Mektu is a desktop email management app for Linux and Windows, designed for task extraction and inbox organization. It categorizes incoming emails into tabs like Primary, Newsletter, Notification, and Invoice, adapting to user habits over time. Mektu identifies actionable items, due dates, and responsible parties in email threads, suggesting tasks or calendar events for approval. Its context panel shows past correspondence, shared files, meetings, and related topics alongside open emails. Features include email snoozing, send undo, scheduled sending, and follow-up reminders. The app extracts requests from lengthy threads and converts them into tasks or events with one click. AI tools offer email summarization, translation, and natural language querying, with user consent and transparent explanations. Privacy features block tracking pixels and reveal senders attempting to track opens. Mektu ensures users retain control by never deleting emails automatically.
