Here are the undisputed facts of my interaction with Mind Meister – - My company has been a customer of Mind Meister since March 2021 and a spent $2,227 during that period - On April 19, 2024 at 5:00pm I received an email saying they charged $419 for a subscription renewal for 4 users and 6 month term - At 5:01pm I received another email offering savings if I subscribed for a year instead of 6 months - At 6:08pm I shared that our team hasn’t used Mind Meister at all other than me and I requested a refund for the 3 other licenses and said I was happy to renew my single license for a year - Their response “I'm sorry to say that I cannot issue a refund in this case. As outlined at the time of purchase, selecting a billing period when purchasing a license causes your plan to renew automatically by default” - I said that I have been a loyal customer and thought they issued notifications BEFORE a subscription renews like most companies since it is the law in most states - Their response “I am sorry that you feel this way, but we notify our users about the automatic license renewal not only at the time of purchase but also in our terms & conditions and email invoices.” You can decide if you want to work with a company that retains their loyal, multi-year customers by referencing ‘fine print’ in terms & conditions that no one can keep up with when they have over 30 different vendors and software providers. I have used the tool for brainstorming with my team(It's also super fun), creating lessons for kids, class syllabus/learning journey, and even a story board! Mindmeister is very flexible and there's a lot of scope for creative use. **What do you dislike about MindMeister?** In terms of features, I have no complaints. They are also testing the new Panda update. Everything looks fantastic so far. I have an education subscription with Mindmeister and Meistertask. Now they have also introduced Notes. The tool for presentations that helps to navigate in the diagram is very useful. It’s such a fresh software that makes everyone feel open to share ideas. Mindmapping is such a necessary part that is involved in the process-making of every project, and this is a software that involves the sharing of ideas and combines it with the task management part of it. I feel that MindMeister offers good collaboration tools that are complete and interactive, which means that everyone can participate, have their opinions and share them with everyone else. For example, when we need to create something that involves a person from another department, we can easily share with them the thought process and they can evaluate it before we proceed to do anything else. There is also the fact that this is a cloud-based software and I can access to every mind map wherever I am and edit it right there. **What do you dislike about MindMeister?** The functionality of the mobile app is not at the same level as the web app. **Recommendations to others considering MindMeister:** I think that this is a software which price ranges are not too high and would serve a great purpose for everyone’s projects. **What problems is MindMeister solving and how is that benefiting you?** I think MindMeister has helped us find a place where we can all gather to share our ideas. Mindmapping is something that I enjoy doing and believe it’s a helpful thing that can improve significantly the result of a product. Because of that, this software has helped me to visualize these projects with my team. The integrations are amazing and I think combining it with task management was a smart move since now we are able to keep track of everything. It really works well as a planner for all my work. They have a generous free plan that allows you up to 3 mindmaps. I like how easy it is to create a visual representation of a dialogue and then playing it in Presentation mode for my customers so they can see visually how their customers will interact with their content. Miindmeister is also perfect for ongoing documentation of a dialogue flow as you make changes. **What do you dislike about MindMeister?** I don't see a down side of using it. I do wish it could 'crawl' through my bot automatically and document it. **Recommendations to others considering MindMeister:** If you're looking for a tool to quickly and easily document your Chatbot, you found it! **What problems is MindMeister solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been able to use it to visually show clients how their customers interact with their Chatbot. Organize and arrange maps easily - even create submaps with links back to the top. It works with Microsoft Teams. The paid version offered the ability to export to PDF. **What do you dislike about MindMeister?** Resizing images cab be tricky as the edges are tough to grasp, the interface could be more visually appealing but the functionality is most important. Printing large maps on a single sheet is tougher than it needs to be. There is no free license for educational institutions or schools. The more complex your mind map is the more difficult it is to work with it. There is no desktop version. **Recommendations to others considering MindMeister:** It is a very easy program to use. The visual aspect makes organizing a breeze. It may overwhelm some people with the mapping and amount of things to see. Sometimes you have to take a step back to appreciate it. Since the free version does offer three maps I would suggest you try it out before spending your hard earned cash. The system can help anyone take an idea and create a plan and then make it reality. **What problems is MindMeister solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sharing process is more difficult than it needs to be. The system has made planning more visual and allows user the ability to view things more quickly. Eventually the cost was more than what we wanted to pay. If you put in a deadline, MindMeister reminds you that you need to do something through an email. Super convenient. **What do you dislike about MindMeister?** Although MindMeister says reminder emails, I sometimes forget to log back in to update that I have completed a given task.
