We have just started using it in our test environment of Salesforce and it seems pretty easy to install. While the type ahead feature doesn't include international addresses in the way that Google does, we were most interested in the cell phone and email validations to prevent dupes with bad data. We use Melissa on-prem solutions because speed is super important for us. We reviewed other leading address standardization services and Melissa beat them hands-down. Melissa in-network respnse times are in the single digit milliseconds consistently. Their api is easy to work with. We get a lot of actionable information about addresses, phones, and emails. Only one quibble: lack of a test database. We regression test every code change, multiple times a day. It would be great to have a mini-sized db to test the interface against instead of having to download and image the entire multi-gigabyte database for every test run. I have used Melissa Products for data validation and data quality management. Their product has good address verification, name parsing, and verification of accuracy across more data sets. I did like applying this in cleaning big datasets, which enhanced overall integrity and reduced the processing errors for us. The adaptability, as far as integration with other tools, was good as well. Overall, the solution provided by Melissa Products ensured our systems were kept with high-quality data. One thing that might need a little more work with Melissa Global Address Verification is non-standard/rural addresses, which sometimes do not get completely verified. Also, while the integration is generally seamless, accessing and setting up some of the advanced features does take some time and learning, at least for the first time.
