Maxis Technology is a U.S. IT services company specializing in data migration, database replatforming, and legacy modernization for IBM environments. Founded in 2011 and based in Eagle Rock, Missouri, the company is an IBM Gold Partner and an authorized IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) reseller. Its clients include public agencies, utilities, healthcare systems, manufacturers, and transportation organizations across the United States. Maxis focuses on the projects that organizations find hardest to move: aging asset management systems, mainframe and midrange applications, and databases that have grown over decades. Services include IBM Maximo Application Suite upgrades, licensing, training, cloud hosting, and Mx-Care, a 24/7 support service that supplements IBM Support. The modernization practice covers IBM i (AS/400) modernization, IBM Z mainframe replatforming, IBM TRIRIGA to Maximo Real Estate and Facilities migration, data archiving and purging, and integration and synchronization between systems. Maxis also moves data workloads to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks. Every engagement runs on the Alchemize Suite, a modernization platform built by Maxis. It maps system dependencies and complexity before a project starts, migrates and transforms data at high volume, converts Java, SQL, and mainframe code, and validates that the new system behaves like the old one. Because the work is automated and repeatable, Maxis can offer fixed-price engagements, run migrations with zero or near-zero downtime, and roll back a job when requirements change. Results from recent projects include: - An upgrade for IBM in which Maxis moved a global shipping company's 72 GB Maximo database from SQL Server to Db2 in under a week, with zero migration issues, under a fixed-price contract. - A zero-downtime approach for an automotive battery manufacturer that cut migration runs from about 20 hours to about 2 hours. - A migration of six environments from MySQL to Oracle for a large state transportation department. - The consolidation of 15 disconnected systems into a single production database. Maxis works alongside IBM and a network of partners, including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft, SAP, and Kyndryl, and supports system integrators that want to deliver data-heavy projects faster without adding staff.
