## Mendix Reviews
  ### 1. Empowers Collaboration and Streamlines Processes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dixit K. | Quality Assurance Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Mendix?**

I like that Mendix helps turn business processes managed through emails and spreadsheets into structured digital workflows that are much easier to track, test, and improve. I appreciate how Mendix reduces the disconnect in understanding among business teams, developers, and QA by making the process visible to everyone, allowing me to spend less time on figuring out application requirements and more on validation. I love that Mendix makes software feel less mysterious by allowing me to trace flows and understand the logic behind issues quickly without digging through layers of code. I enjoy how it shifts bug discussions from merely locating issues to more productive conversations about process behavior, saving valuable time over numerous issues. Mendix enhances productivity by enabling me to connect bugs directly to business steps, improving conversations and making them more contextually relevant. It stands out in providing visibility and promoting collaboration, which is crucial when different teams depend on the same application.

**What do you dislike about Mendix?**

As applications grow over time, some flows can become so well-connected that understanding the full impact of a small change takes more effort than expected. The platform makes building things easy, but keeping years of enhancements equally easy is a different challenge. Sometimes I find myself spending more time understanding decisions made months ago than testing the new change itself. One improvement I'd appreciate is the ability to see the history behind a flow, not just who changed it, but why it was changed. In long-running projects, the hardest part is often understanding the reasoning behind an enhancement made a year ago.

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Mendix to convert manual processes into structured workflows, reducing misunderstanding between teams. It makes software less mysterious, eases issue tracing, and enhances discussions without diving into code. Mendix saves time by simplifying bug discussions and connecting specific steps to business impacts.

  ### 2. Mendix Makes Low-Code Front-End Development Fast and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Mendix?**

Mendix makes front-end app development very easy. Its low-code capabilities are easy to learn and simple to use. Apps are straightforward to build and enhance, which makes it easier to develop new applications over time. It also has predefined connectors, making it simpler to bring in data from multiple sources and build apps that can work with more than one data source.

**What do you dislike about Mendix?**

While the connectors make it easy to connect to other platforms, Mendix developers still need a solid understanding of the target systems. Otherwise, they risk building apps that run into roadblocks because they don’t fully understand how the end system is supposed to work.

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We built a configurator app that helps sales personnel model products on the fly, so they can quickly verify viability, refine the configuration further, and then handoff to engineering to move on to building it. As a result, we can deliver solutions faster and respond more effectively to customer requirements.

  ### 3. Efficient for Teamcenter, Needs Better Weight Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter e. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Mendix?**

I really like the color chart report that Mendix prepares. It's essential for MBOM preparation, and Mendix makes it easier by storing the report and even allowing us to download it for day-to-day use. The integration with Teamcenter also made the initial setup quite simple.

**What do you dislike about Mendix?**

I find the weight management confusing and it doesn't work most of the time. I believe weight management for assembly files should operate at the top level, enabling it to fetch weights for other assemblies at lower levels.

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Mendix streamlines data updates from PLM to Teamcenter, enhancing my team's efficiency. It simplifies my MBOM preparation with essential color chart reports that I can easily store and download for daily use.

  ### 4. Fast Development, Needs Better Integration

**What do you like best about Mendix?**

I use Mendix for creating lightweight apps on top of Teamcenter and other apps. I appreciate that it allows for faster development and easier learning, which makes the process much more efficient. The easy learning curve and fast integration are standout features for me, helping in quicker deployment and reducing the need for prototypes. These aspects make Mendix a valuable tool in my toolkit.

**What do you dislike about Mendix?**

I find that integrations with other apps like SAP and custom applications could be improved. The PLM landscape always includes ERP/SAP, so having better integration with that would help.

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mendix offers faster development and easier learning, leading to quick deployment and fewer prototypes.

I like that Mendix allows me to create an app with less code, which makes development easier. The predefined menus and commands are really helpful, and the drag and drop feature lets me create applications quickly. It's very easy to set up Mendix, which is a big plus for me.

  ### 8. Rapid Development, Intuitive Yet Lacks Source Control, some UI components and generative AI

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Mendix?**

I really appreciate Mendix for its rapid application development which lets us deliver solutions faster than regular coding. It has a lot of functionality straight out of the box, allowing me to build nice back-ends and front-ends without much coding. The learning curve is also very low. Someone tech savy can get to professional level in less then a year. The initial setup was very easy, just running the exit, and that's it. I find Mendix very intuitive, which makes me very likely to recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Mendix?**

I think for larger teams, the source control is a bit lacking. There's a lot of git features missing. It's also annoying that I need to download a project for each branch. Reviewing code is also very difficult because changes don't show in the history. Only the files modified are listed. There are also some front end componenet missing. There are other tools like Unity game engine that provide more intuitive way to build UI (anchors and stretching), rather then containers and layout grids. Some bootstrap classes should also be avalable in the UI.

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Mendix for rapid application development, allowing us to deliver solutions faster than regular coding. It has functionality straight out of the box, saving time on projects and making it easy to build nice back ends and front ends.

**Reviewed by:** Furkan H. | Project Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Mendix?**

I like that with Mendix, I can start developing an app really fast, and it makes creating features easier since there's no need to write a lot of code. I also appreciate the ability to reuse my deployments either in a new app or the same app on a different page. It's beneficial to me as a developer. Creating a team and sharing development projects with teammates is great, as they can support and contribute to my projects. I find Mendix's AI assistant, Maya, very useful because I don't have to search for things on the internet; I can just ask Maya for opinions and advice on developing features. It's valuable for me this way.

**What do you dislike about Mendix?**

I find it challenging that Mendix doesn't offer more support for the Turkey community. More localized support could make it easier for me to develop apps.

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What problems is Mendix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm predominantly solving business problems for client organizations. What we typically see is where an organization will typically or actually have a spreadsheet to administer some information, manage it and draw insights from it. We can do it better, more effectively and more user friendly than a canvas of rows, columns and cells. This is benefitting me in the sense that I get to solve these issues.
