**What do you like best about Media Verifier and Scanner?**

DD Scan is an application whose objective is to determine if your hard drive contains errors.
HDD Scan also shows you the SMART attributes and the temperature of the hard disk, but its star function is the read and write tests. It has four different tests: Verify, Read, Butterfly and Erase. The main test is the verification test (Verify), which will determine if the hard disk needs repair, as well as the status of the sectors that can be recovered.

**What do you dislike about Media Verifier and Scanner?**

The interface design is quite basic (which makes it easy to use) but at the same time it is a bit crude to look at, even a bit old for users who value the user experience and the design applied to the functionality of a Program.

**Recommendations to others considering Media Verifier and Scanner:**

If you are someone with at least a basic idea about the components of your computer and you are aware of the maintenance and useful life of those components, this tool will help you to quickly determine if the hard drive of your pc, (essential element) has errors in its current operation. You cannot repair it with the tool but you can be aware of the state of your equipment.

**What problems is Media Verifier and Scanner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HDD Scan does not repair errors, but serves only as a warning and information, in order to take the hard drive for a professional repair. It even allows you to operate from Windows, and can be used as a complement to other software to measure disk speed and health, for example.
