The second proctor was useless, dense, and genuinely an imbecile. I took an exam on this application, expecting something fairly similar to Respondus lockdown only to find ProctorU gained access and changed system-level settings without my permission and without me even being able to see. A message to any PROFESSORS, TEACHERS, or ADMINISTRATORS considering administering through proctorU: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The security implications are much worse than similar programs since it goes so deep and can access essentially all system settings without the user even seeing. While so far some of the issues have only done minor such as disabling computer features and sometimes bricking certain computers, just remember that when something does happy it will be all on you ... Not to mention: using proctorU does not stop cheating. If someone wants to cheat they will, and there are better ways to stop cheating than students someones security. These programs could potentially access bank accounts, private photos, messages, and other users accounts. They require every accessibility imaginable, and during setup they turned off my screen (a popular tactic used in malicious internet scams to hide anything questionable they want to do) for a few minutes. I know SOMETHING needs to exist in this space and this service did the job while doing extensive anti-cheat mitigation. You can run there test and pass but then it won't work or will stop working and you get stuck I. An endless cycle of tech to proctor to bot and around again. Always typing the same answers. I needed to take 3 tests, o e for each class. I. The four different days, 3 different networks, and two different co.outers tried I. All places I have successfully completed one. Spending a total of over 18 hours so far attempting to complete it. We take classes at ho e to fit out schedule, not to drive 30 miles to a t1 connection and still get kicked off or not through their system just to do the same trouble shooting and at the end being told it is your connection. Then prepaid to find a low use time of the internet if you would like it to work properly. The main issues concern Proctors not bothering to inform themselves of exam conditions and denying the use of notes in an open-book exam until the student argues successfully that they are allowed. Students face 2-3 hour delays because of errors on ProctorU's side. If a stduent goes to the toilet, they must leave their system signed in and hand over control to the Proctors so it's blind faith that they will not open or misuse your personal information. There have been several reports of students with Proctors that have an issue and switch to a new proctor mid-exam and the student has to show their entire room to the webcam again, while their exam is in session. **What problems is Meazure Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?** there are no benefits, it is a horrible service. strong discourage you from using it to not subject the participants to extreme levels of stress ### 23. I wasted 3 hours of my time because the proctor can't figure why the can't see my webcam. Response from the proctor is always delayed, they are most likely proctoring multiple exams. Their system is accessible only on 2 specific browsers and you have enable browser extension . Note that they retain your video while you are doing your exam for a year or so unless you opt out which is not easy to do. Read their privacy policy carefully. Also do not disable your firewall and antimalware/ antivirus. It was two sentences. That I, if looked on my own, could have found in 2 seconds. I was not late, my THREE proctors, couldn't figure out how to do their job. I want my money back I don't want to reschedule. Proctors did not know the exam conditions for invigilated exams, and were supervising from unsuitable conditions, such as noisy and distracting chicken farms. Proctors did not allow students to complete exams. They when you ask what happened you get a copy/paste statement. Allowed people to do their exams sometimes but often it just didn’t work. **What do you dislike about Meazure Learning?** The service is unprofessional and makes exams unnecessarily stressful. People have been stressing more about using this service than their actual exams which detracts from the purpose of university studies. **What problems is Meazure Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nothing really. ### 28. The proctor was able to verify my surroundings very easily. Plus, taking a test from my home was really comfortable. **What do you dislike about Meazure Learning?** The downside was I wasn't allowed to mutter out loud. When I'm trying to figure out a hard problem I like to mutter, but that was not allowed. This was the only downside. **Recommendations to others considering Meazure Learning:** Be sure that all of the necessary software is downloaded before you take your test. It can be a little confusing, but the support team is really nice. I finally got a support representative after answering all of the automated questions. Long story short - my test started at 1:30 and didn't end up taking it until 2:40. They were nice enough to give me the two hours needed for my exam even though I was over an hour late starting. **Recommendations to others considering Meazure Learning:** I would give myself some more time next time and also anticipate having to speak to a customer service representative. This was very frustrating because I had another test two hours after the first one. Luckily, I finished the first test earlier than I thought. Otherwise I would have had to take my second exam before. I feel like if you pay for a test you should be able to take it easier. **What problems is Meazure Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. ### 32. Their support system is amazing, and their availability typically outstrips other competitors. We've gone through a few different services, and always land on ProctorU as the best ones. **What do you dislike about Meazure Learning?** What i dislike are more issues with online proctoring in general, and not proctorU. if there are internet connectivity issues, the student experience is not great and if there are questions from the proctor, they have to connect with an administrator and are not able to troubleshoot on their own. However, these are unavoidable issues that come with the territory. **What problems is Meazure Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since I work for an Online masters program, online proctoring is important. What's more, we are highly ranked and having reliable and consistent proctors with a lot of availability is extremely important to us and our students to increase our student satisfaction and services, and therefore our rankings. Without ProctorU, testing on our classes would be much more difficult. ### 34.
