When you start using IDE visuals and its features for the first time then you might look mind-boggling but Martini has a well descriptive Step-by-Step tutorial that explains each and everything in detail and clear. - I saw Martini try to adopt the latest technologies in advance in their platform and already have a rich integration library of daily use technologies that are capable of automating someone's business effectively.

- Pretty familiar IDE. Those who are previously familiar with Eclipse/IntelliJ Idea will like it.

- Desktop as well as cloud (browser-based online environment) version available.

- Clear, concise documentation with the visual example, which is nice.

- Highly interactive UI so that configuration/design can be managed by drag-drop which results in writing less code. I think this feature is beneficial for those who are less expert in coding.

Really interactive product with all the features on one go. As a backend developer, I would definitely recommend it to all people as it helps in creating services and endpoints easily with less effort required. Along with it's also providing a flexible way of documenting the APIs. No need of different products for different tasks. Another best part is that it's also providing a report builder that would help in visualizing the services endpoints which is a really good feature when you are more concerned about the ongoing stats and performance. There was a problem with running the instance as sometimes it was taking a bit more time than usual. When I left the IDE for a little while the packages were not displaying. I had to restart the instance again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Docs are really easy to understand, not only because of how they are written, but also because the application has very clean concepts and abstractions.

* Clean Separation of Endpoint and Services.

This allows the user to implement the integration logic separately from how it is consumed.

Multiple endpoints can then be used to get the necessary inputs to invoke the service.

* Implementations can be done using a gui/drag-drop/no-code language called Gloop.

If you hit it's limits, you can implement logic using Groovy.

* (Mostly) Generated API documentation.

* Authentication options seem a bit limited. We can use an embedded user system coupled with oAuth2.

- There seems to be no way to make a distinction between client and user, only user with password grant_type seems supported.

- If we want custom authentication, we'll have to fallbackt to adding a proxy and securing it at the network layer.

- Maybe a great option would be to have an option to create Gloop or Groovy Authentication filter as well.

I couldn't find any documentation on how to create packages without the IDE. It seems to be a json based format and it would totally awesome to be able to generate these packages from code.

There is a REST api that seems to support this, but I couldn't find detailed documention. (yet)

Git support would also be a very interesting feature. It could be another way to distribute the packages between different instances. Staging->Prod for instance.
