions! 
In classes, I've used it as "content check-ins", where students anonymously reply and I can get a sense of what assigned materials they understood or not. It also helps collect their thoughts on where to focus our time, or types of examples I can bring in to lecture. 

Overall, this has been an easy and affordable technology for me to adopt, it's been easy to integrate and implement in class, adding an interactive element in a space that's difficult to move around. I like that I was able to test the slides/questions with my teaching team before using it in class, and then simply reset so that the results weren't scewed with the earlier use. 

Overall, a worthwhile addition to my college classroom!

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

Thus far I've only found small issues, using it with my college lecture of 68 students. FYI, for more than 50 students, you need to subscribe, so my department covers it as part of my teaching tools. 

On the sign-up slide, I want the sign-in code to be BIGGER. It's difficult to see from across the room. 

Rather then 12 people writing the same answer, I'd like them to up-vote the first time a person wrote it rather than crowding the screen with the same answer (BUT, i just used the "identify themes" feature with helped with that - a little glitchy with similar comments appearing for different themes, but overall a big help)

If adding the QR code to later slides (and not only the sign-in slide), it covers slide content. 

I can't figure out what the "thumbs up" is doing - students are using it, but it doesn't seem attached to particular comments, only the slide itself

I can't determine when the word cloud function will count a phrase "process of communication"  as ONE word, or THREE. It seems to vary

Like I said, small issues and ones I can work around!

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I like being able to tell people they DO need to use their cellphones for this (because they're programmed to be told to put those things away and then surreptitiously keep them open for texting and other distractions). I like their phones being co-opted with the screen on their phone. It's easy to use and develop for me as a facilitator, as well as participants. I've never had a single complaint after having hundreds now participate. It's easy to upload a previously created slidedeck, and then being able to give the results of their responses back to the team is a value-add. I use it with groups of 10 and upwards of 100.

I really enjoy it. It's the best at this interactive presentation software I've used. Like anything there's always a learning curve when you try something new.

I love that it gives participants options. Some participants are not willing to share because they are shy or fear their comments or questions will be harshly judged. It gives them the ability to share their ideas and see the ideas and questions from their colleagues. They realize it is a safe place to share and the interactive component allows for sharing of ideas. I also love the ability to control the presentation from my phone when going from slide to slide and the notes feature at the palm of my hand.

I don't see a downside. It has been well received and allows for a lot of participation.

I like being able to easily create interactive presentations for my team that engage the audience and that I can collect the results about after the presentation.  I've used these presentations many times as quizzes for my team to not only increase engagement but also identify knowledge gaps to help inform what training the team would benefit from. 
My team's favourite part is watching where they and others fall in the leadership board after each question.

There are not many things I don't like about Mentimeter, the only downside is maybe the cost of having more participants, though I have never run out for my department meetings (once per month), I would like to use it for my weekly meetings as well but I would exceed the number of free participants so I use another app for the weekly meetings and save Menti for bigger ones.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

I love the way mentimeter shows the results in realtime, it helps to show instantly what people think, and takes away the having to chase up for feedback or getting poor feedback after events if left to people to send feedback. If you run presentation mode and gather that feedback in the moment, you get the pure unfiltered truth which is hat you want when it comes to feedback

It is easy to use and easy to implement and no time at all to create an account an instantly start to build your surveys or feedback forms.

You ahve a history of activity and can download the results to have a mechanism to show growth in the feedback and where you can improve, so you can implement those changes.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

Dislike is a strong word, I would say with any tool there could be refinements, As soem of the menu structures seem to be in places that would not be obvious. Adding in some AI elements would be good

It helps us to quickly deploy surveys that give us realtime feedback on events, releases and product reviews that makes it easier to understand how we are doing in a given moment. It is easy to spring up a survey in no time at all, this is very useful when we need to get some instant feedback

I like the interactive features and the clean layout.  It simplifies the process and makes it funj for students.  I found my students are more engaged when the presentation has interactive features that are on their computer.

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

It is not as flexible as powerpoint or google slides, so I can't create slides with all the designs or images I want.  However, I am still learning Mentimeter, so I may find better ways to do this in the future.  I know there is compatability with PowerPoint, so I will try to look more into it.

My porblem is 8th graders don't have a long attention span, so menti presentations help keep them engaged.  It also helps me assess if students are understanding the material through formative assessment questions built into the presentation.

- I was able to reuse the created Mentis multiple times and results are available in excel for each instances.
- Integration with MS Teams is an amazing feature
- Corporate accont integration
- Quick and self learnable

- Felt very limited with the free account, but eventually once I enabled paid version on my corporate account then was able to unlleash the full benefits.
- While the MS Teams integration feature is great, but people mentioned they cannot see the barcore or the menti code on the screen, hence had to put the code manually in the chat everytime.

Excellent for Ice-breaking, engagement activities and quizzes.
Word cloud feature really helps in gathering key inputs from the crowd.

It allowed a way to include equally both in person and online participants in training, and kept participants more engaged and awake than usual!  I had many team members comment on how much they liked this too.  I love the report out at the end, so I have record of the team's feedback and answers.  This can be a great tool for internal research!

**What do you dislike about Mentimeter?**

With the free version, it's a little awkward to toggle between power point and menti (we did not build our entire presentation in Menti).  As with anything, there is a bit of a learning curve.  I wanted to compare our results in a power point presentation side by side to state wide and nationwide results, but was unable to do so (I think this is possible wiht a paid subscription)

Integrating our remote team members into our team meetings (predominantly in person) in an equitable and interesting way.  It kept members engaged and awake.  It provided quick and valuable feedback to poll the audience.  It also engaged audience interest in seeing the feedback from their peers as well.

I feel that the best thing about Mentimeter is that it encourages all students to participate without fear of failure in front of their peers.  When designing the interactivity, the online help is extremely useful and almost immediate.  This gives me great confidence that I will be able to make the technology work.

The only downside that I can think of is that I always create my slides in PowerPoint and then import them.  The reason for this is that there is not enough flexibility in size and positioning of typing.  Also it is hard to manipulate photos within a screen.

I like using Mentimeter because of its simplicity and ease of use. The ability to choose the slide type (multichoice, poll, open ended, and so on) for each type of question or for your own use. The live interactivity is great and my colleagues love it. I usually use Mentimeter presentations when I do live webinars to over 100 people, it is a great way to engage them all at once with a simple qr code.

**What do you like best about Mentimeter?**

Working with teenagers can sometimes be lonely, especially in group settings as they are less likey to answer questions or engage in debates verbally due to peer embarressment. This can sometimes leave a presenation/ meeting with the speaker in a wall of silence.  However, with Menimeter you can ask questions and few responses live on screen. This allows interaction to occur in a virtual sense which then seems to build the confidence needed to see live on screen that their opinions do count and they do have peers with similar feelings. Before you kn ow it everyone is talking and adding to the discussions. A great aid allowing us adults to form a conncetion with teenagers in their preferred setting, vitually.

I cannot find any negatives to mentimeter, i would highly recommend.
