What do you like best about Maya?
The thing I like most about this software is its User interface, as it is Easy to use.
Maya has a lot of tools that make my Workflow easy.
Some convenient features, such as auto-rigging, the MASH tool and auto UV, that speed up the Work process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Maya?
It's a heavy software and often crashes when I work on a serious project.
Most of the time, Maya gets stuck when you keep on the motion trail to track the moment for your Character. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Maya solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used 3DSmax and Blender in the past, but later on, I switched to Maya, and it fixed most of the problems that used to come up while animating 3d characters. What do you like best about Maya?
Stable operation, convenient customization, menu marking, ease of modeling using a tablet.
I'm a 3D artist and I use Maya to create models and environments in games.

What do you dislike about Maya?
For more than three years I have been working with version 2018, and after switching to version 2022 six months ago, I did not notice any global changes or improvements in functionality that would help me in my work.
The manufacturer definitely needs to learn from Blender. Too many good artists leave to work at Blender just because of innovation and frequent updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Maya?
Creating organic shapes and subsurface modeling. Huge control over the textures, materials, and configurations using the node editor. The intuitive interface makes it easy to control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the interface have too much options and control in a single space which might be hard for first time user, making it not so beginner friendly. Also rendering require using nvidia GPU in order to accelerate the rendering time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Maya?

Because of there being so many features in the program, it gets a little overwhelming for people who are starting out to learn the program. It would be best if it was more intuitive in where all the functions are and more customizeable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
