"Fairly easy to use for a novice web developer"
4/5
What do you like best about MemberPress?

I recently started building my membership site with MemberPress. The

video course has been helpful in getting things up and running. I would

love additional courses that build upon the basic course and improve

customer usability and troubleshooting tips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberPress?

I am still in the early stages of building my membership site. So far, the only issue I've encountered was locking out my test login user/password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and simple, and highly versatile!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MemberPress?

Create multiple membership levels and plans, lock content behind membership, and easily integrate with other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberPress?

Rules work a little weirdly compared to other membership plugins. Coupons and trials don't work the way I'd like them to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good idea but not at all user friendly."
1/5
What do you like best about MemberPress?

The idea of it is great - we need a system to organize our members and allow them to log in to our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberPress?

It is not at all user friendly - you will definitely need a programmer to help implement this and make it work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not as good as I thought"

What do you like best about MemberPress?

1. The price!

2. You can do Courses +Membership all in one place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberPress?

1. I have used Podia, Thinkific and compared to those, you do need to spend some time to figure things out and educate yourself.

At the moment, they do not have video tutorials or walkthroughs. All their resources are text-based AND VERY general. So get ready, especially if you know basic to no coding.

2. No live chat or customer service line to call. If you run into a problem, the only way to solve it is to submit a ticket and wait for them to respond to you via Email. They are usually quick to respond. But sometimes, you have to send 5-10 Emails back and forth to get an issue resolved. And they are not all helpful if you have more of an in-depth issue. There is only one girl named Amanda, who has been really helpful and goes above and beyond to help you solve the problem. The rest seem like wanting to clear their inbox rather than providing support.

3. They rely on hiring a developer. I do think that many people end up hiring an expert to set things up, and that is why they don't have legit resources for people with general knowledge. I checked the rates, and to be honest, you might save more if you go with a course builder websites.

4. They sell this plugin as "easy to set up." As a person with general knowledge, I can assure you that this is not true. I have faced many technical issues in the process, and I am not close to being done! This plugin has been the most complex plugin I have ever got. When I reached out to hire someone on Memberfix, they agreed with me and said "MemberPress is a big piece of tech" That is their exact word in parenthesis! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accelerated our startup growth 10x"
5/5
What do you like best about MemberPress?

A pretty simple recipe to get started. Customizable for multiple business categories but a strong focus on selling courses/communities. Built-in content protection, multiple payment integrations, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberPress?

We are 18 months in and have grown to 40,000+ members. MP handled most of what we through at it. The recommended integrations are mostly third-party, and you end up leaning heavily on them (increasing the pricing). Our biggest complaint at the moment is around a more robust checkout experience (ab testing, multiple subscription bundling, one-time physical good sales). Having a very hard time solving these challenges, but we are still happy with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"For Memberships on Wordpress use this!"
5/5
What do you like best about MemberPress?

Easy to use. Memberpress is simple, right out of the box. Set up your pages, use memberpress to protect them. The only way it could be simpler is if Memberpress made you a coffee in the middle of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberPress?

I'm finding it hard to write anything. Their service was awesome (we had questions on features and had replies within 10 hours), they're constantly adding features, like their new Courses options, and the forthcoming Quiz options. The plug in to just about every mailer, payment system and have a great affiliate system to let you sell your products through affiliates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
