Recommendations to others considering Media Composer:
The industry tried to move from Avid because it used to be super expensive so many went to FCP. Now everyone is either moving back to MC/Avid or using Premiere Pro but PP has been a complete nightmare for someone who has been editing a long time. Things like getting music or an effect to ring out is so simple in MC, where FCP tricky and PP its downright impossible unless you go through 20 steps (no joke) to make this happen. MC has been around for a long time and know what an editor needs. If you have used FCP, MC is better and its easy to figure out. I always explain it as trying to cook a meal in someone else's kitchen, once you figure out where everything is, its super simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Media Composer solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using MC for over 15 years and I love how the upgrades, mostly, haven't been so major that MC is unrecognizable. They seem to listen to the editor and improve things. Just makes my life easier so I can continue to get a high quality product out to my clients in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
