It helps by not having to download images to my desktop or OneDrive and then import them because we use connectors. I'm able to just open those files directly from the MediaValet connector, which saves me multiple steps in the process. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I wish that the InDesign connector was part of the MediaValet program and that I didn't have to do that through CI Hub. I also wish that changing the file structure, particularly the naming conventions in MediaValet, were a more straightforward process and didn't involve as many steps. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use MediaValet to keep our assets in the cloud, preventing system slowdown from large files. It allows easy access and integration with InDesign, saving me steps by avoiding downloads and enabling direct access via connectors. ### 3. I find it a more secure way to share external files compared to Dropbox or making Sharepoint externally accessible. I like that I can search for assets that I have previously uploaded, making it easier to find what I need. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I think MediaValet could improve by adding a consent feature for images, allowing users to link signed consents to photos or videos. I also prefer using folders rather than categories. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use MediaValet for secure file sharing and easy searchability of videos and photos, tackling issues we had with Dropbox in security and file tagging. ### 5. When we began using it, I did not require much training from my internal team. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** The search functionality was not great. Sometimes it was quite hard to find the images and content that I was looking for. It would bring up images that I did not need. This could have been an internal tagging problem but our photographer developed a pretty robust tagging system and folder system. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped us streamline our photo library across campus. It made accessing images easier across our team. It was one of our first introductions to a media storage system. It has been extremely helpful in streamlining our system. ### 6. League certificate templates with commissioner signatures are awesome and our players think they’re very cool! **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** Editing templates such as the certificate of achievement are extremely hard to edit and download. The idea is nice but they’re almost unusable because of this. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Branding and marketing materials and logos having to find correct and accurate logos. This is solved with media valet and very helpful ! ### 7. Eden was super friendly. Relatively easy to use. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** Our sales person and initial onboarding was great but handoff was terrible once Eden left. We never really knew or understood what was expected of us and didn't feel very supported at all and set it all up on our own basically. I wish there was also a way to add keywords in bulk after uploading that was more simple. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had no structure before MediaValet or any way at all to search for images. It's made finding assets much easier. ### 9. Certain departments only need access to certain folders so MediaValet helps with the filtering of data. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** That you can't rename files within the program. I find myself deleting files, renaming on desktop and reuploading because my organization has naming conventions that overlap. I also don't like that you can't have 2 files with the same name. **Recommendations to others considering MediaValet:** Organize files before uploading. Easier to upload in batches and have it correct the first time than to edit within. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving the problems of having different groups access different things by rejecting certain assets. The benefits we have realized is sharing externally. ### 12. Makes it easy to share customized lightboxes of images to others. A lot of content can be shared with many users and can be specific with each users permissions. Can handle various file formats. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** Uploading assets and tagging accordingly, and organizing categories. I have come across a lot of bugs and currently is not the most user-friendly interface. Not very intuitive and is very time-consuming, especially since uploads are queued. **Recommendations to others considering MediaValet:** Should have metadata and keyword system in place for assets to make it easier to search for and to be very organized with their folder structures. It can get cumbersome to require reorganization after assets have been uploaded. Good for when you have a lot of content to share amongst multiple users in different areas. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** How to share files with clients. Keyword search function and lightboxes make it easy to share. Having metadata easily displayed in MediaValet platform makes it easier to check the file's information without needing to download first. ### 14. Great Asset library for our company and our partners. Lower pricing than other DAM sites. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** The site could perform faster. Sometimes while uploading I was not sure if the asset successfully uploaded because there is a long delay before the asset appears in the gallery. A feature where high-res photos could be uploaded and locked from downloading would be helpful.
