The most helpfull feature of Megaventory is the ability to fully integrate your sales and manufacturing business with minimum infrastructure. Everything is cloud based and all you need is to learn the system and apply it to your business. Once you understand the system and how you can configure it, you will understand how it beats large ERP systems that requires professional staff and consultants to make updates and run testing. Megaventory has great customer service, the founders(Kostis) will respond to difficult questions and they are very honest and straightforward. Megaventory is a great solution for certain companies. There is a gap between using excel sheets and moving everything to a full scale ERP system and Megaventory is the perfect middle ground. Depending on how you receive orders, order volume, your accounting system and what the purpose of an ERP solution you are looking for, Megaventory can provide a simple, relatively cost-effective solution to a problem. It is easy to get sey-up; with organized info can be done in less than a week easily. It easy to use and manage. Only reason it got an 8 was, we outgrew the platform and needed something that can automate more processes for us, as well as, a system that better integrated to our accounting platforms. I know they were in the works to upgrade both of those features, so it may be what ou need and in that case, they would make a great partner. Does not offer as much ability to automate(import functions would have been very nice to have). Only does ERP, no accounting(for us that was a negative but will not be for everybody). It solved our order management and inventory control problem, which was, how do we move from managing our inventory and history of sales/purchases orders, transfers and adjustments online, instead of with multiple excel forms. The implementation time is really low, and the userinterface is really easy to understand, even if you are not trained with ERP software. What do you dislike about Megaventory? The mobile interface could be better, sometimes pages are a little bit slow to load, but that is usually a trade-off when using cloud-based solutions. Recommendations to others considering Megaventory: When searching for an attractively priced inventory management system, then Megaventory could be a software of choice. The software has selfexplanatory user-interface therefore does not need a long employee training. Navigating through the software is easy, thanks to a good subdivision. If you need to have limited authorizations for every employee, then i would not reccomend this software since you can't customize the limititations individually. The company grew bigger and bigger over time and traditional stock keeping techniques were not an option anymore. There was nobody who knew what exactly was in stock. Megaventory enabled us to clean the inventory and have a better overview over the stocks with current inventory, arriving products and pre-orderd items. We've used Megaventory for many years and it keeps getting better with each new version. It has all the features we need as a small business with hundreds of SKUs. We find the serial # function to be really essential for tracking our finished goods. The UI is easy to navigate and it's generally easy to figure out how to use new features without viewing the online help. While none of our employees are formally educated in inventory management we all are able to use it successfully. While functional and relatively easy to navigate the UI is a bit clunky / outdated. They could probably benefit from having a dedicated UI / human factors designer. The software's ability to keep in mind that even if I haven't received an item, it can still be accounted for and reserved for a customer. Also, the localization options are the best I've seen in any software, you can literally change any section to use the phrasing that best suits your organization. What I like the best is that only a few filed are required when defining products, suppliers and categories. However a plenty optional ones are available. It is very straightforward, so the implementation time is really short. You can pretty much start using it as soon as you buy it, although of course some configuration is necessary. It has a trial version which is amazing because you don't have to sign a contract or pay upfront and only afterwards realize what the software does/doesn't do. We like that we can manage our procurement, inventory and manufacturing from one solution and that it integrates with SolidWorks. The customer support is also amazing. They answer really fast and help us figure out how to solve our problems. They will also do customizations at request, which we have some times needed, and they delivered to our satisfaction. In a nutshell, we are getting great value for money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Megaventory? We would love it if we could have: 1. A purchase requisition process that includes manager approval (our procurement department still receives emails and spreadsheets to know what to purchase) 2. A more comprehensive AP invoice functionality. We can only record invoices that are linked to a PO/material receipt, so the rest of them (electricity bill, insurance, travel expenses) we cannot record in the system. This means we have two sources of payables and that is not good practice. 3. We cannot set approval limits for PO for different users. Some of our buyers should not be placing orders of more than a certain amount, but we cannot restrict that. We have not been too deep into costing or shipping functionalities yet, so I cannot comment on those two topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Megaventory solving and how is that benefiting you? Before Megaventory we were in total darkness. Thanks to this tool we now have control over what we are buying, storing and building. Despite being a small software compared to the big ERPs, it is truly keeping us alive. We manage all of our production, and we have started buying for our international offices using Megaventory. We have taken down your requests for purchase quotes with manager approvals and order value limits for consideration regarding inclusion in our product roadmap - thank you for your suggestions! Please note that you can create a product of Product Type Service and use that to record invoices such as those you mention (i.e. insurance, expenses, etc). Megaventory is not an accounting software so if you need a proper AP management, then you need appropriate bookkeeping software So, although again we see the value of such functionality living inside Megaventory until more advanced bookkeeping features become available you can make use of Quickbooks Online which integrates with Megaventory and can fully track your AP and other bookkeeping information. No support for localized taxes for India, so I am unable to use it generate Tax Invoices. Some invoices need taxation that is not line wise but on the entire invoice.
