**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Maya?**

I like the variety of modelling tools and how easy it is to merge surfaces. I find very useful the draw quad tool to clean up (trace) models created in other softwares and edge loop to generate creates. I also use Maya to generate animations and for rendering.

**What do you dislike about Maya?**

Considering I use Maya for architecture, I dislike the lack of control and precision compared to other softwares like Rhino. It is possible to model with dimensions but also very easy to loose them. I would also like it more if I could easily cut sections through the model without having to play with the cameras or actually cut the geometry.

**What problems is Maya solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maya is a great tool when modelling complex geometry.
