In the case of images or videos, they are converted by MediaValet itself in a matter of minutes or even seconds. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** For new users, it's a little confusing to realize that there are 3 ways to download it: right-clicking the library file and saving, clicking the Download button AND opening the file, then clicking the Download button. I feel that there should be some instruction about the difference between each option because they are really different. **Recommendations to others considering MediaValet:** If you need to deal with a lot of visual content such as logos, photos and videos, MediaValet is the perfect choice. With it, you can catalog, convert and make assets available with unparalleled ease. Of course, it is also possible to upload files in other formats, but the difference is certainly the attractive look of the platform for multimedia in general. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** When you work at a gaming peripherals company, you deal with a huge variety of products. We use it for logos, creative and photo archiving and it makes our lives so much easier. Uploading and tagging items are a breeze, and the lightrooms make it easy to save frequently-requested groups of photos and logos and send them out to requestors. And the search system is so smart, it picks up on things even we don't notice in tagging photos. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I have very little complaints about MediaValet! Especially coming from our last system, the UI is great, even for people who don't usually access systems like this. We have trained people from many different parts of the business on how to use it and even they have very few complaints. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a historical venue, we have mountains of archival photos that need to be saved and categorized for easy searching. We also get many requests for logos and photos, and we were previously using another system's links to send those out. We have 45 years of content that has been largely unorganized, but thanks to MediaValet, it is now searchable and sharable. The MediaValet team also seems dedicated to making the product even better. Their onboarding team and process are super helpful and they are there to help in anyway they can. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** The biggest issue I have with MediaValet is that you cannot rename a file. You have to upload a new file with the proper name. That isn't a big deal for documents and small files, but when dealing with videos that are 100s of gigs, it can be annoying. I also find it strange that you have to pay an additional fee for audio/video indexing and the subscription model for those hours is a bit clunky and not very clear. I also wish there was an easier way for less tech-savvy users to upload content. **Recommendations to others considering MediaValet:** Do your research and see if MediaValet is the right tool for your needs. We looked into several solutions, and it came down to MediaValet and one other vendor. In the end, we needed MediaValet because of their full document search and audio/video indexing services. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem MediaValet solved was having 45 years of audio, video, documents, and images that are now more easily searched and shared.
