The biggest thing is the lack of analytics. It is SO hard to know who your members are, what team members are there, what are the trends. Having a clear dashboard with downloadable reports would be so useful. Even being able to segment by date. I don't understand why I need to download ALL my members everytime I want to analyze data. I wish I could just select the last week, or month, or quarter. Instead of pulling five years of data. Member full bills monthly for the services taking away the stress of needing to do it separately. Set up is quick and easy for my customers and allows them to control thier accounts as well. Memberful allows us to set up paid plans to allow our most dedicated fans to pay for ad-free podcast feeds and bonus podcast feeds with exclusive content. One of the most popular features turned out to be our members-only Discord server where the fans can talk amongst themselves (and our podcast hosts and staff).

We've only experienced two downsides to Memberful...and they're fairly minor. 1) By offering paid subscriptions, we've occasionally had to do some user support to people who are confused and claim to still get ads (when they haven't actually signed up to the new ad-free feeds available to them via Memberful...even though they've got the instructions on how to do so) 2) We have video podcasts and people occasionally hit subscription options which are audio-only (like Google Podcasts) and tell us it's "broken"...so we have to tell them to try one of the podcast apps that supports video if they want to subscribe to our video podcast feeds. Overall, my experience with Memberful has been extremely positive. I have had great interactions with customer service over the last three years. They are polite and help me problem solve issues or questions that may arise. I love that I can protect content on my website as well as make downloads only accessible to my paid members. Memberful must continue to expand its connections with other platforms. For example, adding email service provider SendFox is something I have requested to both companies. Recently I found out that at the Premium level you have a 2GB limit for ALL of your downloads. This was a bit alarming to me as we produce a large amount of content each month and as a customer that is paying for the highest tier I think we should have much more space available to us. The collection of the membership money is fine but the ongoing hassle with the inability of admin to reset user emails is INFURIATING!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have had the following problem with Memberful for years and the owners of the service refuse to address it, and it is absolutely infuriating. They do not allow me as an admin to do a password reset for any of the members for so-called security reasons. But what actually happens is the user cannot do a password reset on their own because the system is clunky, for the reset email ends up in the user's spam folder, and they don’t have the means to access it, so I ultimately have to refund members on an ongoing basis because of this issue. Memberful has built their system so that an admin cannot change or see a user's password. All I can do is send an email reset email to the member, but this is 100% useless if that email never reaches the member .. as it leaves me with the only option of refunding their money and losing them as a customer. I have discussed this numerous times with the developers of Memberful and they have never once come even close to addressing the issue. I am locked in with these guys just because I set up with them from the beginning but honestly, I would not continue using them if I had a chance, and I do not recommend their service.
