Matillion is the greatest of all times cloud data integration platform i have ever encountered. I like how it can perform fast data transfer when the files are available in the cloud and since it's cloud-based we can take advantage of all the available cloud tools. Additionally, i love the fact that charges are based on Pay as you go thus allowing you to pay for what you need/use. The drag and drop functionality increases the ease of use thus saving much time. Allows easy drag and drop but also offers full power of native SQL or Python when needed. Very good value for money - scales very well, also for small use cases. The UI sometimes is a bit clunky and not very state of the art. You need to familiarize with some tips and tricks to work around those quirks. I love Matillion because by use of it, it provides results in an efficient way and what makes it stand out from its competitors is affordability and agility in terms of implementation. What do you dislike about Maia? The only thing I miss in Matillion is the ability for users to directly upload files such as CSV or Excel from their local desktop computers to the application. I come from a ETL/Data Engineering background and have worked on Ab Initio and Azure Data Factory for quite long. I found Matillion very easy to use and intuitive. I also liked the fact that finally a product is there which uses the power of DataBricks but you do not have write lines of code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Maia? Currently, very few video tutorials are available for using Matillion on Azure and connecting to Azure Synapse. Most of the material/videos available now are focused on AWS. The free subscription duration for new users and learners is 15 days. I feel that is way less and would like to see it increased.
