You can do almost all the things, which you can do with the slack. I think, mattermost is the best and worth using alternative of the slack. Messages notification email is quite fast to acknowledge you. Mobile version of mattermost is also stable to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been testing Mattermost for quite some time, hoping to release it to the rest of the company. For the most part it has all that you would expect from Slack replacement - channels, mentions, file and image exchange, history, ability to create private groups and rooms, 3rd party tools integration, and more. This can be a real productivity boost, and the fact that it comes with on-premise istallation means a lot to our security.

This interface is much friendlier than some of the competitors, such as Zulip Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are two main disadvantages that I could see

1) No global search. If you create private rooms, which are great for individual teams or departments, you must search within the room. There is no way to search the entire system

2) No instant call feature, at least on our ree on-remise installation. You can integrate with Zoom or GoogleMeet, but of course, this results in additional clicks, and you know how we dislike extra clicks :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think what I liked the most is the possibility of fluid interaction between participants from different countries, expanding theoretical or academic conversations with videos and presentations in general, it is a space similar to a Slak or a teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I did not like at the beginning is that I found it a bit complex to adapt to the use of the resource, however there are simple tutorials that allow you to learn step by step how to get the best out of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It very uncomfortable when smb writes me an have to enter specific post to see the text, whet I was using Microsoft Lync it has one good function in a little window only one click and I can continue conversation with the person who writes me without opening it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface is rather familiar, especially having used Slack in the past. I primarily use it for team messaging, with Zoom and Google drive for collaboration. Very much comparable to Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
