But when you have to integrate 5 different products to make it happen, it becomes a pain in the ass. This is especially true when it comes to small creators like me, single-handedly taking care of things like hosting, marketing, bookings, payments, and so on... Before Mastera, I was using a WordPress setup with woo-commerce and an LMS plugin. However, it created more problems than it solved. Mastera made it easy. It took me less than a week to move my first course here and start selling it. The no-code interface allowed me to quickly create my own branded website and set up payments and subscriptions without the need to get into the tech stuff. And now I'm planning to ditch WordPress and move all my video content here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Mastera? The only thing that bothers me is the branding. The logo on the footer is too strong. It could be tweaked to make it more subtle. I'd suggest changing it to "Made with Mastera" rather than "Teach on Mastera". The first one looks less like a CTA and yet it still gives you free marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Mastera doesn't try to be an all-in-one tool. It's designed to do one thing - help people deliver their courses - and it does it very well. It's not that I dislike Mastera, but rather I already had some tools that had course/membership function, so it might be more hassle than it's worth to move those courses over. Recommendations to others considering Mastera: I definitely recommend Mastera to someone looking to create and deliver an online course, and doesn't already have some kind of membership/LMS platform. It's ease of use, and inclusion of everything you'll need to effectively administer courses and/or coaching programs makes it great. If you already have a membership/LMS tool, you'll still probably find 1 or 2 features that can make your life easier (for me, I really like the unified inbox to communicate with students). Mastera is a unique LMS in that it provides all the features to expound your knowledge to the audience as a one-stop-shop with the ability to turn it into a teachers market place or hub. It is currently purely geared towards video lessons, so the ability to customize non-video content as to how information is displayed is limited, but improvements are on the way. Mastera takes care of everything in one place, so you don't have to worry about bringing together multiple different products to craft a platform to deliver your eLearning course. Because everything is provided in the one platform I can spend less time working on stitching things together and more time developing my content. The features that are present appear to be well developed. I'm impressed by the quality of the outputs being created, which will improve the experience of my users. Big thumbs up I also appreciate that uploaded course content is woven in with other delivery methods including live sessions. You can also sell products at the same time which gives you a unique opportunity to sell products that you might be teaching or which might be integral to the material that is being presented. Because everything is handled for you, the amount of customisability for your platform is limited to what is supported by Mastera. If you plan to make the most out of what has been provided (which is pretty comprehensive) then this isn't going to be a problem Signing up was straightforward but again fairly restrictive. Accounts are tied to email addresses which can be fiddly to work with if you are working on multiple platforms at the same time. There is a partner program which is nice, but the features of that system are still needing to be developed. There are many options for delivering eLearning content nowadays, and Mastera is a good option. Because it brings together all the functionality you need to manage a course and deliver your content, it streamlines the process of developing your academy. It is the first all in one platform that has a calendar feature and focuses more on classes and instructors, rather than just on demand. So far, the only thing would be that it's still new and will have some bugs as they develop further. It's perfect if you already have an in-person business and are looking for a way to bring it online. That's what this is build for. And that's what it does right away. You can adapt it for other purposes. But it might not be a perfect fit today, then. What is impressive compared to WordPress + WooCommerce: Everything I might want to use is already there. Just like that. Mastera has features that my bigger site does not have. I would have to buy and install even more plugins … Also great: Compared to WordPress, this is super low maintenance. Generally, I would say: It has a great and helpful feature set. The features themselves are sometimes simple compared to something like WordPress + WooCommerce. But that can also be an advantage because I am less likely to waste time and energy on decisions and details that are not that important in the end. The backend is nicely designed. What do you dislike about Mastera? You have to live with what the Mastera team integrates and how they integrate it. Although it has Stripe, PayPal, and RazorPay, PayPal is the only option for Thailand but cannot use for transactions within Thailand. I like that I can have my classes live not only via zoom but I can choose another link that is a plus. which I was missing in spayee. the UI is so clean and I like it so much. I love that the software is all in one. Has the ability to book classes and appointments and on demand classes. keep all clients in one general place on the internet for doing business with our brand. The platform is in it baby stages. while there is a lot that is working, there are also some major functions of the platform that have unresolved glitches and are in the middle of fixes. Ex. the chat widget, waiting on a Android inbox app (to launch in 2 months), the appointment and class booking feature needs cancelation windows and to fix some double booking issues. overall great bones!
