Max Secure Registry Cleaner allows you to make a backup before any repair is carried out, so that any changes that have occurred can be easily reversed. This functionality allows you to use this optimizer without fear of causing irreparable damage. In my case, I haven't had to resort to this recovery, but it's good to know that I have that option.
