What do you like best?
I use MathType constantly when I am making activities for my students. It is great for worksheets, guided notes, and other classroom activities and lessons. The most convenient feature is being able to copy and paste math equations and save them as images. I use this to put together review games, warm-up activities and quizzes in my classroom. It has all the symbols I need for my lessons. I love that you can also change the size and font color, which makes it easier for me to customize lessons and materials. What do you dislike?
Most of the time Math Type fits all my needs, although I do wish that I could add a space easily. Sometimes I want multiple equations side by side but spaced out, or I want to add text right away. What do you like best?
Mathtype made everything easy. I am an engineer and I work with mathematical equations a lot. With Mathtype, I easily write formulas in Word and then when I want to write a report or paper in Latex, I can easily convert it to the other types that I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?

What do you like best?
Makes life easy and fast. Coming from primarily using word, this was a stressbuster and I wish I found out about it earlier. Especially for things like formatting, this is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
Why i like most about the MathType is that it comes with many useful characters and symbols that are useful in typing a mathematical or statistical equation. Another thing is that MathType is an easy to use software as all you need to do is to click insert and you feed the equation using the right symbols and characters. What do you like best?

What do you like best?
It has an option for every mathematical function I have needed. All of it is available with relatively minimal clicking/searching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?

What do you like best?
I like that it has the ability to cross over into other platforms as well. It is good for visualization purposes when I want to get certain equations on the screen and it does it in an easy to learn and efficient manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes the buttons are a bit faulty and then the program needs to be refreshed which gets rid of the initial equation, but that rarely happens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
MathType 5 delivers web magic. The new version 5 focuses on some web capabilities that provide what is, for now, the smoothest and most elegant way to display math on the web. For anyone else, especially those creating mathematical documents in Word or producing mathematically rich web pages, MathType is an essential tool. The lifetime technical support is also great. MathType is also a treasure that lets me make and edit custom quizzes, tests, worksheets. I also use it in typesetting mathematical formulas in PowerPoint talks for research presentations. I am extremely impressed with the results. It converts to many formats for using it on othe softwares. I consider it to be the easiest-to-use math typing tool on the market, and with professional appearance. Overall I am very happy with it.

What do you dislike?
A bit difficult to understand the arrangement of the symbols. Use of ctrl along with the spacebar hinders the typing speed. Matrices have over-extended brackets -- makes it look like there are extra blank rows. Matrix bodies are sometimes unaligned vertically with extra blank rows below the body. What do you like best?

What do you like best?
This tool helps in adding so much rigor in all the math objectives. This gives a chance to the teachers to be over the table creative and data driven and makes work easy for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
It kepps disabling sometimes and goes blank and you just loose all your data at once. It is also showing compatibility issues with other operation systems. Normally its 50$/month but using an academia discount one can get it at 40$/month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
MathType is really easy to use especially for users familiar with TeX formats. I previously used to rely on Word Equations, but ever since I switched to MathType, inserting and formatting equations has been really easy and straightforward. The software is very intuitive especially for users familiar with LaTex Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
Nothing per se. I use MathType very often and really like it. I guess the one downside could be that MathType requires familiarity with TeX formatting, but for experienced researchers, it is truly great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?
MathType is a remarkably easy and straightforward application designed to help you type out questions from simple algebra to differential equations.Whether it be adding an equation to a grade school paper or compiling a proof for a doctoral thesis, MathType will make it easier. What do you like best?
Mathtype is a great software for building equations. This works well if you are in school or if you need to create mathematical formulas for calculus or advanced functions. Use is to make the equations on your homework or papers look organized and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
The system could be a little slow to use. Mathtype requires you to select each individual element usually, minus the few shortcuts on your keyboard. There should be more customization to the functions you use often so that it is easier to type it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

What do you dislike?
