I have always worked as an Account Executive and in my former job, we did not use Media HQ. As a result, most of my work involved doing what Media HQ does. Media HQ has added time efficiency to my role, and enabled me to get as much experience as possible in network building, writing and issuing press releases and building journalistic contacts - as opposed to the admin tasks which I would have done before. I find sometimes looking up journalists can be slow - or sometimes they automatically go under an 'exact' category and it takes me a while to find the journalists I am looking for. I would love to see a function where you can click a media house and see and search journalists under those media - for example, if I clicked RTE Digital and I wanted to find sustainability journalists, I could do this at the click of a filter - this is sometimes hard to do and I find irrelevant journalists in the existing search. For stations such as RTE and Newstalk, it would be helpful if it stated what programme each journalist/ producer works on in their title when you're searching for them - for example John Burke, Editor, RTE Radio 1, Morning Ireland. Also, the editorial deadlines for weekly and daily newspapers would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
